    In the meantime, we are warming up with these short daily practices. Every day, we focus on one essential element of your gait pattern.
    Today, while walking, pay attention to the step width. Technically, the step width is measured between the center of heel upon the initial contact of the foot with the floor and the midline (direction of walking). An average reported step width is 8-10 cm (about 3-4 inches). Therefore the distance between the centers of heels on the lines parallel to the midline is 6-8 inches.
    Today's practice includes observing your spontaneous, habitual distance, making it wider and more narrow. Please spend a few minutes experiencing each variation fully. Most importantly, make the practice safe to limit any risk of falling.
