This man sees the fight in slow motion. His ability to slip in combos past his opponentâs guard, and block and counter is truly something to behold.
He uses the force of their strikes against his blocks to charge the next punch, it's awesome.
true some people have gift like that...my friend was a member of muay thai team he really can dodge strike and he said to me its like on slow just like in the toby spiderman the part where the bully tried to hit him
It's like he's fighting 1 minute into the future.
And he got tapped out by a jiu jitsu guy in the first round. Maybe he needs to practice more and get to super slow motion?
He's gonna see everything in slow motion when a wrestler renders him helpless on the canvas and either submits him, bests him silly, or the ref stops it.
He definitely has pieces of Shaolin martial arts in his style but I think the one piece of those martial arts that many find useless in MMA is not in technique, but in work ethic, ideology, and toughness. He brings loads of that to the table.
This is a similar philosophy to the gym Israel Adesanya trains at.

Not just the reaction, the amount of power he generates is a lot more than most of his opponents the only reason why you don't see Shaolin Monks fight more often is because a lot of them train at the Shaolin Temple for decades, or even until they get old, or when they are old, and their training isn't as peacefull as MMA fighters their training this isn't like regular jujitsu this is relentless training for over 10 hours in comparison most martial arts are a joke.

Incredible stamina and so much power I know as a shaolin monk they are teaching you to basically not only make your body tougher but also how to understand kinesiology in a way you can throw all of your power to a single point while using no wasted energy, that's why he fight like a damn brick
The thing I notice about Shaolin fighters is that they have techniques that are also extremely tempo efficient in the fight, things like moving exactly as much and only as you need to avoid the opponent's punch while throwing your own.
I think Shaolin martial arts are probably underrated because there aren't many people who are actually so good at fighting that they can execute the style at that level anymore because they're not being attacked.
But when someone is diligent and can actually incorporate those techniques, they seem to work out really well.
The man is built like a tank. He takes every hit without taking damage and every strike he makes is loud and thunderous. It has to be his shaolin training that built a body like that which is what makes him so great at fighting. His opponents might be the same size and weight but they are at a disadvantage physically.
Like you saw at one point the other guy tried to push the shoalin and instead of the shaolin moving he was moved back.
He only started training at 16 and spent 4 (four) years in a Shaolin temple, so imagine those who start training like crazy from a very young age for decades. It beats me why none of the best of them actually go out of these temples and become professional fighters, they would do extremely well. Their bodies would be hard as rock, literally, and they must be extremely fast and deadly.
Yeah, so the stories we all see about them (Shaolins) are so true
@@aloismburu9230 , not stories, but common sense. The best pianists are AWAYS those who train from a very young age. As when your so young your fingers, etc can adapt much much better.
The only explanation I can think of is that theres always rules in any martial arts competions. Take boxing, you're only allowed to punch, and you have to wear gloves and you cant punch below the belt, etc. Even MMA you cant stomp on your opponents head, you cant bite , cant kick the groin, cant poke the eyes, etc. Even just one single rule can change the results dramatically. Thats why in real no holds barred fights, a very good proffesional fighter can be beaten by a nobody who's enranged and just wants to kill.
i bet the top monks are so dedicated they wouldnât think of doing mma

Shaolin monk training produces some of the quickest, most flexible, acrobatic, and disciplined martial artists in the world. Their training is all about conditioning to make your mind and body stronger. The blend of that mental and physical aspect with a few adjustments for mma makes a dangerous fighter. They train in some ways similar to how a soldier would, but soldiers learn the most effective ways to kill on a battlefield, while monks train to perfect their technique, but the level of focus is the same.
@@ghatesspeech what exercise they perform to achieve this?
@@cautarepvp2079 it's their entire lifestyle dedicated to training mind and body from a young age
As someone trained in boxing, I'm guessing the most useful attributes from shaolin is this guy can seem to take a enormous amount of punishment and his inhuman stamina. There are only so many hits you can block before your arms hurts and go numb which causes your reaction to slow down which can be seen in his opponents blocking his hits and that coupled with them losing to him also in terms of stamina makes him a extremely terrifying opponent if the match isn't ended quickly.

One thing about the chinese is that they are stupidly efficient. A lot of fighters dance around too much and you can see they repeat the same movement patterns making them easier to predict. This guy has very little superfluos movement. You can just see it on his posture and attitude. Also those frontkicks from him looked very fast too.
I agree that he's efficient, but some of those "superfluous" movements are to keep the opponent guessing and psyche out. It's also good for defense and setups.
Yeah but he still lost that last fight that was advertised near the end of the video.
It's so interesting that everytime his opponent attacks he takes it as an opportunity to counter. Nobody else is really fighting like that right now, they usually take a moment to adjust after getting hit, I feel like he's going to end up changing the game entirely
Chinese martial art is mostly based on counter attacks. Just wait, same like Japanese ronin in 1 vs 1 fight to the death.
@@LKH9Channel definitely don't see it in mma a lot

Like ronin sword fights, one wrong move and you're dead meat.
True. I trained traditional chinese martial art for some years and this is also what I noticed. We were taught that the best way to stop an attack is to attack yourself. Otherwise the opponent will just attack again. Every block and dodge was taught to be part of counter attack or an attack in itself. Very nice to see this in MMA. At the end of the day punching is punching, kicking is kicking, moving is moving and grappling is grappling. They don't really differ that much from style to style in anything but emphasis. What really makes styles different are the fundamental tactics, and the traditional Chinese way of treating every defence as offence has always just made sense to me.
@@janheikel7751 and when you attack, you protect at the same time, Bruce Lee demonstrated that before. And Chinese kungfu flows continuously without wasting energy. Let's also give credit to those who can take this guy's punishing hits. I felt half those kicks in my chest and no way I'd be able to take half a round with this dude.
Everyone gets participation medals yayyyy - But seriously, they wouldn't be very good MMA fighters if they couldn't take some hits and slowly lose the cognitive ability to comment on CZcams videos in a meaningful way. If they threw me in a ring with any of these fellas, let me tell ya! I would be just another sports related vegetable in less than 10 seconds ha ha

I've been waiting for this my entire life. Shaolin Warrior Monks are not to be underestimated or trifled with.
I have never seen someone throw a kick quicker then the average punch he is absolutely incredible, the stamina it takes to be so relentless in his attack I've never seen anything like it
Bruce lee did it all the time
Incredible stamina. He has the same power from start to finish. A true champion.
Champion of what ? He's 5-2-0 fighting beginners
careful guys, we have a badass in the comments section
@@moejameson6820 bruh he is 17-5
Iâve always had admiration and respect for the MONK WAY SO AWESOME
Some amazing guys, I like him and his style of the fighter, he always knows when attacking and blocking, he is for me like very young dangerous tiger đ đđđđđđâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžđđđđ
Love the sliding elbow. đThis fighter is SMART. Make him more dangerous is his mixed boxing techniques and shaolin kungfu background.
he mixes it up so well.. also great how he uses his knees and elbows.. nice to see someone use push and front kicks for offense instead of just defense
Agreed. The knees and elbows impressed me the most.
the resilience, the stamina, team lakay u got a serious challenger here, the real deal
Ahh man.... Would definitely love to see him in the UFC !!!
Imagine if he was a 155'er
From Shaolin to crankin elbows into faces. Love it.
elbow to the face is one of the 1st moves you learn in xiaolin, it's in the louhan 18 hands form, which is among the 1st taught.
@@yamiyomizuki It's beautiful
lol he was never a shaolin monk.
It out a smile.on my face:)
@@MrOptimusheath only for 4 years so technically he was so he is EX Shaolin.
Shaolin training is hard af. Respect
@Henry F Wagons how bout you GFY?
@Henry F Wagons Training also includes extreme conditioning, balance, reflexes. He was obviously able to take that conditioning and apply it to MMA
99% of his style in the ring is krav and juijitsu
@Henry F Wagons grow up kid.
@Henry F Wagons No, he meant "dancing" with your mom while your dad watches
I have never seen any fighter with such accurate and powerful instinctual blows that this guy's unleashes in the ring, on top of that he is literally tireless. Just imagine what kind of fighters shaolin has as their representatives of their art. This has undoubtedly proved that shaolin is not only practical but also deadly in effect.

He's a nobody 5-2-0 fighting nobody's lol
heâs not a dude, heâs a man. Youâre a dude
at 2:18 he saw it coming and blocked the kick while simultaneously hitting him with a powerful left that is definitely shaolin style forshore
This guy is so tenacious. And his attacks pack power...!!!
His reaction time and counters is top notch
Wow this guy is relentless. The balance and stability. The strength to continuously strike.Ive never seen before amazing.
Yeah been waiting for someone like this to enter MMA and change things up. Only took a proper shaoling monk to do it not that yi long imposter đ
A lot of proper leg training and stances plus stamina. Shaolin has it all. That is why it takes 15 years to master. No jumping around, everything to the point
This guy has gotta be one of the most satisfying fighters to watch
His form and his precision is unreal itâs like watching a video game
hes got some nasty lowkicks and excellent balance and accuracy
Love new hungry fighters. They're fresh and always resilient
Bringing respect back to the Shaolin Temple.
Even when he misses a powerful strike
He is poised &
returns to a cucked & loaded position ready to strike again .. Impressive..
Hes holding back his 1 inch death punch on his opponent's
Every competitive fight this man enters is disrespectful to Shaolin.
@@Nobody-11B is it because personal gain? Or does his earnings go to the needy? ( Charity )
Is it wrong to use your skills and $$$ use earnings to help the needy? In places where children sleep with empty stomachs , held by their crying mother?
Perhaps a comment left for this fighter will tell us who are unknown to this man , other than seeing fighter.
Lot of false Masters out there who teach nonsense. They have been dragged out into the light of truth. I do not know the man , just a fighter on the screen.
Is he really a Monk or has gone astray?
@@joshuasmith6346 he didn't learned that because he only trained four years and one inch punch takes 8 10 years to master if he did rip ground fighters because you only need one inch to ko to grapplers.

What a complete fighting skill. Cannot wait to see his next match, especially against ground fighting opponent
He got tapped in the first round
Holy cow, he's like a tank with a mean punch
As Mas Oyama said: The ones training harder have advantage. Train hard.
I expect nothing less from a Shaolin trained monk, fighter. Very exciting.
And you have to think he is far from the best. The very best of those don 't even compete because that is not their goal.
How many Shaolin monks have fought? Why should we expect this?
@@The_Great_Beyond "The very best of those don 't even compete because that is not their goal."
Then how would you know they're good? You just admitted you've never seen their skill tested.
@@gxtmfa It's pretty unclear on the world stage due to the lack of monks participating in these types of matches, but a fair amount of Shaolin monks are trained since they were children, and it's not like a 1-hour after school program. From my understanding, that's their whole way of life. Training, meditating, Buddha scriptures, and stuff like that. Regardless of whether they're great fighters or not, you gotta be a competent fighter if you've trained for that long (similar to Muay Thai fighters). I'm not sure if they do it now, but in the past they used to send scouts to all over the country to pickup kids that can be trained.
@@TheMisterGuy he is average in Shaolin he only trained for 4 years in Shaolin and he entered in Shaolin at age 14 best Shaolin fighter enter at age 5 train for 20 plus years
2:18 that follow up punch after the knock down is maybe the best follow up I've ever seen. I am truly looking forward to seeing more of his fights.
Amazing
This is a PERFECT example of Shaolin Kung Fu in the real world.
I think MMA is fueling a reemergence of Shaolin martial arts. This fits the Shaolin style to a T, where the aim is to be as energy and tempo efficient as possible by using this fluidity and intuition to feel out what your opponent is going to do. That's where the meditation and all the other practices come in. Its also about overcoming those more base instincts to flinch, and rather be in that fluid state of mind such that you can make decisions that would run counter to the flinch instinct, like stepping into a kick to block it and also punch at the same time.
I think what happened is that Shaolin Kung Fu lost a lot of stuff through atrophy. Monks in the old days had to actually fight to survive. Not the case anymore.
MMA is a great opportunity to revive the art in a practiced fashion.
Beautiful.
Only 4 years in Shaolin temple and heâs already very agile. Would love to see Shaolin monk training when theyâre little to fight in mma.
Man that Dae Kwon guy is a beast, taking hits like crazy and still won't go down.
Respect to that guy for lasting those 10 seconds...felt like eternity
The training philosophy of Shaolin is pretty brutal. I can see someone with that mindset picking up a different skillset nd making it work.
A good and skillfull fighter
May you success at your tournament always
Damn de speed and acuracy on this guys kicks
