  • After over 4 months of my C5 Corvette sitting on my Quickjacks while replacing not only the Harmonic Balancer, but also the entire front subframe, the Corvette is FINALLY RUNNING AGAIN AND BACK ON ITS OWN 4 WHEELS! Tackling this job myself was a HUGE undertaking and quite the challenge, but I am so glad I did it because it was a great learning experience!
A major phase of my build is now finished, but I've already got my list of next things to do! Make sure to Subscribe to stay tuned on all of my future Corvette projects!

A great mid/preventative thing to do if you haven’t is to replace the plastic PS pump pulley with a billet aluminum one from Turn One. They have been known to break under acceleration.

The power steering return lines are a real pain in the rear to reinstall and get tight in the limited space you have to get a wrench on them. Just did a cam swap on my car.

Oh yea I completely agree with you! I learned from when I took the lines off that it was easier to remove the top connection first then the lower one and then vis versa when reinstalling to give you more room for your wrench.
