My favorite stamp from this lot is The Age of Reptiles. The depth of the design and the amount of content and detail the designer fit on a single stamp is unbelievable.
Runner up is the Margaret Mitchell. The designer here has made a simple but perfect piece of art. I lines in the face are amazing. Relatively few lines are used and no more are needed.

I search out valid postage because 9/10 I have it and helps pay for the lot by a tiny bit. Bought many grabs on paper from local stamp shop sometimes getting 100+ of same stamp.

US post office don't like round cancelations.

Yes they often use a two part cancel device. The circular date stamp is applied to the cover to the left of the stamp and then an obliteration, often wavy lines, cancels the stamp.
