Thank you very much for this class!! It helps a lot! Just one thing, at 1:18:56 you can see the direction of the shadow of the posts and it is a little bit different from the shadow created in the text.
Don't pause it! Comes to what I said about pixel peeping, in motion it works out, paused you see the shadow bleeding in front of the text, the shadow direction is wrong, my life is a lie, etc. 😂! Another pro observation that I didn't notice until I started edited this video. At 1:23:49, the shadow of the S is on the wall, but the reflection of the wall has no shadow 😅. Can probably make a video series on fixing all my past 3D text-including shots 😩...

Hooray shameless links! Glad it'll help you though, let me know how you get on. Funny thing is, this method I use only does flat text, but there's a Cinema4D renderer in After Effects which allows you to extrude text to be 3D, though getting motion blur in there is a bit of a hack, and then you need to deal with actual lighting, shadows, reflections, etc. Might be a topic for a future video, but gonna' take a rest from editing-related stuff for a bit.
