I do like the way you explain why it's designed like it is, percived weaknesses are actually sensible design choices.

Thanks! I know how I felt with it in hand so I’m sure others would as well.

As someone who used a satisfye grip also. I pre ordered mine the day i found out about this (i got the clear blue one from limited run) after playing the steam deck the form factor sold me. So far i still love it. Great review keep making great content!

Thanks! I gave up on the satisfye too. I feel it has a more “solid” feel to it with the crkd deck, if that makes sense.

@@SwitchScheme 100% makes sense! I'm already looking at other colors lol the collector in me can't help it! And gonna get some of the thumb caps , the fact that they update the firmware and are listening to feedback is great. All I need now is a variant with the dpad and left stick swapped for my retro games and I'm set!

I love mine -- I thought it was too thick at first, given the fact that I have small hands, but got used to it during my last play session. The ND also looks beautiful in the transparent color choices (I chose Crystal Pink). I am also quite impressed with the strength of the vibration and how, even when unlocked, the Switch stays put -- yes, it's tedious and annoying to remove, but at least we know our consoles are safe.

Good points! Thanks for adding to the conversation ❤️🥳 I wanted a clear one but the GameCube one sung to me.

Those "new see-through colors" you mentioned is actually the new version, CRKD Nitro Deck+. It comes with a WiiU Gamepad layout (same as Steam Deck).

Subbed, struggled to see some of the size comparisons. May want to bring your camera down slightly 👍🏽

Yea I was a bit irritated that the cam was so high! Youre 100% right LOL Glad showing the sizes helped tho, I noticed not all reviewers show them side by side and i know it woulda helped me

I am going to get a Steam deck for my daughter in a couple of months. I prefer my Switch though. Great review Scheme.

Great video. I soooo wish they had come out with this in the first year of the Switch's lifetime though. It feels pointless to buy one now since the Switch 2 is gonna come out fairly soon and it's definitely not gonna fit into this unfortunately. Otherwise I'd 100% get one.
I actually ended up buying a Switch Lite because it had ergo grips available. And I would've bought a full Switch or Oled if it had more ergo grips available (in Sweden). So Nintendo definitely missed an opportunity there.

Long comment incoming. Sorry, I tried to keep it short.
Im so torn between getting this or not. The price has just become more fair here, closer to crkd’s own price (before it was more than 30% higher) so Im considering the classic grey. I appreciate both the good and cons you’ve mentioned. Im still on the fence but Im now more leaning to a “yes”. I might just give up and get a Steam deck or Rog Ally at this point! 😂 Question though, do you think the back of the switch would be prone to scratches if someone keeps taking it out to dock? I like to play both handheld and docked.
Also the shade on people who throws away manual. As a late 80’s kid, I would read booklets that used to come with the games and the habit adapted to reading manuals now. 😂
    Thanks for the video. Subbed.

The back of the crkd deck is just plastic and has no edges to them so I havent personally had a scratch but I have seen another reviewer who said it did, so I dont know how prone it would be. I take mine in and out all the time too for recording and I havent scratched it yet.

Thanks for the review, but how's the input lag? i don't want this to be just like gulikit kong controller, the input lag on that thing is unbearable!
