Make sure you put a young person's name on the invoice/paperwork. Their lifetime warranty only applies to the original purchaser. So if the purchaser (usually an elderly person) passes away, the warranty is gone and they will not help you if there is an issue. They know that predominately older people are purchasing their tubs, so they can advertise a lifetime warranty without being on the hook for too long. My tub was installed by the previous owner of the house in 2018. It's leaking and they are claiming they didn't even make it.

The virus has postponed my installation! However, I can’t wait to get in and soothe my aches and pains😌

I just had mine installed. I love that it's built in America. A few things though. I wish the seat was lower. So much of my body is out of the water and I'm 5' 2". If the seat was lower, you could also enjoy the back jets without it splashing a huge mess of water everywhere. It take a long time for the bath to fill because the foot well is huge. When my 90 year old mother in-law used the tub, She enjoyed floating in the foot well. But then couldn't get up out of it. I had to get a ladder, climb in the tub and lift her from her arms.

i saw one in a showroom, company had it just to compare it, they didnt even sell them. that says a lot right there. anyways, a drain under the door to catch leaks, omg. a plastic door, egh. a glued on door seal. like the fewest jets of all the tubs this place had. a 1/2" faucet, many had 3/4", fiberglass w gelcoat, brittle&chips. my sales guy had some cahones, started at 33k, we worked down to 23k. i think he wanted to balance my checkbook for me. used car sales, but polished and aggressive. dang. do some more research before you buy one of these. lots of good videos out there, folks.

Hi. The door handle of my walk in tub doesn't work, it is mired, I can't open or close the door. I have been tried to move it but it have been imposible, so, I can't use it. How can I remove or take out the door handle? That piece has lifetime warranty?

    • @safestepwalkintub

My handle is the same, completely frozen. At least the door is closed, so we can still use it by climbing in via a step stool. Ironically, I wouldn't exactly call that a "Safe Step". We're not the original owners so I guess we're SOL for service.

Think twice my mother bought one and the guys that installed it were on drugs I think I was feeling cold air during winter and opened the doors and there was a big hole going to the ground and underneath the tub they threw away all their garbage empty caulking tubes and etc. then they didn’t even paint the wall where they repaired it and the caulking on top by faucets on corner it was sinking in and on floor it was going inward I just took the caulking out to see what prob was ha have to laugh they had glued drywall piece that didn’t go across it all way why it was sinking in and the partgos down to floor same thing didn’t go to floor so it drew inwards and the parts that held these on were fastened with mirror hanger really sick work for something I had to repair and let’s not forget I am 110 lbs and I have a hard time fitting inside it because door opens inward I’m 5 ft and the door just clears my knees and the worst thing that is just the suck factor I hate the most you have to set in the tub naked and wait till tub fills up if it had rapid fill it’s not rapid who likes to set naked and cold esp in winter my mother thought she would fix that she started filling tub and then opened door and the water poured out and she had her right mind and as a matter of fact I found myself wanting to do same thing no place to put your towel so when get done you have to try reach for a towel all while being cold I see they now make a towel holder she paid a lot of money thousands just for a piece of shit that was worth no more than 1,500 at most when you consider the work the did to install it would you pay 10,000 they knew my mother would never open it up and find all there shitty installment shortcuts they had it done in record time prob said they going back to finish next day and took whole day off costing the buyer in the worst ways and would of still if wasn’t for me the cold air coming in from the giant hole in floor was letting cold air in resulting in turning up heat. anytime that is and the hand held shower is a joke more water spray up where the shitty caulking job is and all the other bells and whistles are not worth the price how many older people care if there is a changing colored light and the jets come on let’s face it more money to get from your pockets instead of considering to manufacture a outward open door which they now make but cannot install on one that opens inward so can I tell you not to by no you can figure that out on your own but what I can tell you is what my mother got.

    Bull Shit
I've got a $12,000.00 tub that I can't use because I'm not the original owner and the door leaks like water over a waterfall. I called safe step and they want $400.00 per hour to send someone out. That doesn't include the price of a new door. Anyone who purchases from them is a fool.

there is a check valve at the bottom of the door, make sure this is cleaned and working. My tub was leaking and this was the problem. safe step helped me with this problem ,even though the warranty had expired.
