Ten Day Forecast: Looking Very Unsettled Later Next Week?

- Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in to today's ten day forecast video update. We're going to look at the weather for the next ten to fourteen days. Day ten will take us to 8th July - and we'll be able to extend out beyond that with the extended and ECM ensembles (they run to around a couple of weeks) We'll have a look at the CFS V2 for the July at the end of the video...
The weather has turned cooler and fresher after the recent very warm spell but most places are still dry away from Scotland. The weekend will bring a lot of dry weather and reasonably warm temperatures thought showers are likely in the north and west but looking ahead to next week, cooler northwesterly winds will bring more showers to with the weather looking increasingly cool and very unsettled later next week...

Very wet and cool across parts of Spain and Portugal
Cheers Gav. Typical old style UK crap summer weather. I'm going to give the model watching as rest for the next week or so as nothing of much interest if you like decent summer weather.

I wrote the summer off in the first week of June. I've seen the signs so frequently in the past. In those years the summer never arrived either.
I think 2022 started off a bit rubbish, but turned very hot later on. Though this year the deluge just seems to keep coming.
@@simonwyndham June was mainly dry but very cloudy and windy. July had the record hot spell. August wasn't anything special. Last summer and this year so far are certainly worse than 2022

@@nepaleseman1010 I'm going on past experience. I'm not saying it will repeat, but for Scotland at least, the first half of summer up until mid-July can be described as autumn
@@simonwyndham been cack since last July! Winter the signs up until 11th hour look great for a proper wintery spell on for the mild muck to invade! Likewise mild muck becomes cool cack in summer lol

It is horrible today, in the East Midlands. Gunmetal skies, cold wind and 16.8 C. We have gone from mid summer to the beginning of October and there is no end in sight either. I am missing the heat and humidity. I find it hard to watch your forecast Gavin as I know what's coming. It was so exciting when we had that 40c, especially the build up to it.. I have closed all my windows to try and keep the heat form the past six days. Thanks Gavin can you pull anything out of the bag in the next week.

No more rain please. Sick of it. Rubbish since October last year. No summer to talk about 😢might as well not even bother, with summer. My sandles and summer clothes are going back to my wardrobe. Gav I know you do your best reporting this but I’m guessing you’re not happy with this forecast either. I wish the ensemble were all wrong
