One of the worst things about the Nintendo Switch is tring to play first person shooters with joycons: What a joyless experience that is! The CRKD Nitro Deck attempts to improve this experience with these drift-free hall-effect controllers. Is it successful? More or less. Unboxing, how-to's and thoughts in this video!

Been thinking of getting one of these! Thanks for the review!
I purchased the retroflag version when it first came out, I've been very pleased with it.
I just bought one of these haven't even received it yet are you still using yours? Also has there been any firmware updates for it?
No, I have not been using it. I don't play a whole lot of FPS games on Switch so use is limited. Mine was up to date when I got it but I hear there are updates for it.
Where did you get the skull grips
Temu
What FPS game were you playing? Thanks.
Crysis remastered. It runs much better now that they patched it up a bit.
@@Retr0Rob so it’s the first crisis not two or three. Thanks.
@@Bears9McMahon Correct!
I see they finally stopped putting that dreadful sticker on.
I missed a sticker lol? I feel like I did not get the whole experience ...
@@Retr0Rob that disclaimer about needing to change the settings to allow wired controller input. It used to be stuck to the area where you put the switch, it often left substantial residue and bothered a lot of people.
The reviews are so mixed for this one - i wish it was dockable
Yeah: It's a mixed bag for sure.
I wish they would have a limited retro release, my version of a retro version would have the d-pad at the top. I play a lot of side scrollers and virtual console games on the switch, I would buy this thing if they did that.
