Thought I would add some symptoms from my own experience. I have a 2013 Hyundai Coupe. I got an engine code first. I used a code reader which told me that it was the CSPS. I ordered one online much cheaper than the link given here. About 14 bucks. The warning/dash light then went off. The light remained off and I had no other symptoms for 3 weeks. Last night, I went to turn the car over and it started very sluggishly. It was stalling and extremely slow to accelerate. It died twice in traffic and was hard to start. The tachometer no longer functioned. This morning I installed the new one. I turned the car over and the tach worked. I am about to give it a 30 mile test drive and make sure the car is functioning. Thanks guys for posting this video- it made installing this a snap!
I have a 2015 Hyundai accent GLS. I just replaced vvt solenoid, alternator, battery, and changed the oil again. After all of this I have the SAME exact symptoms as your car. I will try this and see if it will help. Is your car running and did it lose all of the symptoms? I'm very curious. If not, what did you do to make it run again? Thanks.

I have the issue right now. Breaks get locked up and immobilize the car.

Nice. I found it easier to remove the sensor with the wire harness attached to it, and using the wire harness to get the plug removed. Then, release the wire harness plug while the sensor is out.
Is the sensor location the same as a 2015 Veloster?

Does this model require any relearn or re-calibration after you replace the sensor? I have a p0340 bank A, I replaced the sensor but I still have the code and some periodic idle issues.

There are 2 of them I need to change the one from bank 1. Is that the one from bank 1 or 2 is that another one right behind it?

@@zmoney2745 bank 1 is the intake which is this one. Bank 2 would be exhaust. I had a engine light for bank 1 changed it and it ran good light never came on again, but I will say I’m going to change the other one because I think that is good to do both together
What is the sensor above the camshaft sensor?
Was I supposed to have the camshaft position sensor programmed once I install it? Because now I have a noticeable jerk in the engine if I try and accelerate rather fast. And the check engine light comes on anf off but goes back off with the jerk.

This is enough to solve the issue of a bad crankshaft sensor ? I thought you’d have to change the entire sensor that is on the other end of this piece???
That's exactly what I'm wondering, it's so much easier to change these sensors than the crank shaft sensor problem is, the symptoms are the same.

Show the error on the scanner before and then replace tha part and show It again. It is nice to it bad and fixed.
The Street Lawyer exactly! I need to make sure my Elantra has that sensor damaged, it does not shows any codes on the scanner but it wont start! Some guy told me it was the “cam sensor” pero he showed me other site of the engine, not that one displayed in the video. Its not the fuel pump.
Do both the intake and exhaust camshaft sensors use the same sensor? Reason I ask is the the parts store only shows one camshaft sensor. It doesn't differentiate between exhaust and intake sensors.
Hey David, I've went to Autozone Parts and say is the same sensor for both intake/exhaust. I'm trying to fix same vehicle model because it only cranks but don't start at all. I'm trying to avoid to buy all 3 sensors that might be one of these 3. 1. crankshaft sensor 2. intake camshaft sensor or 3. camshaft exhaust sensor. I'm trying to find a good video on how to check each sensor and check it with my multi meter.
@@JessYalyson My situation may be different than yours...my car ran fine but check engine light was on & when had tested it gave me a cam sensor fault code. Pulled out the sensor and cleaned it off real good. Popped it back in and good to go, engine light off.
@@dhornb1 ...Well guess what David. I've started working on the vehicle / decided first to change the Crankshaft Sensor and then start it the car. It worked man, the engine started again running normal again. I didn't missed with the camshafts sensors at all. So my problem was the crankshaft sensor. This was for (2015 Hyundai Elantra 1.8 engine.) The sensor cost was $101.00 plus tax at the autoparts.

Is check engine light on? Most likely it’s crankshaft position sensor that needs to be replaced.

Hi, I have a little problem with 2011 elantra. The tachometer/rpm sometimes drops to zero and remains there even when the engine is on. Is there any fix you can recommend?

It’s a transmission sensor I can’t remember which one but I’ve changed it twice. Buy the oem version because the knockoffs die quick!

The problem is the crank shaft position sensor. I had the same issue and just replaced it on my 2012 Hyundai Elantra.
Does this work for a 2019 Elantra ?
The procedure is almost the same, maybe a little bit different locations, even the sensor could be the same, why?
