I chose Egypt because Graham Beck recently did an video about Egyptian Stamps on his Exploring Stamps channel and I figured there may be some residual interest in the topic. Graham's Video can be found here: • Exploring Stamps of Eg...
I really enjoyed discovering these stamps and learning some Egyptian history.
Of note we have stamps Of King Fuad and of his son King Farouk, both stamp collectors with interesting stories. King Farouk is exiled to Rome in a coup d'état in the Egyptian Revolution of 1952. Remaining stamps have his portrait obliterated.
Ancient history is represented as well. we find Egyptian pyramids, Sphinx, Queen Nefertiti, and pharaoh Ramses II
In addition to regular postage stamps we find a nice full mint set of semi-postal stamps, some airmail stamps, and even some early official stamps including an O.H.H.S overprint.
    Chapters:
    0:00 - Introduction
1:08 - Stamps are out of the bag
    1:58 - Afro - Asian Peoples Convergence 1957
    3:54 - King Fuad
4:25 - King Farouk With Obliterated Portrait 1952
    5:29 - Airmail Stamps
    13:26 - 1st Official Stamp 1893
    19:14 - O.H.H.S. "On His Highness' Service"

Great set of stamps. I have always loved Egypt since I was a kid. I am still loking for 5 Egypt stamps and a few Scott noted but not numbered to complete my collection. The United Arab Republic was a union of Egypt and Syria formed in the late 50's. The both issued separate stamps but were all inscribed UAR. Although Syria left after a couple of years Egypt kept the name for years.

I have a collection of stamps all over the world from my grandmother's legacy, are you interested in buying it?
