This is all I know. I went keto last September, full on carnivore in December. 50 lbs fell off. Lots of little chronic conditions disappeared. Plus my anxiety and brain fog vanished. I used to worry about getting enough protein right after my workout and take athletic greens every day, probiotics etc, ; no more. It’s all there already eating meat. I still use stevia in my coffee with heavy whipping cream, and one meal a day. Dinner. I have never felt this great. Ever. That’s all the study I need. The search is over for the perfect diet that doesn’t leave me binging all weekend. I have the holy grail. And I’m keeping it 😎

@@andrijab.pavlovic988 This is normal keto flu symptoms, it will take some time for the body to switch fuels. Make sure you take lots of salt initially and eat until you are comfortably full (A LOT).
Main thing is you have to push through this stage (3 or 4 weeks for most people) but once you do push through you will sure as hell notice it! 😉
Do not give in to the cravings... they WILL come...

@@andrijab.pavlovic988 SLP is right. Sugar is a drug, comparable to street drugs as an addiction as well as something that changes your brain function. Electrolytes every day. LMNT is a good one, or you can google the ingredients and make it daily, dirt cheap. Coming off sugar, or cigarettes for that matter, your brain and gut have to change gears and switch from getting energy from sugar, to getting it from fat (ketones) a short transition period. Oxylate release and dump from built up carb intake is real as well. YOU GOTTA STICK IT OUT. Good news? You will not believe how damn good you feel in 2-3 weeks and will never go back when you get there. It’s literally impossible to feel this good, and consider throwing it away for a (false) sugar high. Don’t give up, we’re all rooting for you!

I ate fish twice a week with other meats and started walking after each meal. My PCP was like wow, what did you do, I've never seen anyone do this especially in only 6 months. A1C down to 5 and off the metformin. I'm 54 and my elderly parents are afraid I'm killing myself. They refuse to try it and say well I am 79 and 76 and I'm gonna enjoy my food till I die. Will Kellogg caused more damage than his brother did, John came up with the cereals but it was his brother Will who created and ran the Kellogg's company. Will worked at John's sanatorium for years and wanted to commercialize the product but John kept refusing. John wanted to keep it specifically for his patients. When the sanatorium burned down, Will gave his brother money to rebuild in exchange for the cereal recipes and the rest is history. Years later John tried to sue Will over this but Will won. Fun fact: C.W. Post was a patient at the sanatorium briefly for stomach problems. He stole their recipes and started a competing company. Post Grape Nuts was his first cereal. Kellogg and Post fought it out for years until Post's stomach issues returned and he offed himself because he thought he was dying of stomach cancer.

All I actually know, for sure, from my experience, is that the carnivore lifestyle, works for me! @@utewbd Of course I don't have a couple decades of carnivore for comparison. You should be able to figure that out from what I wrote. By mostly vegetarian I mean I mostly eat vegetables, legumes etc, whole grains, and fruit. I eat meat and dairy a couple of times a week. I do resistance training 6 days a week (about 45 minutes per session), ride my bike to work and throw in some running when I'm in the mood. This is all pretty normal behavior where I'm from though. Perhaps if I was only eating beef I would be destroying everyone at the gym, getting weekly raises at work, curing all diseases and beating chess masters, but we'll never know because I don't want to eat that way.

The reason carnivore didn’t take is Money, sugar/carb addiction, and population growth. Humanity would be like locusts in a grain field to other animals if we only ate meat, though when we only eat meat we tend to eat less often. We make the mistake in terms of personal survival by eating far too many carbs, which are inflammatory and addictive. Carb addiction may actually be natures way of reducing our lifespan and numbers. I’ve lost 60 lbs on Ketovore over the last 9 months and I’m about to go full carnivore to reach my goal of 190 lbs or less at age 68. Only 22 lbs to go but I will be working out to build more muscle mass.

I want to be able to eat meat, fruits, and greens for thriving, when in season, and for health benefits or medicine. Problem is I was a very low fat, high carb, supposedly healthy processed food along with supposedly healthy vegetable oil and supposedly healthy vegetable oil vegetarian and occasional pescatarian for under 2 decades… wrecked my gut and now after initial success with minor hiccups with dirty and clean keto I now am thriving and feeling great with pure high fat carnivore except for apple cider and virgin coconut oil if I can’t get butter or animal fat. Last I gave up was coffee.
It has been studied that natures predators also benefit from carbs in the form of the partially digested fruits, greens, as well as the gut enzymes and bacteria of their prey. As such if it were not for my compromised metabolic gut health I would add a little fruit and select veggies to my diet. I do occasionally like once or twice a year in just small amounts and it seems ok. As for
Seed oils and processed flavor enhancers and preservatives, if I eat a serving of meat cooked or prepared
With them, I feel the inflammation the next day or 2.😳

    Shortening:
Meat and Plant based Fully Hydrogenated 100% Saturated Fat.
A 100% saturated fat that can be made from seed oils that never goes rancid (trans) because it has no unsaturated bonds.
It was widely available globally until refrigeration and anti meat religious fervor supplanted it with 100% plant based partially hydrogenated seed oils.
I only became aware of it after finding empty vintage cans being sold on eBay and reading their labeling.
It looks like we had, and can still make, the perfect seed oil based fat:

I think most people aren't going to dramatically change their diet without a very compelling reason.
He didn't adopt the Inuit diet until forced to because of lack of supplies even though he had witnessed the apparent good health of these people's before he was suddenly without all his high carb foods.
At that time if you approached a farming family And suggested they only eat meat you probably wouldn't convince them. While they did have meat it was easier to use up those garden veggies to stretch out the meat since much of their meat brought in more money than the veggies. And it was easier to dry/preserve veggies than meat and not as much spoilage. It was easy to store up dried corn, wheat, beans and peppers; pickle up different veggies and save up root crops, onions, potatoes and squashes for 6 months or more to be cooked with a little smoke meat for added flavor.
The majority of cultures around the world are omnivores rather than carnivore. The majority of those trying carnivore today is because of health issues and would never consider it if they were feeling great.

I go to the gym 1-2 times a week and remain active throughout the day because physical activity is medicine for the body. I am 47 years old and I’m telling you it’s like turning back the clock. You will feel and look younger and healthier.
My LDL is 215, my cholesterol is 322, HDL is 100, triglycerides is 58, my blood pressure is 115/72, resting heart rate of 48. My calcium score is 0. My cardiologist says that I am perfectly healthy like a teenager. My cardiologist also tells me that inflammation and oxidative stress causes heart disease by creating damage to the arterial walls. What causes inflammation and oxidative stress?….. seed oils, processed sugars, basically fake foods (I call them Franken-foods).
Just eat real food from nature, and embrace the nutrient dense foods from animals. Be active outside, and get plenty of sleep. Your quality of life now and the future will greatly improve….. be mobile and pain free when your 80,90,100+

Scientists put a lot of faith in epidemiological research (to confirm existing ideas), but almost all of it can be rejected by the simple fact that the studied populations do not include carnivores. A good scientist, on the other hand, tries to falsify existing theories and anecdotal evidence can help with that, so I don't understand where the stigma on anecdotal evidence comes from.

I have NEVER seen such an overwhelmingly positive response as the carnivore diet - i usually avoid meat because it makes me lethargic and sleep too long. But this doesn't always happen with fatty meats. After exploring I can see now that it was the lean meats like Chicken Breast and Ground Beef - that are the reason for this because humans cannot use protein as a fuel and it's a very taxing process. But humans love and need fat - all the information on cholesterol and saturated fat was misleading and carnivores are proving it wrong in droves. Come to think of it over consumption of protein from lean meats can kill over long duration's like the rabbit starvation thing and - amyloid plagues that give people dementia are proteins - and so is gluten hmmm.
