Very strange and murky case

Why did the police allow the sisters too continue living on that estate when it was obvious the people after them knew exactly where they lived. this sounds like a case off gross incompetents regarding the police or something more sinister was allowed too happen who knows 🤔 but I know that if anybody is under police protection at a safe house and that address is compromised there removed immediately so somethings not Adding up.
