I would first like to say that video is well done and it brings up some good points about visual design and composition that we can all learn from. The thing about this AI made piece is that it just doesn't feel super impressive to me the more you observe it. Sure, it looks great from a distance but when you take a closer look at the detail there's a lot that doesn't make sense about it. The figures can look malformed upon closer inspection and most of the background "objects" break down into just visual noise. Now, I will say my feelings about AI are still pretty strong on the negative side, especially with how it has been implemented. But I think objectively these points still stand. I don't want to sound like I hate it for the sake of hating it but it seems like this picture just got noticed because it just happens to be one of the first of its kind.
In any case, great video and looking forward to the next.

I totally agree. Honestly the ‘tricks’ that are used for these piece are a bit easy and I miss the authenticity. What you say about the characters is true they aren’t really doing anything. The whole scene is quite surreal but it ticks all boxes. I’ll leave it for people themselves to decide what they think about it.
      Thanks for sharing, really appreciated!

Artists, especially concept artists, can also learn from this by using these tricks to do more with less. It’s not necessary to spend all your time being super detailed at close examination, just make it appear as if it is super detailed when viewed farther away or for a short amount of time.

This is ai art now. It’s always learning and in a year or 5 it will blow us away in seconds. That’s what’s scary.

Some people hate AI but i really like a lot of the visuals midjourney spits out. Very unique in a way that i havent seen before. Id love a refined version of the style used for a movie.

It was an art competition, sorry I’m not sure what the terms and conditions were for entering.
I could have done a deeper analysis but my dad happend to drop by accidentally and shared these things. So I thought it would be cool to share with more people.
Are you disappointed about the video?

@@samankucher5117 it was a digital art competition(which means photo manipulation too) and you just need to bring the art there to compete so no time limit I guess you just have to finish the work when the contest begin

Ai art is interesting, I think there is something lacking about it. I think maybe ai will be a better tool if used to aid in animation and maybe ai will be able to produce interesting music on the future but there is still something off about all of it

  • @manonvernon8646

Very bland painting with no character or visual narrative, but it is competent and painterly in a very generic "concept art" way. Its tragic that AI can beat human artists on this alone.

Currently if you are skilled at this and really know what you are doing, other then that not really most of pictures produced by AI doesn't really come with personality of artist sure it can try to make it in some style but it will not catch author persona for me it feels a lot of time just soulless.

this is sad what the hell happened to this channel this used to be about improving yourself, mastering fundamentals and being able to put it into practice so you can express your experience, likes, and imagination like Kim Jung Gi and other artist featured. I get that It's useful "tool" for making a quick buck for clients you really don't care since depending on your skill level and time you have it's like trying to beat Magnus Carlsen, Kasparov, and millions of chess player in that field when you can just claim it's yours, skip the useless hard part, fix hands and profit, unless your brain is also capable of scraping hd images from millions of artist works most we don't even know or care and mass produce "your ideas" in minutes or seconds depending on what spec your brain have. I would still watch this video but I don't want to support or be part of a "tool" that is unregulated and will grow exponentially that collect intellectual property from everybody who use internet without permission and makes aspiring artist depressed and suic*dal. Sorry for long message and thanks Doctor Draw

Ah man I appreciate your comment! I love that you love the content so much that you want more of it. Please don't think this channel is changing in any way. It's not about Ai art. It's about influences used to make this piece, which you can use to grow you artistic skills ;).
After this new videos that aren't about AI, promise! But in the mean time I'm also working on a Domestika course so I need to split my attention.
Again thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I took a completely different message from this video than you did, but that's understandable since "AI art" as it is right now is unethical and artists are rightfully upset. This video was about analyzing what made this particular "AI art" win a competition, not about picking sides. Personally I'm interested in what non-artistic people see in "AI art" while artists can easily tell it was made by a machine. I think this video was very informative and I've even found a few great painters to study from!

i agree .... maybe to him it was about making content after all and what is hot now kim(rip) has passed away so he needs to find something else maybe he thinks Ai is the next wave that he needs to ride to get more views and subs or something .
don't be surprised if he changed the channel name to Dr prompts or something i don't want to give him more ideas lol.
      it's a just maybe.
i hope you understand my English.

true i wish the video was longer and explained who the Ai was competing against like were they new artists or professional artists ... and i to see how how he thought about the work of the actual Artists that lost a painting competition that probably had a time limit.

    • @thedrDraw
      @thedrDraw  Před rokem +2

Heyhey! Thanks for sharing your thoughts all. I’m also interested in what non-artists think about AI.
I’m not focussed on picking waves or anything and I’m not planning on changing my name to dr.prompt haha. I was genuinely interested in AI and that’s why I made the last video. My dad dropped by while I was working on the video and he saw the painting and instantly named all those artist I was like whuuuut. So I quickly made a second video. This one wasn’t planned but happend in the moment.
New videos are in the pipe-line and these will be more up my ally. That said I want to analyse more artworks with my dad, so if you have any ideas just let me know.
I genuinely do my best to develop content that’s interesting and helpfull for you guys. The easiest way to do that is for you to share you mind. ✌️
