This actually masterful. You know exactly what you're doing.
Thank you so much!
Very cool shot! Prime example of hiring a photographer with lots of problems solving experience to get what the client wants!
Thanks Jeffrey!
My inner child has so many comments but I will refrain for the sake of the channel. 😂 Great vid. Appreciate you
Very cool! Great idea! Beautiful final image !
Thank you very much!
Fantastic video and result! That "generative fill" highlight, wow!
Thanks James! It's still shocking to see whats possible with this technology, It kind of makes me want to go back and fix some mistakes in my portfolio.
What a cool concept! #LuvIt❤️
Thanks David! I really appreciate it!
Great teacher. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks and thnks for watching!
Genius light man ! 👏👏
Thanks a lot!
super cool image!! 💙
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Great idea! Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome! If your flash trigger wont do second curtain you could use a speed lite to tigger the photocells on real lights.
Thank you sir for this tutorial 🔥🔥
My pleasure! Thank you Simon!
Very cool 😎- will try some time
Thanks! You should!
Whoa, I’ll say that’s advanced! I really like the shot of Tiger! I guess I’m just a fan of natural light, real world/street/etc. sorts of compositions. This is fascinating, though, and I could see how for an artistic production like modern dance, you could do some really cool things with variations of this idea.
Thanks Bob! I really appreciate it. I really want to try doing that some time.
Yeah Kyle!!!!!
Thanks for sharing the BTS and some of the things you’d do differently. How did you attach the lights to the shaft so that they didn’t come off?
Thank you. Sorry I forgot to mention that they were attached with scotch tape.
Such a cool shot and great tutorial. Thanks. Quick question... What is the red light at the 06:00 mark in the video and is that to provide a little ambient light to focus?
Thanks! The yellow
Light on the top left indicates that that light is in group 2 for Elinchrom’s radio system.
Amazing shot! Would love to give this a go at some point. Can I just ask, what lights did you use to attach to the club? I have some lights but feel they’d be far too big for the club shaft. Many thanks.
Thanks! I linked to them in the secretion.
Great vid, John! Two things, does AF continue tracking the face/eye through the exposure, or does it stop once you hit the shutter? And for the black background, Daniel Norton has recommended using Duvetyne because it basically absorbs light and doesn't reflect/get washed out like black paper or even normal fabric. Best part is that it's $40 for 5 yards on Adorama.
Thanks Wayne. I am not sure if the AF keeps tracking during the exposure, but the head to camera distance doesn't change much during the swing. Shooting at 5.6 will keep it all sharp even if there is a little variance.
@@JohnGress Ok, gotcha. I bought some of the lights through your link, I think I'm going to try it with a gymnast and have them tied to her hair. No idea what that result will look like, lol. Also going to do something similar to what you have here with some softball players with the lights on the bat. Really appreciate you putting this out there!
Oh nice, that sounds great! Have fun!
