- We just moved to a farm and I had four days to move my entire workshop. I couldn't just move my stuff, I also had to build a wall to protect my 3d-printers from getting all dusty.

Ants: If they are living in the wall they may be carpenter ants (if you have them there?) and they also need moisture. So carpenter ants (very destructive) also means water in the wall (also destructive) as they like damp. Don't ignore it. Been enjoying your videos for awhile, figured I'd give back a tiny bit if I could. Thanks.
Thank you! I think I need to open up the wall from the outside to take care of it
Space looks great. Although you look understandably exhausted (I hate moving) you can see the excitement in your eyes. I’m excited for you!
I've heard of dart boards, but you built an entire dart WALL...
Cork is pretty cool.
Agreed!
Good stuff man! I love the cork and pegboard, it looks super clean. Really have been enjoying your videos!
Thanks man! Well - I enjoy your videos back 😃
It is refreshing to see normal people, living normal lives, sharing their dreams and worries, their ups and downs. I initially joined your channel for your creativity, but keep watching it for the unpretentious "normality" of it all. I wish you all the best with your new life!
Thanks a lot! Truly appreciate it
That is so cool to get your wife something she wants. As they say "Happy Wife, Happy Life".
That must be the most true quote
Looks awesome Pierre! You’re such an inspiration.
You've made a lot of progress on the workshop. Looking forward to seeing the first project.
Loving the pegboard and 3d printed accessories. Definitely I hope to do when I have more time
Great job and the cork wall look awesome!
Nice space! I hope your move went smoothly!!
Great job. Looks amazing. Happy for you.
Well done!!
This is awesome, congratulations!
Nice compact space. Well laid out
Wow, looks great! I love the 3D printed peg board clip-on thingys!
Pegboard looks great!
Alat kerja nya bagus dan canggih, suatu saat saya akan memiliki nya juga, doakan teman teman
That’s a big move ! The new workshop and podcast studio looks great. I love the use of the cork and the pegboards look fab. Looking forward to you firing up that table saw. Great video as always keeping it real. Great shout out for the podcast 😊
Thanks man! I hope your having a wonderful birthday 😃
@@TheSwedishMaker Cheers 🍻 I’m having the best day thanks
What a great video. The speed at which you worked to get the shop moved and transformed the new space was phenomenal, and puts the 5 months of work I have done (and am nowhere near completing) on my shop to shame. I love videos where we see a bit more of the persons life, I wish I could show more on my channel, but as a short term foster family, we can't film the kids and put that in the publuc domain, but I love seeing the family dynamics, and you guys seem like such a fun, loving family. You definitely have a new subscriber here. Loved it!👍🏻
looks great!
Thanks!
Love the cork wall idea! Enjoy your new space!!
Thank you! Will do!
What a monstruous undertaking. Not only moving a home and then a shop is never easy. I did that move about 9 months ago and still have things packed away in my garage. However, it goes give me the perfect ability to limit what exactly comes into the new shop once its built.
yes - that is an upside of moving workshop.
Great looking workshop! Love how calm and relaxing your video's are to look at.
Thanks alot!
I have seen wall sized whiteboards and chalkboards on some office spaces. This is the first time I've heard anyone make a wall sized corkboard. Interesting idea! Good job with the whole workshop!
Thanks a lot!
Hey man! Great video thanks for capturing the move. I believe in the new shop! - would love to chat on your podcast when you’re up and running 👍
Beautiful result, even if it's only temporary.
As long as it isn't structural, there honestly isn't really a wrong way to build a wall. Just make sure you have a plan of where all the electric cables go so in the future you won't accidentally drill through one of them.
I like the socket straight in the pegboard, you can just hang some battery powertool or battery charger on there and charge it right there without it taking up any space.
I discovered your videos only a few days ago, but I like the way of your filming and your comments. The new temporary workshop looks great. Thumbs up!
Thanks a lot!
Birkenstock steel toes! You gotta love it.
Bra jobba :D
Min dröm är att också ha grusväg fram till en gård på landet. Svårt avundsjuk!
That space turned out really nice! Good luck with the rest of the move
Thank you
Very cool! I wish I had a bit more place. My current workshop is inside my main house and it also serves as a music room. All in all it is about 7m2 and very tight. It also tripples as my home office space.... I wish I had a WS :D
Aww, I’m totally jealous, that feeling of starting fresh with endless possibilities is amazing!
Best of luck, looking forward to more great content!
Thank you!
Nice channel ! You got a new subscriber !
This is great!! Can you talk more about the design philosophy (I saw you did a map of the space)? Also, what’s the title surface area?
Kul att ni börjar komma tillrätta på gården, blev ju riktigt trevligt i verkstaden!! 😃👍
Korktapeten blev ju riktigt frän! 👌
Tackar! 😃 blev lite sugen på en gammal traktor också när jag såg din
@@TheSwedishMaker Ja, en gammal traktor är ju ett måste på vischan! Är bra att börja fundera på vad man ska ha den till så man väljer en som passar behovet 😃
I''m gonna be honest, you are my inspiration and I want to build something similar to yours but I'm far far away from that. I will be watching every single one of your videos!
Wow, thanks!
You look so happy! I can see freedom in your eyes. How wonderful for you and your family. I am stoked for your wife too. Hope to see some of her work. Excited about about what you are going to be making! 😊
Thank you! I do feel more free than ever 😃
I love your vids!
Please take some time to improve the sound at your videos
You guys are a beautiful family. It's great to see you achieve your dreams and be able to spend more time together. Congratulations and kind regards.
Hey! Thank you for the kind words! Have a great weekend
Yeah, I'm about to start a garage/workspace makeover and that will have a lot of the Ikea pegboards.
They are really nice and offer some creativity
The new shop looks great I know moving is not easy especially in such a short time like you had to but it looks great can’t wait to see you you do next
Thanks 👍
Great video, looking forward to seeing the new new shop in the barn, should be great :D As for the wall building ... It would be really great if there was a place, like, maybe in the library, or maybe even somewhere closer or easier to access, like from a computer, where one could find instructions and tricks and tips for things like ... building walls ... ;) Just joking, done this so many times myself before I actually startet looking for and learning how to "do it properly" - the fun thing is: even those half assed figuring it out myself solutions usually last a really long time :)
Congratulations on the move. Temporary workshop looks amazing. so French cleats aren’t a thing now 🤦🏻 ah man Tim was right. 😂 cnc is gone! Perfect excuse to buy a shaper 😜 or wait to be in the bigger workshop and fit a full sized cnc. 😁
Thanks for sharing the update with us Pierre! The new temporary shop looks awesome! Congrats on the new saw btw. ALSO...did I see what I think I saw at 14:11...🤯
Haha yes you might have seen correct. Doing a test of it 😂
@@TheSwedishMaker Nice! Excited to see that. Maybe you can talk about it when you're a guest on the Off the cut podcast??? Also is your podcast in English? I want to check it out.
@@JasonGrissom yes it is in English :)
@@TheSwedishMaker Sweet! I'll give it a listen. Thanks Pierre!
@@TheSwedishMaker I've listened to the last 2 episodes. SOOO good! Thank you for sharing this. Got a lot to catch up on now.
Where is the Whiskey? ;-) Any good pages for used cmc, laser, 3d machines in Sweden?
Hallo from Denmark- Frederikshavn
Wish you ll the best! KIA rules ;)
Congrats on the new table saw! It's the #1 tool to upgrade and makes a huge difference in repeatability and just overall precision. Shop is looking good! Do you have dust collection plans?
Thank you! I do have some plans for dust collection but I will save the pipes for the next workshop
Could you add details for the cork? As a Swede I’m interested 😀
I bought it from kork24.se :)
Good video. Will you make a video about Laguna III later? I'm interested as I'm on a contractor saw currently and I've been looking at this exact table saw as one option (one reason being the ability to use dado blades which I'm sure you know as well that not all saws sold here in Nordics can do)
Yes! The dado is a big advantage! I might mention it in a future video when I have some experience using it
Looks nice, congrats on the move. FYI keep cork away from your cast iron tools. I made the mistake of lining my plane till with cork thinking it would protect the blade and look nice. The bottom of my planes rusted in 2 days.
God tip! Ill keep it away
Looks ace bud, enjoy 👌 #pegboardsFTW
Thanks John! I can hear you say pegboards in my head and I like it
Wheer did you buy cork pad roll? Bauhaus? I think I can use it as a inner layer for the CNC enclosure, to reduce vibration enduced noice.
I bought it online at kork24.se
Hi! I see your subscriber counter works nicely! I built it based on your video! Maybe you can tell how you changed the code for the 5 digits and if you found the solution for the instagram subscriber count not to drop to 0? Thanks for your videos, they inspire so much :)
Snyggt! Själv har jag precis uppgraderat TILL en DeWalt bordssåg, från ingen bordssåg! 😁
Congrats on everything!
Also, is that a Festool Exo-Skeleton on the wall?
Yes it is 😃
I would not be even able to tidy up my workshop in 4 days never mind move everything, I inherited the workshop from my late father and it took over a week to clear things up to get some of my printers and power tools in there, the workshop is a series of extensions that started off from a garden shed, my dad started off with a small extension when the shed became too small and has had three more increasingly larger extensions, the last two being 4 times wider than the original shed, the garden shed is just a porch and small exotic timber store now LOL
Sounds like a workshop we all dream of!
@@TheSwedishMaker Er Not exactly, there is a lot of work to be done in there, the roof is sound and I have replaced some of the metal panels that it is skinned with but there are lots of old broken power tools that my dad kept for stripping down for spares, I need to get some solar panels on the roof to power some heating to keep the damp out in the winter, there are two log burners in there but once the wood supply is gone I don't want to continue burning wood.
New space looks great! Congrats!! (Although Mrs. Projects is back on the pottery wheel nagging now.. so cheers for that 🙄)
Hahaha oops 😃
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi 👋, as regarding your CNC, you might of our tomato table that could fall down off the wall, so you could still have kept it, or even made some wreck in system so hung off the ceiling, so when you needed it, you could lower it down, as they say, where there’s a will, there’s a way. But as you so rightly said you’re young lady, wife has got a nice new tool to play with, better throw at a wheel instead of you., 😂.
Enjoy, Phil from the moulin France
Thanks Phil! I did consider the wall mount but it was easier have someone come take it off my hands.
I am not sure why you need this festool exoactive there my dude it is worth another Laguna fusion 3 but the workshop looks neat.
I dont need that thing :) thanks!
About the ants, I know a good way gow to at least prevent them from going inside. They are following the trails their scouts made. You only need to erase the trails. vinigar+dish soap solution works well. Gonna smell vinigar, but not too long. I usually just spray it.
Thanks! I will try that immediately
Hmm, the lock to the podcast room is on the outside. I guess you end up locked in and your wife will use the shop for pottery. 😅
Probable 😂
It will be hilarious your kids come to your workshop and lock you inside with your 3D printers 😂 Please put the lock inside or have an option to unlock yourself from inside as well 😅
Its a risky move 😂
I'm yelling at you from Canada . Hope you can hear this..... FRENCH CLEATS! Everyone goes to the washroom too.... What are you going to do? Stop taking dumbs because everyone else does? LOL Regardless, looks like fun. Nice space.
Thanks ;)
How did you manage to get a free printer from bambu lab? Did you ask for a free one or did they just send it to you
I asked.
@@TheSwedishMaker ok, thank you!
That's so wasteful to 3D print an entire pegboard just for the Maker Knife. I now must do it for mine!!!
Hahaha love that!
You guys have Ikea in Sweden??!! Just kidding.. Not nice job on the new workshop! Sorry you had to sell your cnc..
Wife got gyat
You just showed people in the world how to get to your house. Thats not good. Dont do that!
