- We drove from Whitehorse, up the Alaska Highway to the Dempster then on to Inuvik. Our trip included crossing the Arctic Circle, Visiting Dawson City and Tombstone Park.

Honestly this video was so natural for me. Its evident that the Narrator was not a tech savvy guy and edited in his voice into the video while watching it. But watching it felt like I was sitting with my grandpa looking at an old photo album as he talked to me about nature and some of his hunting journeys. CZcams needs more of these authentic and organic type videos. Keep posting and thank you for allowing me to envision my dead grandfather and bring back very personal memories I have of him. Through Safety and Health, keep living.

One of the very few travel videos worth watching. A nice family not self-obsessed so one gets to see the country and not talking heads. No ridiculous beating music louder than the narration. I loved your video, thanks. I just want to comment that having all those flats were because your tires are in really bad shape. I recommend better tires for you and anyone else thinking of heading up the Dempster or anywhere else in the Yukon or Alaska.
Those tires were about 1 1/2 yrs old and the west drive took em out. They were Passenger tires too not truck tires. We ae in Arizona now. Videos from Death Valley

I Don't have a GoPro. I use a Midland camera on the windshield and my Android phone also my Olympus E5.

"this road is horrific"? Is that what you said and meant at 4:04? And then you went on to say how amazing it was. Then you said a 5:3 :"it got worse". Then you said: "another bridge, oh my. we had to cross over this bridge". At 8:40 you said "there are people up here" just after you said "the road goes on forever". You missed the distinction between the Peel River and the MacKenzie River ferry at 9:40. And you would think that the Canadians would be able to construct a road in the arctic that required absolutely no maintenance and that wouldn't be subject to any forest fire smoke. "No end to the road ahead of us" at 32:35.
Lol...the road and the country and the conditions were crap...but the visitor centre was absolutely wonderful. So we should get rid of the road, construction, rivers, dust, bridges and just fold it all into the visitor centre and all is good. Good video though
We made this video a few years ago, I don't remember everything. Forest fires are part of the life cycle of forests but can be sad to drive through. If memory serves I saw vehicles with smashed wheels (this happened to me in NFLD and I was not well pleased) . Sometines we are on the road for 3 or 4 months at a time, shooting sunsets, sunrises, Northern Lights, Star Trails cooking on the ground and sleeping when we can. Sometimes I lose track of where we are, working on shots and video from days before, shooting new material and planning our route. Maybe 35 years ago I came back from the Yukon with 5 or 7 holes in my windshield and smashed headlights from flying rocks. I remember my Boxer seeing a big dog in the box of a pickup peeing on parked cars as they drove down the road. Cut me a little slack I'm just a Photographer.

I did walk among Bison, saw lots of wild life. Camped in Tombstone Park. It was great!
