This little czcams.com/users/postUgkxVoi3B4CB6Oygq1-vo4OTL1M_M5JkrXif tub works perfect in our 6 x 6 shower and is easy to get in and out. Also easy to drain.
Does anybody know what tool you need to take off the door handle of a SafeStep walk in tub? It is the 4th time I have had to replace the door handle because the plastic coating on it has peeled off . The repalce the door handle free of charge but charge to have another one put back on.
Do you have how to instructions on how to actually install the drain. I have pictures of the drain but so far I have to take the drain out of the hole and lay it on the acrylic next to the hole to drain the tub. It just seems wrong.
Great video Jon! I am curious as to how you moved the tub to its installation location and am also curious if the tub can safely be moved on its end, in an upright position, say on a dolly?
Yeah I moved it in on a dolly There's absolutely no reason you couldn't put it in upright position to get it to a position where you are ready to install it
How much does the drain and P-trap add to the height of the step up into the tub? Or are you not flat out saying that this has to go through the floor, making installation on a slab floor impossible?
kat lopez no it's totally possible in a slab floor it just has to be pre plumbed for it there are double 2-inch drains that end up in a P-trap that then go to a drain and if all that's done ahead of time and it all lines up perfectly and you simply make the connections it is perfectly acceptable on a slab floor just takes a little bit of work get out your jackhammer if it's an existing slab but if you haven't poured the slab yet just plumb it to fit and you'll be fine

if you undid the top ring
the bottom will just fall out

Hi Melissa
you're not completely out of luck
but you're pretty close to it
your best bet
is just to go generic
and not name brand
unless you just happen to get lucky
and can find parts for your system
but normally
you have to MacGyver it
and figure out what you have
and enlarge it or reduce it
to whatever you can get to work
it's definitely going to be one of those things
where you use all your handy Acumen
and make it work
as a MacGyver situation
anyway
something like this
go to Amazon
and start scrolling through Part systems and find something that's close to what you're looking for
and make it work
Manifold Hot Tub Spa Part 16 3/4" Outlets with Coupler Kit Video How to a.co/d/1dzJHXt
Well, crap. I’m the jerry-rig queen so, if I can figure out how to get the air jet wall thing that’s broken off of the underside of the tub without breaking the tub wall, I think I can figure it out. Wish me luck and thanks for the quick feedback. Kind regards.
When you're trying to take apart any of those systems
no matter what tub it is
just remember
they put them on as parts
and then connect the hoses to the parts with sealant
so you're just talking about sealant and parts
so you can take it off
the same way they put it on
the only difference is
they have good sealant
and sometimes
two pieces become one
and it's hard to remove
so if you can retain the parts that are glued properly together
and leave those parts
and then just replace the parts
that are broken
you'll be way better off
Think of it like ABS glue on ABS pipes and fittings
even if they weren't perfect
if you put enough ABS glue on the system
they will never ever come apart
it will become one
the same thing applies here
if you find parts that works at all
then just use good sealant
it'll be perfect and work perfect for you
Well, I can probably fix 1 without getting it off the back of the tub but, one is in pieces. Wish I could send a pic.
You can 🥰❤️

Hi brother
I am assuming you are trying to chase down the grounding wire
Because the tub is not running
Had it been running the whole time
You may have dismissed that grounding wire as just a fluke
Or as something for optional equipment that you don't have
But since it's not running
you think it may have something to do with the grounding wire
Because you can't find anything else
It's not the grounding wire
That would be as simple as finding the power in the box ,
that presents power to the tub
Using a wire nut
Put in an additional grounding wire
To that wire
And that would solve that
But it is not going to start your tub
There is something else amiss
Have no idea what it could be
I just gave away one of those tubs for $300
I told them I couldn't figure out why the motor wouldn't start
And if I did figure it out, it would cost $2,000
So they came and got it.... as is
It saved them hundreds of dollars
but I will never know
if they actually started it
It could be windings in a motor
It could be a simple capacitor
Or a blown diode
Nobody knows that crap
Your best bet is just to buy a new motor
Or take that motor off and take it to a motor repair company
Look underneath alternator repair
They do all rewiring for alternators
They can figure out what's wrong with that wiring
The wounding could be short
@@Jonehughes It's brand new under warrenty, and alterations to grounding wire would void warrenty. My customer just spend $5500 so I don't want to void warranty.
Since it is still under warranty
Don't look at it for another minute
It's not your job to make it work
Your job was simply to give it power
The correct power
And if you did that
You leave it in the manufacturers hands
If they won't do anything about it
And you've already contacted them
Then we're back to what I said
And it's up to you
Either of those two things are correct
Either the manufacturer is going to come over and fix this thing on their dime
Or you are going to do what I suggested
There's no reason for you to be figuring out any ground wire
@@Jonehughes I hear that, unfortunately I can't wait around for company to become accountable and responsive. I need to continue with bath remodel and I can't until tub is buttoned up. And I did try ground that loose wire to frame, but it's already grounded elsewhere and did nothing. Fact is the tub ran for at least a minute without issue(with my wiring in house) so definitely a fault at tub side. I can't even access most of tub electrical now that tub is in place.
It is what it is...another day in paradise?;)
What if, I don't have a garage,..? Our house is, quite small, actually,...?
you didn't show how to attach/detach the access panel.
Rene Larson it's magnetic that's why
just simply too simple
we bought a house with one of these and today the switch from faucet to showerhead broke. we don’t have a manual for the tub and weren’t sure how to open the access panels. showing how to do this in your video would have been helpful.
hello folks, any one knows what's the cost of the unitvwirh out installation?

Looking into one of these for my home. Found them to cost $2,500-$4,000 without installation.
