Having only played P5R, I'm always shocked at how much wasn't there originally. There's new story segments, quality of life features, and gameplay features. There's also the darts and Tycoon mini games, which are surprisingly addictive.
Can't talk about the Yoshizawa and Akechi stuff, but it's worth playing through P5R just for their third semester content. Maybe my fav persona arc ever.
That's the motivation I need to hear!
@ChocolateKieran also should be noted there are changes to Akechi's confidant that make him a lot more interesting.
without giving anything away, third semester in royal is very good but there are two social links you need to max in order to unlock it. kasumi and maruki

@@ChocolateKieran yeah that’s definitely the move, story overall is basically the same other than some added events for kasumi. the qol changes and other additions definitely make it worthwhile to replay though

@@jmurray1110you don’t need to max akechi he has to be rank 8. you do need to max his sl for special dialogue
The first versions are against normal shadows and the second ones are against bosses, that's why they're a bit different.
Also can't explain the last ones without spoiling so you'll have to play it yourself. ;)

Yeah I've been doing so while playing the game, there'll be a compilation when I finish! Should finish the game next week so expect a ton of P3 Reload compilation reactions including social lins, cutsctenes, episode links and more 😁
to answer your question "why the showtime are differents?" it's related to the target, if you trigger it on a boss or not, if it's on a boss, it's a pov of the showtime attack and on a mob, you see it as a spectator. that's also why there are shorter

Play Royal for sure. There's new stuff added throughout the base game, and a whole 3rd semester in the end game. I was the same and was super hesitant to play P5R, luckily it finally came to steam and I got to play it.

As someone who's played all of the modern 3 and all of their spinoffs, I didn't really think P5 was as great as the others. At least until P5R came around.
P5R seriously makes P5 go from a 8.9/10 game to a 10/10 game, the new content is some of the best in gaming.

Its always nice to see someone check these out but u did spoil yourself a little with them since they do have some story reason behind them, at least the final 2 do.
It doesn't feel like it without any context... As long as nobody explains the context I'm exctied to figure it out by playing the game along with you all 😁

The reason there are two different variations is because theyre either used on a boss or a normal enemy, I feel like its to make the bosses more powerful, like seeing the boss get destroyed by haru and makoto might feel out of place cause it isn't used against some random.
Persona 5 Royal essentially adds another palace and a half...also a LOT of new scenes not just including the ones related to our new characters.
(Trying hardest not to spoil this masterpiece just trying to describe what's new but it's a different experience entirely ESPECIALLY Momentos)
The game starts changing after the first palace. Kasumi, Akechi, and Maruki become confidants and they are how you access the third semester.

the shadow that Kasumi interact with u say have different hair color, shadow could change cloth or make up but could not change their hair color so it not her shadow
There isn't typically Jojo references it's mostly Fist of the Northstar. Persona despite what people say doesn't actually reference jojo in a noticeable degree it's either a similar concept or a fist of the northstar (which is where ora ora originates from)
I mean JoJo was basically a Fist of the North Star inspired parody from memory so it makes sense!

A long time ago, I played p5 all the way, not once but two times, and even got a platnium for it. Then, some years later P5R came out, and it was back in I went, with a guide so I knew what I needed to do, to unlock what was after the final boss from the normal P5, and some 80 hours later, I got too the end of P5R, and yet another Platnium in my hands. If I could sit through two full playthrough of P5, which took over 200 hours to do, and still enjoy P5R, then I'm sure that you can do it too.
The problem is that there have been 100 other games I've been wanting to and have been playing, so putting so many hours into a game that feels os similar to one I've already put 100 hours into felt demotivating at the time. After 6 years or so it might be time to dive in thogh (once I beat 4 Golden)!
@@ChocolateKieran I have my own backlock of games, so I get why that can be a problem, since any persona game can take around 100 hours per playthrough.
This may be me, but I trully think that, to appreciate the changes from P5 too P5R, one have to have played P5 first, to really see those changes, but the game really is just P5+, just like P4G is just P4+ and P3FES is P3+. Here is an idea, if a game is too long, then do what I'm doing with Metal Gear Solid 5, and just play a bit at the time, because that game can be long, and I have put over 60 hours in at this point, and this is while I'm playing both P3Reload and Genshin Impact as well, so again the backlock will never end over here.
I can explain nothing about the things you want to know about P5R without spoiling. you just have to play the game.

idk what video you were watching but there were some pretty weird visual glitches in it. kept seeing joker's hair and mask separating from his body.
Considering they were fighting Shido(or that the setting was Shido's Palace) during Joker and Akechi's showtime--
It was modded.
Assuming so that Akechi could get his revenge on Shido.
@@5Geass rewatching this i’m pretty sure that whoever recorded this was emulating the switch version with mods. it honestly annoys me a bit that they saw all the glitches and issues and decided to upload it anyway.
