- Can New Super Mario Bros. Wii be beaten while permanently crouching and without using any power ups? At first glance this may appear impossible, since crouching robs Mario the ability to walk in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. But as it turns out, it’s actually possible to make good progress into the game, thanks to awesome duck hops. In this video we will take a look at whether it is possible to beat New Super Mario Bros. Wii without ever standing up!

The only way to get piranha plant is to pre order the game which is impossible now.
count chaos You simply have to register the game before a certain time, you don't technically have to preorder it. Think about it, it's not like the preorder cartridges are different than the other ones shipped to stores on release day. I'm not sure if you get the code from a non-preordered digital version, though.

How about only being allowed to press buttons if your eyes are closed? So you look at the stage, memorize and predict enemies, close them and go to town.
Any precent run for nsmbw is around 24m. The world record for breath holding is 22m.
Don't tell me that isn't disappointing.
The record for NSMB is about 23m. So with a bit of time off of the speed run and a bit of time on the breath holding it could be possible

Not to like, sink your titanic here but what about the mini mushroom? That is the smallest if you crouch as mini mario
I think the problem is that you can't start the game with a mini mushroom. So it wouldn't be a new clean run that you could do a smallest mario run on. You could always grind them and then come back to the start, but thats a huge amount of work to just start a run and every time you died and ran out of mini mushrooms you would have to grind them and start again.
yes and if crouched you can’t ground pound which is necessary to kill a boss with mini mushrooms
@@landon_meadows Actually I think that if you wall jump, since you go into the normal jump animation, you could ground pound from that.
