- FURTHUR bus restoration-first step.
Removing the bus from the woods ("swamp"). A group of volunteers and Original Merry Pranksters help pull Ken Kesey's 1964 International Harvester out of the woods where it has been deteriorating. Reel #1. The next step is up to the people. The Kesey's will donate the bus to the Furthur down The Road Foundation to be restored if the foundation can raise the money to restore it. Wow, where to begin. Seeing this bus to begin a new journey that brings back memories and stories that younger folks think was a mere fantasy of the older drugged out generations. I met your dad several times in Berzerkeley along with the crew. Wavey Gravey would remember me from People's Park. The last time I saw this bus was at the brown house on haste street. Back then I was called "Saint" before I evolved into Rad Rob during the early 80s punk era. I am grateful to see this effort and look forward to seeing the outcome in the coming videos. Blessings to all involved. And blessings to you, Zane, for the willingness to take this on and restore a piece of history, especially in these time when it seems everyone wants to rewrite history and would have this be a mere footnote to be ignored and forgotten.
