Oil absorption tissues for clients with oily skin.
Good idea🙏🏼
Yes, indeed, especially for men who eschew makeup.
Sounds silly, but a couple of the items I keep in my car at all times bc I primarily shoot outside:
White poster boards from the dollar tree. They make great reflectors, and I not only use them but hand them out to anyone I mentor. I do love my 5 in 1 set too.
Utility wagon (bc I tore a lot of gear)
A solid color throw
$1 cheap white table cloths to use as diffuser, or clients to sit on where there’s wet surfaces
Safety pins
Comb
Hair spray
A small cooler
Non sticky snacks for kids
Pocket knife
Multi tool
And twine. All these have come in handy at one point or another. Also, garbage bags to quickly cover gear if I’m dumb enough to chance shooting in a cloudy day 😂
This isn’t silly at all. Great advice!
Awesome video! Thank you! A rolling utility cart is an extremely handy item to have in the studio!
Usually the studio made ones aren't under $100 😅 saw one the other day from Inovativ that's $2,500+
Thats true. Thank you!
Im still rocking my Rock 'n' Roller czcams.com/video/y2v4Q6Q7q-M/video.html
I need the gray card , the table and the sand bags 😂❤
All good choices =)
stackble magnets, easy/fast way to add gels to metal mods, barndoors, beauty dish, etc, also for keeping things handy around the shoot. Just look for reviews as some are pants and some so strong it would be easier to use other clips/clamps. Atmosphere in a can for small product shots. I love my padded knee protectors, (like skateboarders, bmx riders use) that velcro on and off easily, that enable me to kneel down on hard ground/surfaces for low level shots, (when not using a tripod) cheap but boy do they save the knees ! Sure there's lots more but good to be going on with.
Oh yeah... I keep meaning to try those magnets. Got a link?
Thanks alot for tis sir
Most welcome!
I bought the kupo arm several years ago and I've never used it. Other than to test it out when I first got it. I need to find a reason for it. I use my regual c stand arms mostly for similar things.
Such a good video! :)☺ I had also much profit from 2 clothing racks in my studio.
Thanks! That should have been on the list too. 😁
Great tips.
Thanks! Glad it was helpful!
A-clamps...Home Depot. Seriously, no other equal source. Metal. Eternal. I especially like their tiny .75-inch metal A-clamps for clothing management...only 60 cents.
Yeah those are my favs too🙌🏼
Nice video. I have a table, sleu of grip equipment, gels, apple boxes, reflector, and of course weight bags. The use of Weight bags cannot be stress enough. grip, booms, and modifiers placed above a subject poses a dangerous situation if the load is not properly secured and counterbalanced. What I use that is more expensive than 100$ and found to be sound investments for my photography are chains for weight bags instead of sand, heaters, autopoles, and Milwaukee snap together boxes. I use chains because I operate in areas where sand is prohibited. I use heaters to provide local warming on set. I use autopoles to save space in my studio. The Milwaukee snap together tool boxes hold metal grip that tend to tear through fabric and the boxes really help keep things organized.
Great idea about the chains. I put rocks in mine and now I’m going to have to look in to the boxes too because I don’t think my bins are really working.
I use these boxes for baby and junior gripheads, pins, and other grip. I actually store super clamps on my autopoles and junior stands.
I thought that gaffers tape was for keeping children from running around... ;)
Seriously, which brand of gaffa do people use? I was recommended Progaff, but find that it tends to leave some adhesive behind after you remove it.
I have been buying different brands on Amazon, but I am never sure if I am using the right one. Whatever one I am buying, it works on the kids.
Note to self. When buying a Kupo Offset Arm. Be sure to read the fine print and get the baby instead of the junior. I now have a 60 dollar paperweight 😂
Ha! Use it with your mole 2k!
