- Recently, I was out of town and visited a large museum to study art. While there, I realized that I rarely see content on doing art studies in person. Most videos I see talk about doing studies from images online, even though in-person study has many unique benefits that translate to all art forms. Whether you do digital art, sculpture, or painting, in-person study is helpful, and this video is an in-depth guide on how to do it!
I hope you enjoy. Sorry this one took so long! I've never done a talking head type art video before, so the editing took much longer than usual. I hope it was worth the wait!

I love doing stuff like this! Will also add that depending on the museum, you can also try to ask for a portable stool or chair or bring your own if it's small enough. You may have to explain it at security but like they're usually chill when they understand that This Is A Chair. Another thing I've seen around are some people who oil paint master studies of things and just leave their easel at the museum, not sure how they got permission for that. Also -- if you wanna art study but you get hungy then often the cafe area also has some nice art or outdoor nature stuff to study.
(Also btw the National Gallery of Art in DC has COUCHES in areas like the 1700s Italian art section and more)

Ok, the start of the video is my exact thought process on going to art museums, and then you said the magical phrase ADHD, and then you had my attention. knowing that someone deals with some of the same issues that I do, and might have an answer on how to work with it.
Also not looking forward to the social people, do you think I can ask the museum to not let people in?
If only... Honestly, my dream day is to be entirely alone in a museum. Just vibing. That said, if your schedule allows, museums are usually pretty quiet on weekday mornings. Just avoid high-traffic areas. :)
