Chilling Injuries Caused By... Cats? - Up To $240,000 Cases | Double Episode | Personal Injury Court
/ @personalinjurycourt
My cat was in a tree. I called the fire department. They refused to come out. Their response was that you never find a dead cat in a tree. If cat climbs the tree, the cat would be able to get down by themselves.
You never find a dead cat in a tree because they fall when they die.
They're Supposed To Come Out Really People Get Real Get Your Life Together
Cats will climb down. They can climb down backwards or forwards. Seen them do both.
That correct tho
They can also just jump down lol.
He messed himself up by admitting he started trying 2 break the branch😮
With the 2nd case of the mom entering the apartment. I have a huge issue with 1 thing. I don't care about someone coming into your home to drop something off in the kitchen, but if you see the bedroom door closed - don't go in the bedroom! Bedroom's are private. So unless you have permission first to go in there prior to that particular moment, like for example "oh could you go in my bedroom to grab my medicine or my sweater off my bed?" You know something like that. Then you can enter the bedroom. Otherwise - NO! It irritates me when people walk into other peoples rooms unannounced.
She made mistake when she said she went to get more treats then denied throwing them 😂
The lady that was attacked by the cat has a great voice. She sounds like a cartoon.
especially when she gets heated!
🤣🤣🤣
Uhhhh... cartoons are voiced by people. :D i get what you mean though, if cartoon characters had their own voice, she would TOTALLY sound like one.
Because shes an actor... They all are. This show is all fake
I don't know about the U.S.A. but over here in Scotland if a branch is overhanging on your property then you are allowed to cut it of without to permission of you neighbour
I would never sue my child 🤦
She filed the lawsuit as a landlord because her daughter violated her lease.
You only have one mother, the judge is right " some people wish that their mother would call."
While others wish their mother would give them some space and not enter their bedroom without permission, you are a mom but your daughter is paying rent, so why can't she respect her daughters privacy
being a mother should not mean you automatically get respect
This Judge is great to watch. Kudos
Hes not a judge hes an actor. Come on you dont really think this show is real do you?
First case sounds like his fault for trying to break branches. Second case mother aka landlord should had never entered without renters/daughters permission. Had she wanted to leave her fruit it could had been placed in a bag on the handle. Just like I will not walk into my child's home or her into mine without them knowing first as a respect for each other
the ladies voice is just so calm , its been a while I hear someone that so calm
News Flash, if a cat can get up a tree, eventually it will figure out a way down. They need time, not rescuing. 1) If you move Into a home that has a pool you take on the responsibility for cleaning it. 🤨The mother has these horrific raw looking scratches, please explain the reason there are no surgical dressings over them?? The point is, her bedroom door was closed and MOM went into the serval's territory that was closed off and mom went where she had no business going in. Tendonitis is an inflammation of the tendons usually by over use. Tendon synovitis is a totally different injury.
Okay I have 8 cats and I know all mine as well. One evening one of the kittens got stuck up in a tree and wasn’t able to climb down and I tried to get her out myself but wasn’t able a stranger walking past my home came over and climbed up the tree and helped me get her out I thanked him and gave him a little money. I hole time he was climbing up it I was hoping he didn’t fall I rent my homes and there was no way I could pay if he had gotten hurt.
Bet your neighbors hate you
In the first case I think she should have been reasonable and get that branch trimmed off the tree. It was over on his property and he didn’t want it there.
But about the case, he shouldn’t have been trying to remove the branch. Just get the cat down. I don’t think she should have been throwing treats at the cat either while he’s in the tree. Either he gets the cat or her. She said she knows her cats better than she shouldn’t have even asked him for help do it yourself lady.
She just seems unreasonable about the branch and then expecting others to help her, but does she help in return or at least appreciate it?
If it matters I’m almost mid age disabled white woman.
Im just angry seeing a young man work hard and get a home now he may have limitations or disabilities with chronic pain. I know what that’s like. It can ruin your life.
If the branch was such an issue he had the right to cut what was hanging over his property line and that is what he should have done. He is a victim of his own making.
@@karenrhodes9973 agree
So true
in first case he should have at least had his medical bills paid. After all he was there to help her.I get 50/50 so no pain and suffering but come on judge you missed it on this one.
No he lost that when he admitted that he was breaking her property and scared the cat that causes his injury, even if she’s 100% wrong and should remove that branch, he didn’t have the permission or right to do that, THAT is the reason he fell
Yes, I just don’t understand this judge his personality and character is very strange towards some race of people
he may have been there to help her, but she didn't cause the injury. Ya know, if this were any bit real.
@@cynthiamoore8022 he's not a judge, he's an actor. They have scriptwriters who take bizarre scenarios and pretend to have a lawsuit over it. Some ARe based on real lawsuits, but most of them are not which you can tell with the acting of the judge also not knowing the laws he's citing. Or when they have the guy at the end who says why someone legally won/lost a case who do not know what they're actually talking about.
On TV before the show comes on you see a disclaimer that these aren't real. They're all actors. Even the 'judge'. This is basically court room soap opera.
The Taylor v Taylor verdict I 100% agree. Yes, the daughter had a serval, but it was in the bedroom of the apartment. The mother trespassed and breached her side of the contract. The serval didn't really play a factor in this at all. Now if the mother actually had the daughter do a weight check on the serval prior to signing, or if the serval was in the living room, then maybe the serval could've played another factor. But it also might not be a factor again, as adult servals can weigh 20lbs. - 40lbs. If the serval was in the 20 - 30 weight ratio, then it's no harm no foul because it still follows the rules of the contract.
Best video in the whole entire YouTubing history
80k in medical bills.. those are the criminals right there your honor!
The situation with the mom and daughter was very obvious, if the mom is going to treat her daughter like an adult and make her pay rent and give her a lease then she needs to respect her as an adult and give her the 24 hours notice before coming into her private area just like the lease requires
Even if the pet was over 30 lb and she technically broke her lease that still doesn't mean that she gives up her rights to privacy and the lease isn't just instantly dissolved when the tenant violates a rule of the lease it still has to go through a process to be dissolved so the privacy rights of the tenant still stand at the point in time when the mother landlord violated the lease from her end by entering the premises
Mum wanted to have a nose around. The daughter shouldn't have had the cat. She knew what her mother was like and decided to put up with her for the sake of cheap rent. This shouldn't have come to court. Doesn't she have insurance for this animal?
@@maryholden3136 a serval is a WILD ANIMAL. Like monkeys, MANY insurance companies will not cover a 🏡 with them. Also, in many states it's illegal to have a wild animal for a pet.
@@Catlover2016 thank you. I didn't realize it was so complicated. I had a cat for 17 years that was a cuddly, calm affectionate member of the family. Except when with minimal warning a couple of times of year, Jerry would suddenly show he shared 95% of his DNA with tigers and be ferocious in tooth and claw for a few minutes. Then, while you were still shocked and bleeding, he'd suddenly be cuddly cat again purring around your ankles. And he was just an ordinary moggy...... not some wild or special breed
@@maryholden3136 for more insight into wild animals are terrible pets, Google why monkeys make lousy pets, In Their Own Words former monkey 🐒 owners, and My Child is a Monkey. All of this applies to wild cats too. Some breeds of dogs will not be insured by carriers, including wolf hybrids.
Handsome, well spoken, successful young black man tried to help this elderly cat woman and got hurt. Just off of principal and neighborly kindness she should have some compassion and try to help him
she should have but he kinda cause it on himself when he started doing something else than what was suppose to do on the ladder.
@@DhaakiraStreaming True 😆 he was trying to get the cat down and break the branches
@@VirgoCali89 lol. That Branch cost him a big pay cheque lol
Sometimes saying no is a better option
Yeah for real
You had no business entering the apartment. It was actually not legal 4 you to enter without notice or permission since she is renting you have to give notice and a reason for entering.
She entered as a mother not landlord. No landlord brings your fruits and gifts for your pet.
Are these cases real? With actors. Unbelievable 😂
Her mom was just being nosey . My mom comes over and drops things off she never snopes in my house. I'm glad I don't rent from family
I can't believe he admited to try to break the branch, if not for that he would have won
First lady is ungrateful just using him when she felt like it
Mom should have NOT gone into the bedroom.
Ending part was emotional
It wanted to climb. Just leave it 😂
5:17 that delivery was spot on 😂😂😂
Wow I would of called the fire department I bet they deal with these situations from time to time
She should never have went into the apartment without notice.
I was almost believing the expert was a doctor until he said chiropractor...
oof, first mistake. Believing anything on this show is real :p
@@dragames If that's your takeaway, you missed the joke...
@@cchavezjr7 I understood the joke
Second case the daughter knew what cat she was getting so for her to say it got bigger than expected is bs if your lease says u can't have a pet bigger than 50lb don't go out and get a German shepherd puppy she knew what she was doing but because it was her mom she figured she could get away with it
Surprised he actually ruled right on that last one. These shows almost never rule in the correct favor haha
An Oscar goes to the Cat lady
That animal expert is useless. She should have stressed about how territorial they are the mistake is on the mother. The cat is seeing the mother as an intruder
Regarding the last case, pitbull of a mother vs. daughter. If a remake of the "Honeymooners" was to be made, the mother could very easily play Ralph Kramden's mother.
Clearly she didn't think much of her daughter's boyfriend when she said with a sneer that he's a mechanic
What a mouth!
I hope the daughter has moved far away from that overbearing toxic woman.
Too bad about her injuries, but she had no business opening up the bedroom door. What an intrusive overbearing snoop!
He's wearing what us paramedics call a policy collar. Lol
cats always come down on their own, no need to panic
I don't know about their house insurance. But I know for a fact my house insurance would not sanction that animal in it. Normally they charge extra so they can carry more coverage for a dangerous animal. And that is a dangerous animal that is why most states do not allow them. They are known to attack .
Life is not like a movie dont be a hero be a spectator mind tour own business you will be fine.
I actually feel like the lady with the cat was in the right. He admitted to putting himself in danger by shaking the tree, and I was hoping she wouldn't have to pay anything, despite her saying his was a fake injury. (And yes ik these are actors.)
when cat in the tree leave them there
Second case!! The Mom had NO BUSINESS in her daughter's bedroom!! Shs claims she came to drop off some fruits, okay so drop them on the counter and go!! Why did she go in her room anyway??!!! Cat or no cat!! I can definitely see the Mom is entirely overbearing!!!
Omg....I can't believe the defendant in the first case won!!!! Bullsh.t
I can 😂
He should of had his safety gear on. If he knew how high the tree was then he should of gotten his equipment. Plus by him shaking that branch it probably scarred the cat and caused him to fall. I'm sorry but he caused that one.
The mother shouldn't be entering any house unannounced with any animals in it period plus as a landlord you should honour your contract
In love this judge ❤.
gotta love crazy cat ladies :)
It's not her apartment because her mom is technically the landlord and owns it
That lady is insaneee
Last business…shame on the mother for suing her own child🤦🏻♀️
I'm happy that the daughter won, hopefully they can mend their relationship and the other thing, the mother should have just left the pears in the apartment and then left. If the mother wanted to see the cat so bad she could have left her daughter a txt or a note saying so instead of opening her daughter's bedroom door.
Right
😉
I had 8 cats, its hard.
Im down to 5 now.
Im looking for new homes for them, i dont want to take them to the pound and risk them being put down or going to a bad home :(
Sammich
Smoke
Shadow
Are the oringal older cats i want to keep and shadows babies are:
Cheese
Cheddar
Chocolate
Nutella
Marshmallow
I found homes for cheese chocalate and nutella and im still looking for a home for cheddar and marshmallow.
I also have a goose named Cinderella, 2 ducks named Candy and Cana and a small dog named Egg and hes best friends with cheddar.
Ok serval cat or not...I hav a normal house cat....I call her my cat dog...come in my house unannounced..and she doesn't see u on daily basis..she will do the same thing cat of all kinds are a predator and very territorial..male or female that's wat cat owner's need to remember...they are not like dogs they keep that predatorial instinct...Api was bottle feed rescued her at 3days old and she is prime example..cuz she's the 1 that will attach u...she has kept those instinct...
To be fair, I agree with the first case. He absolutely did not care about the cat and was trying to break off someone’s property. It should be basic facts to know that cats and dogs will see anything as threat if there is extreme movement. So he should have listened to the cat owner to use a treat. But yes, the owner also is at fault since she wasn’t willing to do anything about her branch. But that doesn’t mean u can just pull off it and say it’s all done!
She did not break her lease. Even a male serval F1 Savannah cat only grows to 25lbs (12kg). And she said she adopted Monty as a kitten so let's be real it probably wasn't even fully grown or anywhere near 30lb
Girl, I have a cat (that I've had since he was 6 weeks old. He was abandoned) and he's just a "common" cat. He weighs 23lbs 😂
Servals also have an average of 26lbs. So technically the daughter is in the right as long as she keeps her serval below 30lbs.
The cat lady looks like Miss hannigan from Annie lol. Was it carol Burnett who played miss hannigan?
people should be made to have a permit for exotic animals and let everyone around know you have one .
No one should have a WILD ANIMAL as a pet.
Cmon on Lady I gotta have my fun.
Regardless of the love a mother has for her children, sometimes its better to let them crawl so they can walk alone. Let them rent from someone else.
He can’t even clean out his own pool, he needs to lose his man card!!!
Animals are beautiful ! But , not confident to be closed to any animal . Love to see them on TV.
Oh no! First time I disagree with you Judge. He fell out the tree helping the lady. She invited him on her property. He have a serious spinal injury for life. He should have won. 😢
Oh no. He was shaking the branch trying to brake it off, scaring the cat who jumped... It was his own fault.
That cat lady was and is very ungrateful 🤨
Very ungrateful. And for him to straight up lose and have no accountability
What right did the Mother have to open the bedroom door? Was she going to leave the pears in the middle of the bed?
How sad!! Mother and daughter... The mother was just being a mother! Help pay for her expenses even if she came into you're space unannounced. It's you're mother, smh.
Bruh the 2nd one she yelling at her moms all crazy and her mom is allowing this. Moms provided a place for you to stay wanted to give you a gift of food. SHIIII the bailiff would have to held moms back from jumping on me if I ever spoke to her like that.
It’s funny the crowd gasps when he says elderly. Well, she is elderly. Duh. nothing wrong with what he said.
Welcome to u.s 😅
Servals are very territorial and have to be introduced to people they may never like people who they didn't grow up with or aren't around then all the time.
You cant say that about these type of animals because these cats are illegal in some states or require you to have a license to own that's like telling your parents you got a new pet then they come over and get attacked by a tiger......but your honor it's a very territorial animal
This Cat is never supposed to be a house cat or apartment cat!
That is not no normal cat
He can have the limb cut at the property line. The limb is on/over his property.
His wearing a pinK tie 🎀 👔 Lord have Mercy...SMh !
The second case was to me the daughter's fault, she should have told her mom she had a feral cat in the house. Just off of love she should have helped her mom like how her mom gave her the apartment.
Or maybe the mom shouldn't of been snooping. If the mom had not gone were she shouldn't of then she wouldn't of got bitten. She should of stayed out of her daughter's bedroom.
@@kingoffarts8352 Also true but she is her mother we all know how nosey mothers are no matter how old u get. The daughter could have had more sympathy for her mom, what if while the cat was attacking her mother she fell hit her head and died or was badly hospitalized? It's the principal that your mother is hurt so she should have helped her. Many people don't have their mothers
I think they could have handled this better and should have made things more clear to another. The daughter should have been honest about the cat and that it will get bigger. The mom should have respected her daughter’s privacy and get give her the gifts later when she was home. But I still feel the daughter should still feel partly responsible because her cat attacked her mom. At least help her mom out and try to help pay some bills or just get rid of the big cat.
@@VirgoCali89 Law is the law. The mother was a trespasser. She had no right to do what she did. You are talking about feelings..
@@VirgoCali89 : she isn't a mom in this case. She is a landlord with a legal abinding lease.....
The Dr said all cat bites are serious I own a tabby cross Bengal 8yrs old I play rough with him & he has bite me & it don't even hurt or draw marks it's the claws that hurt & draw blood
Daughter should have told mother not to open the door where the serval cat was for it could be dangerous with unknown people
trespassing its revier.
Something fell on my eye 👀
That lady got mad at him for shaking the tree cause leaves were going into his pool and she didn’t want to help him. Why is he such a player? It does cost money for somebody to clean your pool. She knows about cat. Why didn’t she go up in the tree and go get it
lol nasty cat nasty cat .
You have to prove 3 things
That she’s wrong
That her wrong caused your injuries
…what’s the third thing
The first thing is you have to prove you’re injured, 2nd is that the defendant was wrong, 3rd thing is that their wrong caused your injuries
It’s still your responsibility you choosed to help this woman and cat
Play it up mom
Play it up?!? Do you not see her injuries?!?
It’s like a pit bull it’s how you raise it
Is that why it attacked your mom?
She love the cat 😺 than her mom
She shouldn’t have sue her daughter just ask for help
The cases are real but they are actors who have got nothing to do with the cases?
The cat lady is a terrible and ignorant person! She is so selfish and beyond out of space 🙄
This lady is something eles
The way you all believe this is real 😂💀
You were a frantic old lady blowing this out of proportion. Dude stop helping the takers. She a birth taker.
Although Adult Serval Cats are usually around 27 lbs therefore it qualifies as under 30 lbs, It is however illegal to own one in the US. But, as a landlord, she had no right of allowing herself in without the written 24 hr prior notice. Had she given proper notice, she may not have ever been injured so I don't know why she is complaining.
You actually can own a serval in the US, but it's only in some states. Just like owning piranhas, it's allowed in some states.
Cats are unpredictable thats why I never owned one. Can't anyone give me one.
Daughter upset that mother came into apartment. So a mother cannot go into her child"s home? I thought it natural in a
parent - child relationship.
This has got to be one of the FAKEST court shows I have seen!
I know. Terrible actors and great make-up artists.
He only went up there to break that bush and he knows it.
I'm pretty sure cats don't take fall damage. Don't they have their stomachs hit the floor first and use their feet to balance it?
No, cats flip around in midair and land on their feet. Usually, not always.
I believe had the mother known such a cat existed in her daughter’s resident.,she wouldn’t have entered period. Also by checking the bedroom, was a welfare check, innocent.
Don't agree with the verdict on Mom and daughter . They both broke lease so daughter should have had to pay half
Daughters fault , I'm sure the mom didn't know there was a Serval there. This isn't a house cat this is a wild animal. Mom is nosey though, she should have just left the package. Sad this came to court.
Sir, mom never gets hurt if she never violates lease and comes in without permission.....pet or no pet. Why she wanted to go in her adult kid's bedroom I will never know. I never went in mine even if they left a key for me to go in. Like creepy snoop...
The quart room is going crazy. What’s up with these people obsess with cats they are not friendly you better get yourself some real friends.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I might be wrong but do the scratches on the mom not look fake.
Everything on this show is fake. These are reenactments based on actual cases.
