As a Korean ARMY, I would add that In Korea, most of the broadcasting stations and concert venues are concentrated in Seoul, so after leaving Gwangju, the hometown where J-Hope's family lives, they either cannot see their family for a long time or they have to drive a long time to meet them. I didn't have any personal time because I was busy promoting the team and creating content. (Except for RM and Jin, who have their hometowns close to Seoul) The 5 members left their hometown. It must have been difficult and sad to practice dancing. I think they cried a lot because their heart that was holding up for their common dream (to debut and become a singer) burst.

It hit harder when you get to know how the members always held onto Hobi no matter what. Even when some fake "armys" mistreated him or trended the hashtag against him the members always did what they could in power to make sure he feels included. Hobi has talked about wanting to be loved more by fans since he sometimes wouldn't even get any fanmail at all back then. Yet he stays the brightest and is always full of love. Thankfully now millions of us are showering him with waves of love and positivity and everything he deserves. But we can never love him enough he deserves so much more :) Jung Hoseok deserves the whole universe.

when a member cries all the members cry, the first time jk cried everyone cried with him, off topic the members have counted that they only see their family 2-3 times a year
the members are very close to the point of feeling incomplete if a member is missing, injured etc in the time that suga was absent from last year for 3 months the members in each presentation or promotion of the BE album carried a photo of suga with them and in performance always leaving a space in the formation of the choreography and not like another group they never replaced the voice of the missing member, they simply put the recorded part and also spent a lot of money for a hologram of suga that lasted the whole presentation of life goes on , Even once when jk was very exhausted and almost to collapse some members could not concentrate as they were only worried about jk and some cried in the bathroom
I dont know if this sounds weird but i love when hobi cries, he is usually hyped and happy and does not express like "bad" sides, i love seeing him being able to show his happiness and how he is overwhelmed with all the love and appreciation.
Ikr, he also is one of the members who emphasizes on the fact that they need to show the best side to fans, and when we see him being able to show his vulnerable side, it makes me feel a bit better that he can do so freely

He's actually -now- 27 years old. Him and Namjoon were born in 1994. 21 is his Korean age in this video.
If I’m not mistaken, in Korean culture, when you are born you are automatically 1 years old (opposed to other cultures where you are 0). Also, in Korean culture, you don’t go up in age on your actual birthday. You go up in age on the new year (Jan 1st). Therefore, Hobi would have been 20 in Korean age on Dec 31, 2013 and then became 21 on Jan 1, 2014. He did not gain an age on his actual birthday. That would make him 28 in Korean age in 2021. However, in western terms, he is 27 years old. I saw a video that talked about how Taehyung was born in December at 1 years old and then a couple of days later, he turned 2 on the new year. 🤯

At their earlier year. They work and practice 24/7. Their families lived far away from Seoul. The boys can't see their parents that often. They are all sharing JHOPE family moment together. You can see all their personal emotion of missing their families also poured out.

he's 28 right now, he'll be 29 by January 1st. He turned 28 on January 1st 2021 I'm pretty sure (koreans are born one year old, and koreans age together on New Year's, although they only celebrate their birthdays on the respective dates. Hobi and the rest of South Korea turned 1 year older on January 1st 2021, Hobi turned 28, but he's only celebrating it today, on his birthday.)
