Oh yes! Drums are so on point it's hilarious ahah. Lars loved those kind of fills in the justice era. And guitar harmonies are another trademark of the album. I loved the "Eye of the Beholder" type intro. Of course the bass solo would become a guitar solo!
I think the piont of the video is to show how Jason totally sucked ass and did the band a favor by leaving.. if you didn't notice how there is no bass work in this . Thats why its labeled if orion was on justice .. big dummy

@@pyrerock I've heard this argument so many times. Metallica has confirmed THEMSELVES that even they heard a severe lack of bass on the album when they had a little listening party soon after the release. Most of the low end you hear on the album is from how saturated the mid-scooped guitars are.

@@pyrerock buddy I have $250 bass boosting headphones, and am a bassist who knows how to recognize bass frequencies better than the "average" person, and I can barely hear any audible bass, even with a bass boosting EQ as well. This isn't a meme, its an objective fact that even the band and Jason himself recognize.
Edit** also, you wouldn't want a better stereo, that would just make everything but bass frequencies louder. You should probably be saying get better subs, as they boost the, guess what, sub frequencies🤯

The justice album was the starting point for my love of the drums even though I dont play them, I often find myself beatboxing or mouthing beats over songs, the awrkward swingy bits that intercut the straight bits are my fav to splice in, vinny paul is my next biggest drum inspiration after classic ulrich followed by none other than Lombardo, nothing quite beats the classics
Justice era Lars drumming is iconic as shit. I love how he tries to fit little quadruple kicks and snare rolls into every fill.
I find myself bursting in laughter every now then at how accurately you managed to capture the spirit and sound of the album! It's ridiculous really. You, sir, are an absolute wizard!

Ever since I first heard AJFA, I've always wished somehow that Metallica could've continued in that style. What you've done here, has taken the greatest instrumental from puppets, and added the agro of AJFA into it. For the life of me IDK how you do it, I just LOVE THAT YOU DO IT! Yesssss. AJFA is the high water mark in metal tone. It's perfection.
For a long time that was THE Metallica sound when I thought of Metallica. It was that iconic. I've grown to love each album for its individuality, but when I was like 15 that was the peak of heavy. Still is in some respects.

@@Vivi_9 I really like both the most depending on my mood, if I’m in a manor sipping tea while reading a compilation of Jim Morrison’s poems in front of a fireplace, I’d like Puppets, but when it’s raining outside or I’m in town, because I kinda hate being in town except for the gym, AJFA’s going to be blasting. But puppets has some heavy ass songs too: Leper Messiah, Thingy, Disposable heroes (old song, IMO overshadows the fast ride songs because of the military mass death and dark manipulation themes), Damage inc, hell it’s all awesome but it ventures into the mellow side of things that Justice doesn’t really do except for One. Justice is just non stop rage and grief, I love Hetfield’s laugh in ‘frayed ends of sanity’.
@@brandondickie3456 I just love To Live is to Die and Dyer's Eve, I think they are Metallica's best songs, Blackened is a ridiculous album opener and then Harvester of Sorrow is heavy as balls, so good

funny fact- when I grew up I didn't realise there was no hearable bass on ajfa- didn't have a clue cause of my ignorance. But it was my ultimate inspiraton, so I learned to play bass in that style of rythm. Didn't hurt me at at all. I'm kinda respected learning to play bass after no bass. It's kinda fucked up

I'm sure they've listened to some. I would if I had a famous band/songs and just to see what my fans would do to the songs. I've been here since month 1 (I got into him when his enter sandman on justice just first came out ). He's got more talent than most of us and I'm so happy that he put his talent as this.

When I was young and I first heard And Justice For All, I KNEW it sounded heavier and more "in your face" but it always sounded odd, I couldn't explain it until I got older. Ahhhh the bass is practically gone!
