    Outside of some minor form issues given her younger age, she is unbelievably amazing! If she keeps this up, she will be an easy contender for the Olympics next year. No question!

      +pappysprite Alas, she has LOTS of major and minor form issues.

    • @pappysprite
      @pappysprite Před 8 lety

      Maybe. But I'm not focused on that. Historically great gymnasts around her age somehow manage to fine tune their form and peak just in time for an Olympics. This could be her year. You never know.

    wow even with 2 out of bounds she still pulls off a 14.500!

    I don't think I've ever seen anybody nowadays flip that fast gosh it's looks almost impossible how she put two layouts and one twist in that first tumbling pass. With a clear form she's a killer for me.

  • @Vermontist
    @Vermontist Před 8 lety +13

    People don't--probably CANnot--just "clean up their form." If they're not taught good form from the beginning, they're NOT just going to start doing it. That is why ballet dancers start at the beginning and progress only after they master the basics. And they have perfect form.

    Laurie shows that even with a lower start value, a cleaner performance scores higher. Hopefully, by next year she can clean this up and not upgrade so she can score super high!

      +Ilise Angel Totally agree! I think Jazmyn should cut out the FTDLO and just keep her double double since that is cleaner. Mykayla Skinner has proven that if you can't do a crazy difficult skill cleanly, then you shouldn't do it. She even took out her DTDLO of her routine when training for Worlds for that exact reason. I think Jazmyn has definite potential if she cleans up her form.

    @mocneeuq Před 8 lety +16

    I hope she cleans her form. You don't want to be compared with Skinner about having those difficult tumblings but horrible form LOL. Compare her FTDLO to Simone and you'll notice a big difference form wise.

    She's Incredible, she has so muck potential and has both power in her tumbling and artistry!!! Tokyo 2020

    weird thing is she was actually better than Laurie this year. Laurie got tons better between 2015 and 2016

  • @lvega5606
    @lvega5606 Před 9 lety +16

    That tumbling! She's maybe a Simone Biles of the future? I really hope this girl is in the mix for Rio next year.

      +Lisa Vega Shes a mini Mykayla Skinner. And I dont mean that in a bad way. Im just saying her tumbling and form and choreography are similar.

    • @lvega5606
      @lvega5606 Před 9 lety +2

      Oh yeah, she does seem like a little mckayla

    I am impressed by her start value, if she can fix some mistakes here and there, she is going to be amazing !

  • @xxcupcakexlovexx
    @xxcupcakexlovexx Před 9 lety +1

    shouldn't it be .3 instead of .2 of OOB? .1+.2=.3?

    • @adawkins5678
      @adawkins5678 Před 9 lety +1

      Hannah Rubin maybe she only had one foot out of bounds each time? cause isn't it just .1 deduction for one foot out, which would be .1 + .1= .2 . But I could be wrong! it's hard to tell from this angle! :)

    • @jeefand
      @jeefand Před 9 lety +1

      No it definitely should have been .4 because the first was one foot, second was both feet. On live feed it was easily seen, I have no clue why the judges missed it.

    • @xxcupcakexlovexx
      @xxcupcakexlovexx Před 9 lety

      But isn't two feet just .2 and one foot .1? That would be .3.. I'm not one to know all of this so I'm probably wrong.

    • @withlove312
      @withlove312 Před 9 lety

      It's 0.1 for one foot OOB, 0.3 for two feet, and 0.5 for landing OOB.

    • @kameroncoleman9293
      @kameroncoleman9293 Před 6 lety

      Honestly, it should be .5 because she ended after her music.

  • @natashaharris4750
    @natashaharris4750 Před 9 lety +1

    She has simone like power just a notch under. She is going to Rio

    • @skitzo429
      @skitzo429 Před 8 lety +2

      +natasha harris Probably not. On a five girl team she's not really that valuable when there's already three who can easily outscore her on floor (Biles, Raisman, Nichols). She does some big tricks, but the execution is mediocre. Most gymnastics experts believe that if a 2015 junior makes the Rio Olympic team it's probably going to be Laurie Hernandez.

      Wish she hadn’t gotten hurt. She probably actually could’ve challenged Laurie

  • @BarsQUEEN16

    Awesome. Just wish she would clean up her tumbling. The leg seperations on the handsprings really annoy me.

    • @carolineblueskies
      @carolineblueskies Před 9 lety +5

      +Zoe Morrison that's what a start value is. the max score she could receive, based on her difficulty. and jazzy's got a good one!

    • @TheGymSavant
      @TheGymSavant Před 9 lety +1

      kb1025 it's not really a max score, seeing how 6.4 is not at all the highest score she could receive.

      @jojox9791 Před 9 lety +1

      +TheGymSavant it is the highest here for her
