I like both sides, Empire for having a logical reason why the glue chewers of Chaos can’t stomp them (Because Guns and Cannons are pretty nasty) and the Bretonnians because of my love for Magical Paladins bonzaiing into the Forces of Evil and coming out at top.
Which is why I propose that the Order Factions stop bickering over who sucks their leader off more and instead, unite to create a Tide of Order to drive by the Forces of Evil.
I would love to see a Lizardmen vs Skaven episode, both absolutely despise each other and constantly commit genocide and warcrimes against each other. Would make for a very entertaining episode 😁

The one point I wish Eli had brought up was flipping the Lady of the Lake narrative. She forsook her own elven kind and admitted the Bretonnians were better. An Elf goddess, which has to be the most egocentric creature in the setting, said the elves were inadequate because Bretonnia exists.
Silly billy, it got retcon'd into cope by saying it was all according to plan for the humans to waste lives in protection of elves.
That was far more civil than I predicted it would be. Nice show, chaps!

That being said there’s a depressing lack of Valerian and Custodes content in general.
I’ve read the Watchers of the Throne books 4 times now and to say I stan Custodes would be an understatement. I think chapter 5 of Regents Shadow does a cool job showing them off and I never see or hear about it mentioned.

You know in older lore Bretonnian regularly invaded the Empire and the Fay Enchantress knows all 8 lores of magic. Also the Lady's blessings regularly stops ranged attacks any way.

I don’t think pancreas knows that imperial wizards are canonically worse than bretonnian damsels. The prophetesses are even more scary.
Also the blessing of the lady protects you from bullets. Grail knights have this automatically and other knights just have to pray for it and be found worthy.
And LOL at a bunch of grubby halberdiers being able to hold down a group of grail knights. lorewise they’d get absolutely flattened. Grail knights, blood knights and the like are just in a different league than regular humans. Maybe chaos warriors with halberds could distract them, but not a bunch of normal dudes…
The Grail Knights are basically the Ordertide's equivalent of Aspiring Champions. Entirely devoted to their diety and blessed in turn with incredible magical and martial power.
I love Pancreas, I really do, he's an amazing content creator, but Bretonnia is the best faction in all of Warhammer and you cannot change my mind! In the lore, the Emperor decided to be present when a single Bretonnian Duke decided to beef with the Empire, imagine the threat a united Bretonnia under King Leonceour would pose, good thing the Lance and Hammer are friends...right? ....right?

I like pancreas too but his knowledge of bretonnia seems to just be from memes.
Bretonnia led the crusades against araby, conquered Marienberg and held off several empire invasions. They’re pretty OP.
Bretonnia serves a goddess who uses them as slaves to protect the elves and abuses the vast majority of their population.
No matter what Bretonnia does, that will always ruin them for me. The stupid "herr derr 90% tax, peasant was starving and took some food so I killed his entire family, no technology, all in the name of a goddess who loves the elves" nonesense

Skaven are the most modern. Totally unafraid to innovate. They're also the most evil, way worse than chaos or druchii. I like that skaven will occasionally help humans, if only to screw over other skaven.

Collin says the battle is not won in any one engagement on the battlefield, but the same holds true for the brettonians. The Grail knights will hold up a key unit and the rest of the bretonnians will attack with Trebs, Archers, more knights and their flying cavalry which the Empire is pretty weak against. As well, they might not have the same number of lores, but it's hard to argue against a Comet of Cassendora.
Tomb Kings vs Vampire Counts
Empire wizards can only master 1 lore of magic, while bretonnians can master 3. Add that to the lady’s blessings which can buff entire armies and the Empire is just flat out inferior to Bretonnia in the magic department.
They can master 3, but the empire has much more wizards and much more different lores avalible

Both sides can cast more than 1 lore of magic (accidentally), if you were regular human with more than 1 wind is highly possible to get dark magic to corrupt you

Louen is just a superhuman who could bench press 3 Karls.
If I'm not mistaken, Bretonnian grail knights worship an Eldar female who uses magic to trick humans into thinking she's a goddess. The knights might be cool, but they're being tricked. I like the vampire grail dudes, though. They treat peasants not great.
WHFB has influences from multiple cultures and time periods. The Bretonnians are from the Chivalreic period, the Empire is Prussian states in the 1600s to 1700s. Am i wrong? I've only really paid attention to druchii, skaven, undead, and the italians and pirates. Tilerea or whatever
Doesn't it say something that an Elven diety choses the noble Knights of Bretonnia over her elf servants? I've heard that in her realm, it is human Grail Knights that defend her and her servants, not Elves
The Lady of the Lake is Lileath. She’s an actual Goddess who chose the Bretonni tribe to help safeguard the Elven race and ensure that a part of the Warhammer World survived the End Times.
@@colonelsanders1349That’s a fancy way of calling them meat shields for the Elves. I personally enjoy their original lore where the Elven Goddess found the High Elves to be a bunch of pricks and decided to support the dudes actually worth a damn
