a 3d camera zoom transition. I WOULD DIE FOR THAT TUTORIAL
Thanks dude, you mastered the art of teaching while not making it look boring
It says I need the full version to get Camera Tracker, is this normal??
cause thats the paid version, you can use planar tracker in fusion (its free) there is different tutorials for that
Haven't watched you for a while. You've really improved the quality of your vids. Great job!
Even hovering over the Fusion tab gave me the willies. But I knew I needed to finally start learning it in Davinci. Thank you!
You are one of the most expertise CZcamsrs out there in Fusion. Keep going!
Billy i love your content, you describe things the way i would describe something. I like how you were explaining the complex steps and checking different boxes, basically you said trust me, i dont know what it means, but if you do this, this will happen. And my struggle right now is everything, not being talented at all lol. But maybe one day something will click.
I always come to Billy for all of my Davinci tips and tricks! 🔥
Nice Job, Billy. I learned a few things...you're saving me time and I appreciate that.
My biggest struggle is just not knowing what is even possible sometimes. Like right now im editing a video with 4 cameras the hard way because i didnt know multicam was even a thing with davinci.
"all roads lead to Rome" - there is not that only specific way! Sometimes you must do the hard way to find the easy on. Don*t give up - just keep on working .)
How did you ever learn so much about fusion... You're so young🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Well i run a video production business and have been pretty much obsessed with learning how to make good videos and use effects to help. So I just try things until it works 😂😂
@@BillyRybka Billy please make a vid about making memes like the big brain effect and the effect that make strange thing to the face in davinci
I love watching your videos, your energy is contagious. Keep up the good work, this video was a little bit higher grade work as I don't understand most of the functions, but at least I can follow like a dummy. Go Billy Go !
My struggle: actually shooting footage. I spend far too much time on playing around in fusion :-)
I spend too little time on fusion cause it makes me paranoid. It’s a good thing I don’t really need it unless I wanna do something fancy
The two hardest things to do is not rambling on and repeating myself and I have to clean it all up and chop it all down in editing. The other is getting adventurous with editing, I am new and trying to add a little more here and there but since I don't know much about the ins and out of shortcuts and what does what it prevents me from trying new things. I just want to get it edited and uploaded usually. Your tips and tricks' have helped out a lot and has made the video editing easier and less daunting.
thanks billy, excited for this tutorial!
It looks like a super cool effect that I'm going to have to try out
Another Killer tutorial! Thankyou so much Billy! 🥰👍🙏😀🔥
Hi Billy! Thanks for sharing this. It is a different kind of tutorial that I am used to see. You are really into details.
Thank you Billy, i am working on tracking the call outs
I have to use planar tracker, but that's fine, i learned something usefull again. Ty
I think this has probably been one of your best tutorials yet. 😎👍
Another great one, thanks Billy, keep'em comin'. Would be nice to see something on 3D/chroma keying and green screen worklflow.
HES BACK WITH A BANGER IM SUBBING
great video and quite entertaining! i struggle remembering hot keys. lol. and of course getting carried away with the story in my head and not writing the organization of the content down. I guess I like the fun of making it up as I go and letting my mind go wild.
Billy "DaVinci" Rybka is the best!! 💪
Suggestion video: *adding straight text in 360 video*
I'd love to see that Billy. Thanks again. 🍀
The toughest thing for me is also scripting. I can go off on tangents too, and it's a real PITA finding that balance between give people enough information without getting too granular or going overboard.
Amazed at just how far editing programs have evolved in the last ten years! I stopped doing video work almost 9 years ago, and I remember trying to use the low end version of Vegas, that didn't have tracking, to try and fake the final with this type of text effect. I would move frame to frame, eyeballing slight camera movements, then nudging the text on the X, y, and z axises, all in a futile attempt to get this cool effect in the cheapo version of Vegas. I came close several times, but it was always 'off' just enough to kill the effect.
Great job here. I'm saving this one for sure.
Yes another great one billy! I loved it! WILK definitely try this in my next yt vid!
My biggest struggle, i dont have davinci resolve studio🤣
@@entahlahnak9404 why not? DR17 is way more affordable than a new PC and i consider buying the studio version for hobby purposes as soon as i have a computer to work with more efficiently. i do not want to make any advertising, but you will not get a better editing program for that money, or does someone have another opinion?
@@rano12321 No, Nuke is not more popular. Fusion Studio is both more widely used and has a richer feature set.
Very very helpful! If only all davinci tutorials were as well taught as this one! 👏🏻
I sometimes use text with stroke in my videos and was wondering if it is possible to add stroke or an outline to other shapes, like arrows or any other png...
Really appreciate your videos. They are very helpful!
I was wondering the same thing and found the answer! Use the "Image plane 3D" next to the "Text 3D" instead of the Text3D. Attach your PNG to that node and BOOM!

Awesome video Billy! Thank you 👍😀
Love the vid! all of your content is super helpful
Hey @Billy Rybka, thanks for the Awesome tutorial, how would I go about using 12-14 photos in random areas instead of text? Thanks for the tutorial and the help, it is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks! Got it working well. I left the settings as default, which seemed to work better than tweaking them. Resolve 19
Thank you you just made me become a pro editor without taking any class and just watching you
Pretty amazing. You can also use a projection to track your mask. For more complex shot and you should also do a tutorial how to place a objet using the point cloud so it track perfectly if you haven't done already. Great tutorial keep it up
Thank you Billy! From Patagonia Argentina.
thanks, for tracking operations...I use after effects, there is only one "auto-track" button and you can do everything in a few minutes (two-three easy steps).
This is beast mode! 💪 I struggle with what content to create
Thank you for the great explanation!
best regards from germany
Thanks mate, I will definitly try it.
i like the way you explained it in detailed, I've been watching some of your video about Da Vinci, more power to your Channel thanks
thanks billy! Very good tutorial!
thank you billy for the footage
best tracking tutorial ever from the best Rybka ever !! : THX a lot
Thats the best Video i‘ve seen on youtube für THIS theme!
Thx for this video, you are very help me (sorry for my english)
Hi,
THANK YOU, DZIĘKUJĘ !!!
I'm from Poland and I start my first video with Resolve and your videos help me a lot.
I see you have a Polish surname, that's cool and now I know why you are so good at it ;)
You're doing an amazing job thanks and now I will learn form you how to do good Videos.
This is my First Video if you want to see:
The material was not good but I need to start learning how to do all this cool things :)
THANKS !!!
Very very good explained and so easy! Thank you for your Help. I was finding that since 6 Hours, seems like I found it damnit!
This is so good! Thank you!!
Hi Billy.
Thanks for the great video. I am currently looking to emulate this effect with a couple of additions - and thus I felt there might be a follow up video idea for you.
I am looking to do this effect - in a pan up - and I'm struggling to attach any effects to the Text 3d Node. I was hoping to create a subtle mirror effect in the pan up on my video to somewhat blend into the horizon / blue sky.
Long story short I'm still learning Davinci and don't fully understand the connective tissue into customising an advanced 3d effect like this. Hope that makes sense. Would be happy to provide images etc.
Wow great tutorial 😎😎😎💪💪💪 Greetings from Poland when fish is translated to Rybka 😁
Hey Billy! Thank you for this video. It's wonderful!
I was wondering if there's a way to add 2D text with the camera tracker. I'm using a specific aesthetic for a video that I'm having trouble achieving with the 3D text, and the regular planar tracker isn't doing nearly as good of a job as the camera tracker is.
Also, some of my shots have a lot of camera movement, and I keep getting a notification from the camera tracker that I don't have enough tracks in common between consecutive frames. Is there a way around this, or is the shot un-trackable?
Thanks again!
You are AMAZING thank you!
Great just what I needed... Thank you
Thank you! Worked great!
Hi! Thanks for this video was really helpful, and useful, learned a lot from you already.
My biggest struggle in content creating is, when I make guides or commentary videos, since I'm not a native speaker I find hard, and takes so much time, but on the other had I like making guides, because happy to see the people are interested in it.
My current method to make the video 1st, then summarize in bulletpoints what I want to say, then record my voice to cover the video.
Any advice how could I be better in this, or any other good method?
Thanks the answers in advance!
turns out this feature is only available for the paid version:( man I was looking forward to this one
Thank you bro we appreciate you
LEGEND! THANKS!
amazing! god bless you man:)
Biggest struggle as a content creator? I look at my script/outline way too much and I see it in the end product a lot more than I want to. I tried using my laptop as a teleprompter but I also need it in front of me at the same time so I scrapped the prompter and just glance down. I've been trying to be more general and rehearse a little more and that helped because I can pause and look down, then cut that portion of the video out or cut to something else for a few seconds and mask my glances but I still end up doing it on camera too much.
Your channel and a few others have helped me so much though. I don't do a ton of fancy editing but following along with stuff like this helps me practice my basic skills too and that has helped improve my editing skills very quickly.
Great tutorial thank you
Hi, I was just starting to follow along with you and it told me I can’t do the camera track without buying the full version of DaVinci Resolve, is this true
Super helpful, God Bless you bro
Nice tutorial! thanks.
Hy billy i watch your videos. thank your for your genuine information & my biggest Struggle is same as you i too hate writing its very hard to find right content too
This dude knows how to do CZcams videos salute you mate 😅
Second or third time back to this video. Thanks!
YEAY HE'S DONE IT AGAIN !
Your videos are awesome they help me out with my channel
My creativity has struggled with the lockdowns. Not being able to experience life and people is not conducive to inspiration....at least for me. Most of my videos start getting this subtle moody look that pretty much represents my feelings atm. Would not be a problem if the majority of my clients did not want fun and happy videos. At least I am working (somewhat).
amamazing☆Thank-you from Japan
Hey Billy, learning a lot and appreciate all the time and effort you put into these. For the example you just demonstrated, couldn't you have achieved the same thing by simply using a point tracker and then match moving it to whatever you tracked? There wasn't really a sense of the Z axis in the example (except when you used masking to put the text behind the tower with 2 clips). Just wondering if you would have gotten the same result more quickly with point tracking? It looked sort of the same to me? Thank you once again!
You are really a saint🙏
I like to make montages and one problem I have with davinci is i dont know how to make the 3d text move like it does with after effects, would mean a lot if you could make a vid on that
Thanks Billy.
Awesome job, do you need studio to do this? Sorry if you said that in the video I tend to lose a lot of information after getting distracted😅
First of all, thank you so much for this great video. Meanwhile, I can not help but say how dramatically easier it is to track texts into video with After Effects. My goodness, I honestly try to do it with Davinci for may be like 10-th time or so. But then just like always after failing to achieve the result I need, I export clip into AE, do everything in just seconds, and put the clip back into davinci.
could you please make a tutorial on how to track an objekt, center it and zoom on it? I spend over 3 hours on trying out how it works and searching the internet but i can't find anything. Love ur Videos, keep it on
u r best man....love it
that was cool do you have a video showing the text to one side say sitting on a wall as you fly past it ? thx for sharing
yooooooooo, bruh your amazing like i was just bored watching leanthy tutorials and pissed tbh and i was watching your this tutorial you made me laugh fr. thanks man you got a sub :) 😊😊
Nice tutorial,, thank you for share it,,
Great Tutorial even years later! How would I track and label 2 objects in the same shot? Where would i merge the paths?
thanks for the video!
The unaligned to aligned process means to select points for a 3D text to attach to, but what should I do if there are more than just one 3D text needed to be placed in different points?
You Sir just earned a Sub Thanks!
Hey Billy, my struggle is shooting or finding footage. I find it really hard to think what I want to record so I can edit and play around with it.
Thanks alot man
This video is helpful to see how it's done, but perhaps consider explaining a bit more about what each thing does. I now know how to do it, but by the end I don't know why any of these parameters do what they do.
Thanks for sharing
I hit the like button and hope this comments helps with the ranking as well. Awesome video as always!
You are great tutor, and this is really useful. My only issue is that my ADHD brain cannot remember all the steps. I would love some kind of written step by step tutorial i could use together with this video 😃
nice tutorial, i like it
Good info, but maybe mention somewhere that this requires the non-free Studio version of Resolve. :(
true that,,
The studio version is worth the money.
