There were street parties in Stockport when Chris Little was killed, that's the kind of grip he had on the town at the time.

I knew Chris Little from Offerton Boxing Club in the mid 1980's. I would often spar with him (stupidly) He had a formidable punch and turned Professional in the late 1980's with a fairly unremarkable score card. He did run the doors at the Banford Arms on the A6 Stockport and later the Fir Tree pub in Reddish. His reputation for violence was well earned. Back then he seamed like a pretty normal yet scary guy and would help out training some of the younger guys like me in the gym. He wasn't a particularly tall guy but was powerfully built. Suspect he hit heavy weights and steroids regularly. Last saw him in 1985 when I moved down south and was quite shocked, but not surprised to hear of his criminal career. But in the end, sadly he died the way he lived.

I was in the pub he was outside that night. The pub was called the jolly sailer. When he crashed in to the bowling green pub that night, somebody else was in car who ran away.

I don't know what the issue is I don't know whether it's the CZcams algorithms have it out for you but you should have way more views and subs. I just don't get it. Are you telling all your friends and family and asking them to share these videos? I feel so bad for you cuz you're doing a good job, picking cases that aren't that common. I've never heard of any of the ones you've covered and I do true crime. Would you like me to share your videos? If so do you have a particular one?

I heard he used to go off roading in a transit van with broken bottles in the back to terrorise his victims, it was only hearsay though.

I always found him to be okay, we'd often let on while he was walking his dogs in Woodbank Park, I know he had a fearsome reputation but I wasn't in that world of drugs etc. so I had no reason to steer clear of him, he was always polite to me and my wife.

There is so little information available about this case online. How many people stood trial? Who were they? What was their motive according to the prosecution?

3 people. Arran Coghlan, Graham Mansell, Peter Shurety. Motive: Drugs territory and possible revenge for an altercation in a night club.

      @@jamessirius2384 That's interesting. I don't think I've heard those other names before.
I saw that video of Chris Little battering a guy years ago . He was definitely a character to say the least.
I grew up in Reddish and would hear stories about him as a kid.
Graham Mansell and Peter Shurety have done better at staying off the radar of the average person than Little or Coghlan.

@@jamessirius2384 Cheers for that. Another interesting case was the one about Paul Riley. Shot dead in his home. Murdered by the Synotts from Adswood?
Some say that Coghlan controlled the whole of Stockport around this time but these guys seemed to have their own fairly substantial drugs businesses as well.

You mean "Teflon Don" Aaran Coghlan? I always find it funny how people conveniently fail to remember his name when something happens and he could be connected. Still remember the night he was stabbed in Cobdens I was in the bar when all hell broke loose and next thing you knew blood everywhere an police. Literally went from having a laugh with my mates to just a full on brawl between 2 groups of people and we couldn't get out fast enough as it was happening, crazy situation to be stuck in. An weirdly enough it then turned out I was good friends with a girl who went out with Chris Little when she was younger.
