LS Swapped S197 Mustang PT.4 | TRANSMISSION CROSSMEMBER & MODIFYING THE CD009 SHIFTER LOCATION

The LS swapped s197 mustang project is well underway. The goal for this project is to do this swap for cheaper than buying a 4.6 mustang of the same year, and to finish the swap in about two months. The LS swap was done using factory ford 4.6 motor mounts, and ls swap plates for pre-2005. Im using a 5.3 iron block LS mated to a cd009 manual transmission from a Nissan 350z using a Collins Adapter.

What did you do for the high pressure side of the power steering pump?

I cut off the both the metal high pressure Hoses, left the Ford side on the car, the chevy side on the pump, flared the ends of them and used flare fittings to connect them. Similar to the way you would flare brake Hoses. I have read online that you should install a pressure regulator for the pump pressure to be correct for the steering rack but I have not had issues so far. Time will tell....
