That was Berry helpful 🙂 thank you
Love the /Cardinals. They come to my yard in spring lots of them with their partner. I dont have berries or whatever else thy eat. I am told they are here to remind us of people who have passed and are watching over us. My daughter died alomst 10 years ago and they are here.m They will make a special trip next month and show up for her birthday. Every year since she is gone they are here
I'm enjoying the course. Thank you so much for this.
You're very welcome!
I love that no birds were hurt during the making of this Video no impaled birds
Yes lol
Awesome thank you
I am glad I found your channel, Cinnamon. As a beginner in acrylic painting, I like how you teach. You take the time to explain each step. I did the first painting - the two cats. Not so bad. The angry cat looks funny. You might say that it came from the Twilight Zone. For this painting, it was challenging but I had fun. I did however wanted to quit after I tried the fan brush technique. It looked like a hot mess. I pushed through and even though my birds are odd looking, I am quite happy with the end result. Lesson here is not too quit. Thank you for the tutorial. On to the next tutorial. Yours truly, a new subscriber.
im so glad i could help!
I just started watching your videos and I am captivated and totally consumed by them. I like to watch the video first then go back and do the painting. After watching this video I have now learned the importance of layering and how it makes SUCH a difference in your paintings. With this simple little painting you have taught us so much, it is just genius! I can't wait to come back tomorrow and start painting and see what other things I will learn doing the other paintings as well. So excited! Thank you for these blessings!
of course!
Thank you so much for your endless guidance, patience and a way that I can learn at home at my own pace. This painging was a challenge for me. The lines and the trees were wobbly. The frustration from all the drying time made it very hard, and since my paints are pretty transparent it took twice as much layers. But I did it! And I am very proud! Thank you ❤
Wonderful!, glad to hear your persevered. Well done 🤎
Wow when you added the white to the feathers..They came alive for me!
Awesome 💕
Thank you so much!
❤❤❤ enjoying your classes.
im so glad
Thank you for this class! I’ve leaned a ton and my birds turned out much better than I expected. You are an amazing teacher and your time and efforts are appreciated!
Love beginners painting ❤️
So glad! 🤍
You are such a wonderful teacher.
I’m going to try and paint this when I get home from my doctors appointment.
Awesome!
Loved painting these little cuties. Thank you so much Cinnamon & John.
Thank you Pat. Always so lovely so see you 💙
Ty ❤ I painted two of these at the same time and gave them as Christmas gifts. Was harder than I thought it would be though but I leaned so much Thx! 🥳
Adorable birds Cinnamon!! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! 🥰
It was such a lovely tutorial . As a newbie u have made it so easy. Love all the way from India .🥰
Thanks so much 😊
Such a cute painting - love how the red pops against the blue background Great work thanks for sharing. 🎨 👍🏻 👩🏻🎨
Thank you!💓
Lovely, I am an artist and just watched for fun, I think the great thing is ; that you show people can mix all these colors from primary colors, instead of buying lots of different paint! Colours, ! Good teaching I think!
Thank you, and yes, it is important to know about coloring mixing 🤎
I ordered 3 primary colours now from Sennelier after watching your fantastic super duper colorwheel tutorial. Take care 🌷❤️
Love your classes: Thank you; you are a blessing
Thanks, and you are welcome. 🤎
It looks like one of those red round Christmas candies Only in blue
Yes!
This is such a cute tutorial but with some strong core lessons here! I had to go back and re-watch color mixing. My Grumbacher "Thalo" blue (RB-15:3 & PBK-9) wants to go turquoise and Ultramarine Blue (PV23 & PB29) goes violet! It's been a struggle and I will definitely be buying some Sennelier Abstract PB-15 or cyan. Loving this learning series you have created. AMAZING!!!
Wow that is so sweet Teri Thank you very much Glad it was helpful!
Omg I really struggled with this one but I love your tutorials. Thank you very much for your effort and positivity 😍😍😍😍
Your welcome!
This was such a cute painting. Thank you so much for this class. You are such a great teacher and I have really learned a lot on my Acrylic journey.
Awww, thanks so so much 💕
Adorable!! Love painting little birds 🐤 🐦 💕
💕🇨🇦💕thank you!
Loved this one today!! We are a lil behind as far as the videos are concerned but still working thru. Today we watched this one. It was really encouraging to the boys. And me! Thank you 🤗💕🤗
Trisha, you are so very welcome. As I said in live today, take your time, don't stress, this will be here for the duration, and you can finish and get your certification any time. 🌷
@@TheArtSherpa I appreciated you saying that in the live today and then again in the q&a on Facebook. I appreciate you reminding me not to stress. Good reminders for me … Always! I am guessing you know that especially after our time at the retreat 😂🤗 We are looking forward to working thru this all. It has been so good already for us. Showing us areas to work on in more than just art 😋
thank you for another great lesson!!! this one turned out so stinking cute!!
Thank you and so welcome too 🌸
Cute painting. Thanks!
Thanks and welcome 💗
I love this background, can't wait to try it. I finished painting #1 today! Thanks for answering my questions. Things were a little off, but still cute. Having some problems with the Abstract White paint. Taking me a while to do these because I watch 3 or 4 times before starting; and I started a part time job, so don't get to paint as long as I want. But I love this course. Thanks you so much!
You are absolutely welcome 🧡
It was great that you also mentioned signatures. I recently changed mine when I realized schools no longer teach longhand writing! Lol I think you are wonderfully spirited and your collaborations with your husband are so sweet. TY
Thank you so much from both myself and John 🌻
I found it difficult to stop looking at the drawing once I saw this art. Amazing, interesting, and joyful. Thank you for sharing.....!YOU HAVE A GREAT FUTURE AHEAD ❤️
Thank you so very much 🌷
Wow. Trying to do the first step with a 1/3 inch was painfull, definitely getting my self some larger brushes
You really should. So much easier and will get better results. 💖
Very beautiful....!!!!
Thank you
Thankyou for your tutorial I've always wanted to learn how to paint and now I can.
Cinnamon is it possible for you to use a different colour chalk as it's very hard to see the yellow one.
Thanks for letting me know 💜
Thank you so much! Painting #2 complete. Gonna upload it to facebook and instagram, then hopefully finish painting #3 later this evening. I really appreciate all that you do here. And I finally found a primary blue in my supplies I like: golden phathlo blue (green)! I'm using a cheap 4 round from TMOL art supplies, its the only 4 I have atm, however I'm waiting on a new one!
Awesome, keep them coming. You can do this. Hope your brush gets there soon 🌻
I love how you do most of your painting with a #4 Sherpa round brush, because I just found out I have a lot of control with mine...I cannot say I have that with an angle yet, even though that is what I usually use!
That is great to hear. And just practice on paper or canvas paper. It will become 'muscle memory" 🌹
QUESTION: The fan brush your using ...is it hog or synthetic? Can the sherpa fan give the same effect or is hog better for this?
😍
😍😍
Love the cute birds. YOU MENTION THE OPTION of painting the moon as a sun instead how would you do that? Just paint the circle yellow and orange?
Yes for this I would paint the circle a light yellow and keep the sky a lighter blue
I love love the techniques and ideas for this painting, but the red isn't my favorite 🙈 would another color work as well for this painting? Maybe making berries more pink, and the birds purple?
You could totally do that, or make the berries magenta. 💛
@@TheArtSherpa thank you :)
I love your work and have been trying to paint along with you for a while. I am doing this course in 2022 and have purchased the fan brush from your suggestions but I am struggling with it. I cannot seem to keep it from doing the fingers of death thing. How can I stop the fan from clumping, especially on the edges? It gives my paintings a line drag look that is very off-putting.
I am sure i can help Can you tell me exactly which fan it was. There are a couple I recommend.
@@TheArtSherpa I purchased the 4 fan mimik hog by creative mark through Jerry's Artarama. I am sure that I am just doing something wrong.
Where can I buy the #4 round brush that you use? And what exactly is the name?
That brush is no longer availalbe, they have stopped manufacturing it. 🧡
@@TheArtSherpa Is there another company that makes it?

I am enjoying the course so far and this painting. I ended up doing my birds very differently than yours and I really like the upside down one. However, I seem to have muffed up the other one. I feel like the problem is that I "lost" his head. Then I tried to fix it and...not so good. I took pictures of them so you can hopefully give me some tips for fixing the problem. I just don't know how to get the pictures to you.
Post them to The Art Sherpa Official group and tag me in the post 🌷
😀
💚💚💚
I did it. Both lessins so far. I struggled with adding the detail to the birds. Any advice?
Use a small detail brush or a posca pen. 🌺
I can't figure out why, but I can't get anywhere near as much out of my paint as you - I have to use much greater quantities to get coverage and for it to not be dry. I am using student grade paint on the cheapest canvas from Michaels. Is the canvas an issue?
It is likely all of the above a paint , canvas, and brush load issue. Lots to look at to find what the issue is. The big thing is know its not you. Did you see this video? czcams.com/video/nqEUQEBFTP8/video.html

@@TheArtSherpa Thanks. I reviewed the canvas prep part and it helped.
Hello,
I have a quastion. Can I also use acryl paper to do these tutorial lessons? I now used linnen "paper".
And know from your tutorials that linnen is not a good Idea whit acryl Paint. Thanks voor the answer! Catharien
Yes, just either do a couple coats of gesso or white paint first. This is keep the paper from stealing all the moisture out of you paints and help with blending 🤎
This is going to be my next painting and I have tried all three methods on the traceable. No matter what I do, it is to light for me to see. Help. I am not good at drawing. Thanks
CINNAMON WHAT BRAND OF PAINT ARE ARE THESE I CAN'T FIND ANY THAT SALES PRIMARY COLORS ? 😓
I am using the Sennelier primary set. It has primary red, blue and yellow, and black and white. 💞
Very true, but not all manufacterers list them as primary color. 🧡
Ok I have PHALO Blue is that what is was ?
do have to paint this frist
So the 10 paintings in the beginners course are designed in order to help build skills. that said they are designed to be watchable on their own and painted at anytime
