Did the updates make 2020 Nissan Titan a BETTER truck?

- The Titan receives a refresh for 2020 by Nissan. Under the hood is the 5.6L V8 pumping out 400HP & mated to an ALL NEW 9-speed automatic transmission. On the outside there is a refreshed grill, wheels, and trims. On the inside you will find an all new 9in infotainment system, seating and storage areas. Are the updated 2020 Nissan Titan trucks any GOOD?

Definitely a natural aspirated V8 is a selling point for some people like myself.
Why? I don't know what's so special about it.
@@wingnutmcspazatron3957 Turbo can overheat when using a vehicle like this, especially if you're towing
@@tay9931 You might want to research stuff , before making innacurate statements. The only advantage the V8 offers is sound. Fords 2.7, 3.5 has considerably more low end torque , better mileage , better transmission. Diesels , aircraft , ships , all use turbos. If they were overheating, do you think they would be used in commercial use ? Nope. A turbo simply uses free flowing exhaust to drive a turbine.

Probably the most underrated full size truck.
Agree!
Facts
Nissan is more famous for their SUVs than anything (Rogue, Murano, Pathfinder, Kicks)
The Titan 5.6 V8 is Legendary. I have a 05' Titan and the V8 is still going strong. No problems as of date. The Titan name was perfect 👌.
The facelift they gave this thing is incredible! Damn good looking truck! In 10-15 years when I can afford these, I’ll buy one in a heartbeat.
Geez 10-15years?
I already bought the Pro4x in Baja Storm with luxury package. I love it a lot 👌💯
Thanks for sharing input from your experience!
It’s actually a really nice clean looking truck, looks more “upscale” then the previous titan models.
I totally agree with you!
You are quickly becoming one of the best car reviewers on CZcams. Love your energy and attention to detail!
Such a nice truck. I just turned 100k on my 2012 last week. As much as I would love to buy this new one, my 2012 is just as smooth and responsive as when I bought it new. Titans in my opinion are the most underrated truck out there and have never gotten a fair shake, but Titan owners know what we have. Save the truck fanboy commentary for the trolls that are waiting to pounce, because these trucks will easily go on for years with ease and honestly, people just like what they like.
I have a '18 SV, the truck is an absolute Beast.
Rides solid, More than enough interior room, and the truck is Very well put-together
The 5.6 engine in the Titan is a stump-puller, and it sounds so nice
You never fail to make a great review im glad you go over literally every vehicle. I can say it’s helped me decide what I need and what I don’t need! Glad I subbed!
Best thing is waking up to a Raiti's Rides video, good morning Joe !
It's really interesting to see even Nissan is deploying performance based V8.
That is really a good news.
Great review buddy 👍. You really know how to make your viewers happy. Simply Superb
Great job Big Joe. Your locations are always on point.
Another great review Joe! FWIW, I have a 2017 Titan XD V8 and it’s been 100% trouble free!
“Side pocket for your emergency twinkies” 😂 LMAO Joe you always get me with them twinkies
So happy for you. Been a subscriber since 50K subs. Really nice review!👍🏻
I do very much enjoy your videos, great job!
Nice truck! The colour is perfect. Love the fact there's only a V-8 Choice
My dream pickup truck! Great review Joe.
That exhaust/ engine note is beautiful. Might consider this. I dont need a diesel right now.
I think the Titan then the Ram make the best sound stock.
@@garys2157 YES I agree! I went to my local Nissan store and boy these Titan SL/ Platinum are simply amazing. Im stuck between a Tundra (great value) or
Titan (smooth ride/better tech)
@@imranzahid3214 The Nissan is more newer, and has updated safety that the Tundra doesn't, Toyota put in things like blind spot and other electronics that will help avoid a accident, but the Nissan's cab will be safer, I think they are both similar in what they are capable of, Toyota might last longer, Nissan might have a better deal at the dealership, weigh what is most important to you.
Great review Joe
I got a '18 Titan and absolutely love it
Btw, Noticed you eased off the throttle at 16:16 when you were coming up on the motorcycle
As a Bike rider, much appreciated!
People drink the Ford, Chevy, and Ram kool aid way too much. So many people want to follow the crowd rather than think for themselves, I guarantee you most people who are buying half tons would have no problems with this truck, the problem is most can’t get over their American bias to consider it. You can get a good deal on price, and the best warranty in the biz!
So true!
If you never driven a TITAN you have no clue what you are missing, go drive one and find out yourself. I have owned 4 TITANS first gen and 2 QX56 I still have 2 TITANS and I am planning to buy a 2020 TITAN XD PRO 4X
I recently subscribed because I love how you’re videos are relatable. For instance, “the emergency twinkies”. Classic Joe🤣 Keep up the good work!
A B I G Thank You to the Raiti Team for bringing us the best of car and truck info. And we love the 😂 Keep going 💪🏻 Real nice truck I wish Nissan luck
I am so glad that I can bring it to you!
You are the most detailed reviewer I have ever known, outstanding review! I would like to own another Titan someday
Thanks Gerard! That is so very awesome of you to say!
Much improved over the last one, and I agree, if I'm getting a truck I either want a V8 gas or some form of a 6 or 8 cyl turbo diesel. Something with some power.
I totally agree with you!
Put a GTR engine in it
Top of the morning Joe! Perfect timing to watch a new Raitis Rides upload before I go out and check out a used v6 accord today 😎
Finally we got the video im been waiting for Silverado is dead last for sure. Cant get over the design
Dude, you're the best car columnist, like Doug DeMuro, but much better, respect for regular content💪
I picked up a 2020 Platinum Reserve a few months ago. I love this truck. Got an insane deal on it too compared to the 70K I was going to have to pay for a GMC Denali or Ram
What did u pick it up for u if u don’t mind ...u said the others are 70k so I’m assuming u got yours in the high 40’z low 50’z ?
@@Tripp216 I got mine for 51k
@@RobGuthrie damnnnn that’s a steal , I’m bout to drive over to my Nissan dealer lol 😂
I just ordered 2021 Platinum Reserve from Arizona. With shipping to Seattle, I paid $51k. How do you like yours so far?
@@jot5abi I just purchased the 2021 Pro 4X in Baja color luxury package for 51,000 here in Florida. And I love it!!
Finally a 2020 that I actually like the design 😍
Hi Joe I have to say that I love this truck I am a Porter for my job and today I drove the 2021 SL and I loved it so much that I will be buying one soon great truck.
And I thought the GMC Denali had a lot of chrome on the grill. Not a bad truck, especially if you want to be different from the other guys. Thanks for sharing it Joe, well done! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Always a private disclosed location and he every time shows the navigation.
Great review! Nice truck.
Thanks my friend! I am so glad that you like this one.
I really like these trucks, and with this redesign I am happy to hear that all the reliability issues have been ironed out. It’s just to bad they didn’t sell well here in Canada. After this model year Nissan is dropping Titan in Canada. The only truck they will sell up here after 2020 is the Frontier.
Hard to miss it! Let’s see how it stacks up...
So very true!
Truck without V8 is not a real truck 5,6L isn't bad at all good review Joe 👍👍
Wow, they're becoming less of a laughing stock by the truck community!
Toyota also!
_Secret Undisclosed Location_ Joe?
C'mon man, we all know its the parking lot of the twinkie factory in Wesley Chapel.
The chrome looks nice, but it would be nice to see some variation, especially in the front end
Nissan out here kicking it up a notch with this refreshed Titan!!! I love them and think they're underrated!!! The Pro4x looks awesome too when blacked out!!! Great review, Joe!!! Thanks man!!! #RaitisRides #OnThrottle #ToTheDoorPanel #TwinkiesForDays #OnThrottleAgain #CrownVic #OnThrottleAllDayAndAllNight #Zonkmeister #Nissan #Titan
I can't wait to see what they do for a redesign.
I love the way this looks over Ford & Ram & Tundra
Very very nice update!!
I am so glad that you like this one Mia!
Nice truck. Great review 👍
Thanks brother!
I think they look really nice in that orange color, but the red is cool too.
I totally agree with you!
Thanks for a great review (again). I love your energy and your humor. You always make that joke with the Twinkies (are you secretly a Zombieland fan?) For this particular model, it's not even close to what I like or need. Not only it's way out of my budget, but it has a very low miles per gallon rate (15 mpg advertised, who knows in real life?). Definitely a good truck for people who need one. I haven't heard a lot of bad things about it, but again, I'm not in the trucking circle, I suppose they are OK. Just curious to see how it fares against the Cybertruck when it hits the market (next year apparently). Not only more powerful but much cheaper (talking about the dual motor at least, just $49k). Of course, gas cars and trucks still have a lot of fans . For the record, I drive a CR-V (2017) still making payments on it.
Found 2020 platinum models for 49k now along with the pro4x. That’s a steal
You are so very right about that Danny!
Very nice 👌,😃 happy sunday Joe and Lori !! That nissan i think is best than ford and ram .Maybe the tundra would be my second choice .🤔
My Stepdad has a Gray 2016 Titan XD Platinum Reserve Cummins. He bought it used in Feb of 2017. Going on 4 years now. Had 10,000 miles on it. Dealer was asking $43,000. Window sticker showed a MSRP of $63,000ish. Was a big depreciation with only 10,000 miles on it. He is tempted to get the 2020 Platinum, but back and forth on it. He said he rather wait and see if they fully redesign it. He loves his 2016
Thanks for sharing that great input Bobby!
I love my 2011 Nissan Titan. Only “zonk” for me was the lack of rack and pinion steering and the power steering was a little too tight. The turning radius was like a bread truck. Hard to park in tight parking lots.
That engine sounds sweet. I would have that V8 over an Ecoboost engine. Good power and torque without the need for a turbocharger on a smaller engine.
Well another Nissan I can finally like
It’s definitely a nice truck but I’m gonna stick up the top sellers like Dodge,Ford,Chevy just my choice no hate. Appreciate you sharing this Joe.
That one is defenetly my favorite
I look forward to a 2021 review of the new Titan. :)
I can't wait to bring it to you Ronald!
The interior looks much better than chevy and looks just as good as the ford not as the ram but really don't understand why it's not selling look much better than chevy to me
i agree better than the gm / chevy trucks
Thanks Joe.
I hope when Nissan gets back on their feet, we get a performance car with that v8 or at least a performance trim of the Titan
It is nice, I drove and not that different from my 2018 platinum reserve. It is a great truck.
If you were to choose between this and the Ridgeline, which one would you pick?
Whoa!!! The new Titan is very nice!!!! 日本は最高です!!!!
That 5.6 gas DI engine is the best out there
I love the SL and the Pro X😍😍🤤🤤
7:23 my heart stopped for a min 😂💀
joe we need to see a 6x6 review or that werid supercar with 4 wheels in the front and 2 at the back, i think there is one in Clearwater
Amazing how much trucks have become so appealing to people who don't use them as trucks.
I know right!
Interesting upshift when you went wide open throttle at 14:35.
Are any of the trims going to have like the work truck bench seat available?
Nice truck very luxurious 😎👌🏿😎👌🏿
Your food references made me hungry
I am driving 06 Nissan Titan 272k mile. I will be happy if I upgrade for 2022 Nissan Titan in the future.
That is so really cool!
Can you please also start telling us in the new videos the weight of the vehicle and Mpg listed by the manufactures.👍
Wow they just keep coming like hot cakes
Why no rear chrome bumper? With all the chrome up front, it could use a little in the back.
Joe please give us the payload numbers on the specific trucks you review. Otherwise another great review by the review master.
No problem! Thanks for the input!
@@RaitisRides thanks brother!
Titan NEEDS crew-cab 8 ft bed dually option😎
The Titan is a great truck overall
It’s just so many F150 Ram and Chevy loyal buyers who like seeing their truck everywhere lol
Titan falls apart while sitting still, worse truck out there.
@@KVX21 Where’s the proof for your outlandish claims? If you don’t like it that’s fine, but your blanket statement is not based in any kind of reality. As for me I don’t even consider the domestics or Toyota. Don’t get me wrong, all the other trucks are nice vehicles, but it bothers me when people start brand bashing. If you don’t own one or have never driven one then you should keep your stupidity to yourself!
The off road version is 10 times better although this is good enough
The ocean spray guy should’ve gotten this new model vs the last gen Titan
Undisclosed Location? How about on the corner of Countryside Blvd & US Hwy 19N in Clearwater Florida?
Lol this is literally the same color as the Honda C-RV you reviewed yesterday.
So True! Good eyes!
Still need that new Buick Regal GS review 😩
I love the design of the Regal. Wish GM would give it a refresh and keep making it.
Nice solid truck
I had a Nissan frontier it was a great little truck I always wanted to titanbut it was kind of big for me I never did get one.
Thanks for sharing that input based off of your experience!
There are hundreds of auto reviewers and I love me some Joe. My only complaint is the lack of standardization of volume capacities.. softballs? Rubix Cubes? Please stick with the cubes for center console and cheeseburgers for door consoles. Full disclosure- I am an internationally ranked cuber and amateur cheeseburger eater.
NASA called. Your blinding them in space with all that chrome! 😁
Love this truck! what is the exact exterior color of it?
Great question.
Yaaaaassssss Lays Doritos and Cheetos are where it's at!
Can you do a review on the new titan Xd I’m planning on looking at buying one in the next year or two
I will try to track one down for you Kirby!
@@RaitisRides I’m looking at the platinum resrerve or the one just under it

V 8 ,32 valve lots of power
I want that NISSAN😃😍
I am so glad that I can share it with you!
Nissan is more famous for their crossover SUVs and sedans than anything
Nice video
Thanks brother!
Apparently that 9 speed is the Mercedes 9tronic trans, I can't seem to find any documentation on it though
I am not to sure about that James.
@@RaitisRides I'm not either, like said I've seen it stated several times by different people who don't know eachother, but I can't find any documentation on it, which is really weird. Usually a quick google search will tell you who makes the trans for X vehicle.
The extra 10 hp only comes when using 93 octane fuel
Nissan used to be one of the best car back in the day beautiful cars not anymore all of them have transmission problems personally I changed my second second transmission on my Altima
Nissan does sell a lot of SUVs though
Wait Joe has the type RA on his Home Screen on his phone and not the gt350r....
Still love my Subie!
Nice Nissan. Thank you sir.
