Oh man, I painted in the black background last weekend but have had to work a crazy number of hours this week. I woke up at 4am today with unexplained energy and my first thought was "I'm going to work on this painting today before I have to log on!" Painting & your course are soooo important for work-life balance, I used to be a real angry head case at work but a few months after I started painting it is like I'm a different, almost disturbingly mellow, person!
I am so glad you found some time to work it in for your creative space. I agree having time to paint lets the mind get quiet and still the noise of the world. Really helps me too
So easy to follow…I made a template of jar by folding paper in half to get accurate symmetry…cutting it out ..many thanks.

I am loving this lesson so much! My mason jar looks more like a Ginger jar vase but what a great exercise. Painting clear glass can be a challenge and you show us the tricks! Been watching today I am going to paint all glass and some Christmas ornaments. I like to push myself I love Christmas all year. I always give away for Christmas cards then I don't have any. I have been giving my gnomes for Valentines and birthdays

I'm chugging along here, today I'm a bit too beat to finish a step, however now I am beginning to understand I first learned to paint in a painterly, California impressionistic style. This is a much different approach to painting.

I love the leaves you start creating at the 46 minute mark. You said it is a round #4 brush. What brand of brush are you using? Is the tip very pointy?
I was using my own Sherpa brush they aren't available anymore. The Sliver brush Black Pearl line is a good #4 round as well 💞

I'm loving the paintings and seeing everyone's work. I can't paint everyday bc of nerve pain in my arm. Will we still get a certificate if we complete it after November?
Absolutely, The certificate is availble no matter when you finish. Be sure to listen to your pain/body and finish on your own time 🌺

Can I just use a black canvas? And do you still have to cover the whole canvas with paint?
Yes, you can use a black canvas. However, if you need to cover mistakes, the black won't match totally, Close enough though. If using a black canvas, no, you don't have to paint over it. 🌹

There are several places you can find them. You dont have to have an exact copy just your version of this painting. I have a traceable for it but the post important thing is to have fun , learn the techniques and complete the painting

I enjoyed doing this painting very much. However, I WAS WONDERING YOUR #4 LOOKS LIKE MY#6 IS THERE OR COULD THERE BE THAT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE WHEN IT COMES TRO BRANDS? I am using a Simply Simmons #4.or perhaps some video distortion of sorts is making the brush appear bigger. ALSO I purchased the Primary color kit of Abstract acrylic paints from Michaels which is great BUT MY YELLOW IS REALLY, REALLY THICK WITH LITTLE LUMPS WHEN YOU GO TO MIX IT. IT IS NOT CREAMY LIKE ALL THE OTHERS. SHOULD IT BE RETURNED? AND IF SO WHERE IT CAME AS A KIT (WHICH IS ALL THEY HAD) I AM ASSUMING I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN THE WHOLE KIT???? If I mix in some Golden Retarder and work at it I can get it smooth.
There is no standard Sizing n brushes often in the same line. The numbers can be the same and the brushes could be super differnt. My tip is I have average size hand for a woman ( i learned when getting fitted for gloves) You can see the brush to the size of my finger. Some companies will let you know the MM of a brush too
