Your assistant has the emotionally delivery of half the youtube content creators already out there! // Seriously, very nice work. I question the usefulness of Alexa/Google Assistant/Bixby/etc, but linking the voice processing with the power of ChatGPT might be what is missing.
😂 yes it isnt too enthusiastic - thank you! And that is a good suggestion!
Awesome!!!! Will definitely be pursuing this project further. As my handicap progresses, I must build and automate my shop to adapt. Making IOT devices using Arduino is my current plan. operate various shop systems - dust collection, lighting, safety, ...
Genius! Please keep us posted with any improvements you make to this.
thanks! Will do!
Amazing. Great work.
Excellent
Thank you so much 😀
Nice, as usual . Thank you.
That's a great build. Nice tablesaw ❤
Thank you Jesper! Oh the table saw is fantastic :)
Great post! Thank you! I love your workshop.👍
Glad you enjoy it! and thank you!
Great project Pierre!
Thank you Preston!
This is pretty sweet dude! I've been thinking about doing something like this myself.
I'd be interested in a follow up video after a few months. It will be interesting to find out how much you end up using it throughout the course of your day.
Thanks! I´ll see where I take it and if I use it alot I might keep working on it .
Tack för dina videor!
tack själv! :)
The new studio is looking great in the background!
thanks a lot!
You should get a small heatsink for the pi just to ensure it can be run more stable!
Great project
Thanks! I have been looking at smaller fans, but a small heatsink is a really good option.
Beautiful build! You you earned subscribe.
Thank you! 😊
thanks a lot!
@@TheSwedishMaker which mm moudle you first used for the Google Assistant?
Hi, I just purchased a P1P recently. What CAD software are you using?
I love it and I want to order one 😍
We have a huge whiteboard in my workshop with all the jobs, deliverables, production status etc. It's basically a workflow board. Something like this this would be so much better!
That would be a cool addition to the "app" - I might incorporate that in the future.
Two full days! gosh!
I’m loving both Jarvis and Friday. Great video again Pierre and the workshop is looking so cool. Thanks for the mention I’m always full of ideas if you need them😂
oh you are the idea genius behind my projects - so credit is always due :) thanks!
@@TheSwedishMaker I know you are the genius great work as always
Outstanding videos man
thanks! Appreciate it!
Awesome Video!
Thanks!
Nice work, thingyverse link seems broken?
thanks! I´ve updated the link
you - my friend - are a genius!
hahaha thanks Nick :)
I'd like you to make me one for my workshop - on one condition... its called Pierre! 😂@@TheSwedishMaker
Skynet, here it comes!!!!!!😱😅
Thats a great job Pierre. works really well, worth the extra time spent for the AI addition.
thanks Andrew! Yes I thought so to. It's a nice addition. Thanks for watching mate
Oooo! Thanks for this video! One of my non-woodworking hobbies is doing all sorts of things with Pis, and I like this idea. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
practice those miter joints. theyre not too fussy if cut on a miter saw, and some corner clamps make it a snap
I´ll give it a go! thanks!
Nice build Pierre! Can't wait for the upgraded version. Steve.
The Steve one would be such a great addition. I´m definately going to try to implement that.
Love it. I blame you for the next 3 weeks of rabbit hole I'm going to be climbing into to try and make something similar. Also, the screen buttons are awesome. How did you do the white colour on the buttons? If you tell me Bambu Lab AMS, I'm also going to blame you for me ordering an AMS
that would be the Bambulab AMS 🙏
@@TheSwedishMaker Dammit! Well played Swedish Maker, you win this round 💸🤣
Hej; Verkar som att din thinkeverse länkk funkar längre.
Very cool but very scary in a lot of ways in the wrong hands
nice job, maybe it's been done, but this is the first time I've seen chatgpt tied in with speech.
Felt jarring that the AI voice didn’t have a Swedish accent.
Loved it , such a clever project 🙂 p.s. you look a little tired 😂
Hahaha 😂 thanks mate
Doing cad without a mouse thats brave
The trackpad on the Macbook is actually pretty intuitive with Fusion 360.
Google smart assistant has become increasingly dumb in recent times.
Seems simple tasks are increasingly meet with "sorry i don't understand"
Okay, now I have to do this. But inside a robot.
haha just saw this - I would love to see that :)
That’s a fun twist to the good ol’ Magic Mirror!
But I’m left with one really important question, how did you change the name of your Google assistant so that it reacts to Jarvis? 🤓
Last time I googled it the answer was just “no”, that was a couple of years ago though.
The module of the Google Assistant that I installed for the Magic Mirror comes with Jarvis as the hotword so I didnt have to do anything :)
@@TheSwedishMaker Haha! I see ^^
@@TheSwedishMakerwhat is the name of this module?
Thanks!
Swedish Stark
That is so cool 😎 😀👍
impressive but any reason why you could not have used a windows, android, or mac tablet and achieve the same results?
it could have worked with a tablet as well I think. This was just more convenient for me since I had the display.
Did you have extra walnut because “Mrs. The Swedish Maker” won’t let you make things for the house with walnut? The AI topic isn’t of great interest to me, but your presentation made it easy to view and understand. A rather enjoyable video. And yes, a flat head screw driver makes a poor fire extinguisher.
thanks a lot!
One step closer to humans no longer communicating with each other...
I doubt that. Imagine only having AI friends - they are all such BesserWissers :)
Really cool. But I hope he doesn’t become the third northern maker. 😉
hahaha I could integrate him into the podcast :)
@@TheSwedishMaker or integrate @SteveBellCreates into the Ai 😂
nice job :D also first :D
you bet! :) thanks!
OK I watched this video. I’m subscribed because I liked some of the earlier videos of this guy making stuff, woodworking type projects. So what has AI got to do with woodworking? Aren’t woodworkers supposed to work things out and execute them using their own brains? Apart from the utterly pointless exercise of being able to talk to this box on the wall and tell it to turn the lights off, what is AI going to add to the party? This video doesn’t seem to elaborate much on what benefits will be accrued once the AI is installed. I noted that this guy had a conversation with some computer algorithm about a name of the video and came up with the idea that ‘every workshop should have this’. If you don’t mind I’ll pass on that suggestion. Why not rename this channel ‘ Tech Bro does fusion woodworking’?
The comments you write go directly to that guy you know
@@TheSwedishMaker fine but I don’t know your name and I was just trying to make my comment impersonal. I said I liked your earlier stuff and I subscribed, but that was because you do woodwork. However I have quite strong opinions about CZcams content makers who push, what in my opinion is inappropriate mass produced technology, into their videos. It’s just my opinion but I think woodwork is a craft to be learned not turned into a technical exercise using overly engineered, micro adjustable widgets. It’s wood we’re working with most of the time, not steel and carbon fibre. And it’s not the aircraft industry, or rockets. It’s mainly the shed and a bit of furniture for the house and garden - at least that’s what you seemed to be promoting in your earlier videos.
So... it's completely useless? :D But I'm also waiting for something that would resemble an AI assistant.
