Your art studies aren't helping you learn - Improve quickly with these tips instead!
Recently, I was out of town and visited a large museum to study art. While there, I realized that I rarely see content on doing art studies in person. Most videos I see talk about doing studies from images online, even though in-person study has many unique benefits that translate to all art forms. Whether you do digital art, sculpture, or painting, in-person study is helpful, and this video is an in-depth guide on how to do it!

Ok, the start of the video is my exact thought process on going to art museums, and then you said the magical phrase ADHD, and then you had my attention. knowing that someone deals with some of the same issues that I do, and might have an answer on how to work with it. Also not looking forward to the social people, do you think I can ask the museum to not let people in?
If only... Honestly, my dream day is to be entirely alone in a museum. Just vibing. That said, if your schedule allows, museums are usually pretty quiet on weekday mornings. Just avoid high-traffic areas. :) I'm stoked I could be helpful! Finding art instruction that works with our brains can be hard, so I want to make videos that help fill that niche.

I love doing stuff like this! Will also add that depending on the museum, you can also try to ask for a portable stool or chair or bring your own if it's small enough. You may have to explain it at security but like they're usually chill when they understand that This Is A Chair. Another thing I've seen around are some people who oil paint master studies of things and just leave their easel at the museum, not sure how they got permission for that. Also -- if you wanna art study but you get hungy then often the cafe area also has some nice art or outdoor nature stuff to study. (Also btw the National Gallery of Art in DC has COUCHES in areas like the 1700s Italian art section and more)

All these are really helpful, I had some of these already integrated into my process, but seeing it all your process in one go showed me how more efficient I could be and how many more steps I could take to stop me from getting distracted. Great work!

I like the items you drew - the Clawed hand was especially cool. It was a little weird trying to watch three drawing timelapses at the same time. But also fun to see the process on all of them. What a nice, clear and concise dive into how to make a process work for you. I don't use procreate, but a lot of the tips here are pretty universal. Especially that part about getting all the bit's and pieces into one place so you don't get distracted when you have to go hunting for them. Good stuff!
