Thank you, Nick! I have always loved plants, and have always had them. However, just this year have I (all on my own, unaware of the huge house jungle movement,) have become a total plant addict. Earlier I was just picking plants up randomly, just seeing something lovely and getting it. Now though, I see that my taste are refining, and I realize I am definitely an Aroid person! Also a Marantaceae family person! And beautiful fern, Aspidistra, and some unusual plants thrown in kinda person. But this video was super helpful in helping me to hone my Aroid awareness, and now I will be keeping eyes open for a Philodendron pedatum! I did just get a huge, gorgeous Philodendron bipinnatifidum (though I think you referred to it by it's new scientific category?) and it's a big part of my aroid love, but Monstera deliciosa started it all. Peace, and Plants!
I also did it on my own and was hugely surprised when I realized there was huge houseplant movement going on....perhaps Covid 19 isolation had to do something with it.....
Only just started the video and can already tell this may as well just be... additions to my wish list 😂🌱 Side note: philodendron Florida ghost is what I’m keeping an eye out for myself! Love the shape of the leaves, like the pedatum 😍
Hi Nick! I really like your favorite Aroids. My favorite is the Syngonium podophyllum “Albo Variegatum”. I love Syngoniums, and have started a collection. They are all small plants, or starts, just to make sure they like the environment. Thank you for sharing!
My Gloriosum is my favourite at the moment, happy to see it on your list! Philodendron Subashtatum is another favourite of mine at the moment, easy, forgiving and absolutely beautiful. Underrated philodendron.
I ended up with a syngonium that was on clearance and wasn't showing much other than green leaves but now that it is happy it has gotten the most beautiful white streaks and ohmygoodness I'm in love 😍 the big box stores sure can have some surprises! Thank you for sharing some lovely verietys as always!
I just got a few plants because of watching you as I wanted to fill in time I have since I retired and need a hobby. I never understood how hard it is to get plants like the ones you endorse on your videos. I love these & want to try to get a couple I did get the fig plant and two rhododendron that you showed as well but the large leaf I have not been lucky enough to locate. I did get a monstera from Florida but it arrived frozen & the place did not seem to care either so I tried putting what was left of it in moss & orchid bark to try to see if I can save it. I keep trying is all I can say as a result of you & your videos so keep them coming please. Yes I will try to get at least one of these you covered on this video.
I got a thaumatophyllum spruceanum a few months ago and it’s become the love of my life. New leaves are a joy to watch unfurl from their weird leaf ball; they just look and feel so elegant overall. I personally have mine way back on an east facing porch that doesn’t get direct light and water it 1-2 times a week with no problems so far and about 5 new leaves. Cleaning the leaves can be a chore I’ve found which is the only downside.
I love my Philodendron Gloriousum ! Apparently she loves her spot and the humidity she gets because she's given my 3 new leaves since getting her a month ago !!! Love your video's Nick... you enabler you!! Lol !!
Do one on all of your Calatheas & Peperomias !!!!! 😍😍😍 you posted about a Calathea Fascinata& I spent ALL DAY yesterday tryna find that video in your houseplant tour videos lol !! I have fallen in LOVE w plants !!
Hey nick ! i love and watch all of your videos, you are so inspirational, thankyou so much for producing entertaining content and great tips and advice
i have 4 cats, a couple of my cats chew plants.. i ran across this simple spray that stops the chewing.. rosemary tea.. i found tea bags online, bring a quart of water to a boil, add 6 rosemary tea bags and turn off the heat.. allow the tea to steep over night.. remove the teabags and put the tea in a spray bottle.. it is plant safe and non toxic...i mist the plants every month or so..
I just got my new favorite syngonium (Llano Carti Road), and my new favorite scindapsus (Jade satin). I love these guys, I even found a variegated maranta.
I discovered a channel called "LEGENDS OF MONSTERA", and the creator has already helped me save a plant I was having trouble with. He's a doctor in L.A, and he's a monstera/aroid enthusiast. I got a variegated Amydrium Zip. after I saw you unbox yours and went on the hunt for one of my own. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing your fave ariods. My fave in mty collection right now is my monstera deliciosa, monstera adansoni, philodedron moonlight and philodendron prince of orange!
I think you would love the Philodendron Tortum, I just bought one online for only 10 euros (a rooted stem with 1 leaf). It is almost like a fern or palm, but the best thing about it is that the new growth is PINK! And believe me when I say that I am not a pink kinda gal, but this one just does it for me! I dont know if you could get it in the US, it is also rare here in Europe, but I highly recommend checking this one out!
Such beautiful plants Nick, I just added a few more to my wish list, and my list keeps growing, the larger ones I don't have the room for them, but if I ran into one of them I would somehow just make room in my home for it, or if more than one then them, lol! Thank you for sharing, this was a fun video.
New to your channel and I absolutely love you! So cool to see your Pedatum. I have one that's been with me a few months and I've had no new growth at all, but the existing leaves are all healthy and beautiful.
You mentioned Rhaphidophora, I just got a Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma over the weekend at a Kroger of all places. It’s a very large plant with many stalks. All for only 20 bucks!!!
Love your list! I got the first one and a variegated monstera Thai constellation which will be my second favourite. I love the thallomytophylum and looking for it here on Europe but it’s a rare one here. Thanks for sharing.
Aroids are my favourite plants too. Your Pedatum is awesome! I'm not sure if you have Philodendron Golden Dragon but it would be your next favourite. It has similar shape leaf and it is variegated ^___^'
Would you could you do a video on house plant diseases and bugs and how to get rid of these problems? Thank you for your videos I mostly watch you videos to listen to you sprout out Latin
Yes me too. And why was I ashamed to admit that! Don't get me wrong. I love his plants and tips but his pronunciation of the real names is flawless. And he always says "in my opinion"...well Nick that is the one that counts! Love his videos.
lol that variegated syngonium is like $500 USD in new zealand, we really need some more supply of amazing plants here , private sales markets are insane :(
What are your thoughts about a green monstera that threw a single dot of white variegation? How does that happen and what does it mean for future growth of the plant? Haven't noticed any new growth with the white.
So my family took a surprise raod trip down to California before school starts (I've been sitting in the car for 18 hours on the way back) and the best part about the trip was picking up a massive scindapsus pictus (hopefully thats spelled right) for $13! You made me fall in love with it and if it dies I'll blame you (really just kidding tho jfjvjfnvkjfn)
Hi, Nick! Would you consider doing a video on your bipinnatifidum? I have had one since autumn (it's winter now where i live) and it still hasn't had a new leaf.
Your picks are gorgeous ! The M. Gloriosum is my favorite, it's on my wishlist...but it's quite hard to find. I've got a Ph. Micans, I adore it !!! it's such a generous plant, so so beautiful, I love its velvety leaves... Your M. Deliciosa is maybe variegating on its own ? I've got a majesty palm which gave me two variegated leaves in two years, among perfectly normal ones...
Do you have any tips for Gloriosum propagation? Mine is popping out it’s 5th leaf since I got a it. But every time I’m thinking “I need some more of that beauty”, I get anxious to cut ✂️
have you done a video on "plants you dont like and why"?...... cuz i find it hard to believe that there exista plant you dont love....😂😂😂😂😂 but seriously.... i would love to see you talk trash about some plants you dont like!
All of those plants have just been added to my wishlist! There is such a diverse range of plants in the Araceae family.

Side note: philodendron Florida ghost is what I’m keeping an eye out for myself! Love the shape of the leaves, like the pedatum 😍
Someone on FB was selling a cutting of it for $550. I'd rather buy more plants LOL
Michael C Omg hahah that’s crazy! Definitely take more plants over one insanely priced cutting 🤣
zoezygomorphic so am I it’s a beauty but pricey.. I’m trying to get it as a gift lol
I just received a mini Florida ghost. No white as yet but the leaves are so beautiful!
Hi Nick! I really like your favorite Aroids. My favorite is the Syngonium podophyllum “Albo Variegatum”. I love Syngoniums, and have started a collection. They are all small plants, or starts, just to make sure they like the environment. Thank you for sharing!

I'm very impressed with the ease of which you pronounce the plant names! Talk about a tongue twister lol
I love my Philodendron Gloriousum ! Apparently she loves her spot and the humidity she gets because she's given my 3 new leaves since getting her a month ago !!! Love your video's Nick... you enabler you!! Lol !!

Very informative video Nick, I was wondering about what a aroid was, great explanation. 😀
Great video 🌱🌿👍
Syngonium Podophyllum "Trileaf Wonder" they are so so beautiful I think you’ll love it if you don’t already have one
oooh! was literally looking for new aroids to buy online. perfect timing >:)
Literally gave a little cheer when you held up Scindapsus!

I loved your video, the plants looked pretty happy that they were highlight ed and discussed I must say !😁😁
Just added 2 to my wishlist. Thanks! New plant lover here!
I love the zippelanium! Never have seen that!
I've never seen a Philodendron gloriosum before! Put it on my wishlist immediately! 😯😍
Lol @ the subtle shade thrown at your thaumatophyllum’s slow growth. I do the same thing when I’m talking to my babies :)
Lovin your aroid collections...maybe you can add also one of my favorite syngonium "mojito"😊
Those plants you picked are all gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
Hi! Nick! You have Beautiful Healthy Plants! Thanks For Sharing!
What’s the difference between a philodendron and a monstera? Didn’t you say the “split leaf philodendron” is wrong labeling for monstera?
I just love the topics on your videos and thanks for recording videos frequently 😃🍀
You mentioned Rhaphidophora, I just got a Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma over the weekend at a Kroger of all places. It’s a very large plant with many stalks. All for only 20 bucks!!!
Super beautiful I love you plants 🤗🤗👌
Such a necessary fun and exciting video. Love your collection!
Love your list! I got the first one and a variegated monstera Thai constellation which will be my second favourite. I love the thallomytophylum and looking for it here on Europe but it’s a rare one here. Thanks for sharing.

Love the interesting variegated monstera tips. Aroids are hot rn bc look at all this variety!
Oh thank you so much for this video, now i finaly get whats going on with my monstera deliciosa. I've been so confused about it!
I need a Raphidophora tetrasperma and a satin photos ASAP. They're just not very common in Brazilian plant shops :/
I cant even hope to find it in africa 😭 but i found a few other aroids. I pretty buy as many as i find.
Aroids are my favourite plants too.
Your Pedatum is awesome! I'm not sure if you have Philodendron Golden Dragon but it would be your next favourite. It has similar shape leaf and it is variegated ^___^'
Love them all-just gorgeous.
Beautiful plants, as usual. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this! Love the picks and I think they’d be mine, too!

My favs. I just got a philo Mexicana and Jungle Boogie and a red dwarf
A cat from my neighborhood who I hang out with sometimes also attacks my syngoniums specifically, also piles pilea peperomiedes.

Would you could you do a video on house plant diseases and bugs and how to get rid of these problems?
Thank you for your videos
I mostly watch you videos to listen to you sprout out Latin
Yes me too. And why was I ashamed to admit that! Don't get me wrong. I love his plants and tips but his pronunciation of the real names is flawless. And he always says "in my opinion"...well Nick that is the one that counts! Love his videos.
If you ever get the chance, you should go see a titan arum, one of the world's largest flowers.
fantastic collection 💕🌿💚💕🌿💚💕🌿
Awesome channel. Thanks for posting.
Beautiful plants!!!
I have heard a bunch of people calling that monstera deliciossa the “mint”
🤣
lol that variegated syngonium is like $500 USD in new zealand, we really need some more supply of amazing plants here , private sales markets are insane :(
Love all your picks
"Who wore it better...?" LOL!!!!! :)
This variegated monstera still hasn't been identified after so long and so many viewers, is it really one of a kind!?
I love my pedatum ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What are your thoughts about a green monstera that threw a single dot of white variegation? How does that happen and what does it mean for future growth of the plant? Haven't noticed any new growth with the white.
Great and informative video!
Thanks for your video ..
Yeah ...i don't blame you Aroids are too cool and easy to grow...tradescantia is a close second!!😎
So my family took a surprise raod trip down to California before school starts (I've been sitting in the car for 18 hours on the way back) and the best part about the trip was picking up a massive scindapsus pictus (hopefully thats spelled right) for $13! Hi, Nick! Would you consider doing a video on your bipinnatifidum? I have had one since autumn (it's winter now where i live) and it still hasn't had a new leaf.
My favorite aroids are Alocasias, Scindapsus and Monstera.
Where did you find this Thaumatophyllum spruceanum? And how much did it cost?
lovely😍
Your picks are gorgeous ! The M. Gloriosum is my favorite, it's on my wishlist...but it's quite hard to find. I've got a Ph. I've got a majesty palm which gave me two variegated leaves in two years, among perfectly normal ones...
Did you propagate your syngonium in water first or just stick them in soil?
Hi there. Yes I so agree with you on that if I give mine just a smidge too much water boy how they get mad at me and just turn so yellow.
My cat sometimes eats plants. I don't know what to do. I really want a monstera. Is my cat not poisoned?
My fave in my collection is philodendron squamiferum
Do you have any tips for Gloriosum propagation? Mine is popping out it’s 5th leaf since I got a it. But every time I’m thinking “I need some more of that beauty”, I get anxious to cut ✂️
Hi! So philo pedatum needs to be chopped. Would i cut and propagate just like I would my deliciousa or something like that?
That syngonium i got from fields river😂😂😂 so many
Hey how much did you pay for your bipinnatifidum? I think it was my first big plant purchase like 5 years ago...
have you done a video on "plants you dont like and why"?...... cuz i find it hard to believe that there exista plant you dont love....😂😂😂😂😂 but seriously.... i would love to see you talk trash about some plants you dont like!
"Hello everyone. My name is Nick and welcome if you are new."
- every single time. :D
Haha my favorite
Yeah! But this time admittedly I listened to it back about 5 times cause it sounded like he said "my name is zickamulcum" 😆
Can you show how to propagate a gloriosum? Im afraid to cut into mine!:)
I need his monstera varigated undescribed.
Buying a Amydrium Medium soon but there’s no youtube vids about it 😥
Can you show us how to propagate a syngonium? Thanks?
What are your thoughts on growing a couple of diferent plants in the same pot? Is there a good way to do it?
I do that and has no problem..as long as they all got the same care requirements like water and light, consider size of pot too.
Monstera deliciosa “green on green” is the name of your plant
My roommate’s cat also ate my entire albo 😭 RIP
Thaumatophyllum?
I thought florida ghost would hit this list. Absolutely amazing plant.
