    I love your channel so I don't forgetto click that thumbs up buttonI love your plants it's like a jungle in your apartmentit looks greatI use the microphone on my tablet to type this comment so hopefully I'll find all the mistakes before I push apply the comment button. I've been watching you for a long time and you have great insight into plants and where they go and I love love love how you can pronounce all those Latin names great job. I don't have cable TV anymore so I've gone to CZcams for my entertainment and I am amazed at the talented people producing plant and garden videos. you rank up there in the top 10 but I don't have any particular order but I enjoy your videos very much. One of my subscription people Carolyn on Jacqueline's orchids and Jacqueline is spelled j a c o l y n combination of her name and her husband's name Jack. She suggested that I start filming even if it's only for my own benefit so I did start feeling my orchid collection and a few a tiny bit of my houseplants. I finally got brave enough to start my own CZcams channel so if you go to Kathleen Murphy and add the word orchids coleus philodendron indoor house plants into the search engine along with my name you will find me. I would appreciate any subscriptions and especially any comments that you would leave for me to read. And of course I'd like you to click the like button. I'm 70 years old and this is all new to me so I finally been brave enough to make my own channel. I have lots and lots of house plans I have five gardenia trees I've managed to keep alive for three Winters I have coleus that I've managed to keep alive for the winter and now hundreds of babies for men to have outside on the patio I have a big collection of alocasia and colocasia but I just acquired this summer I'm going to do a video on and I separated the babies and I think I'll do a video on separating the babies from the mother plant because I bought more at Lowe's. They have them $9.99 some of them are Mismarked.. but please come to my channel I have a big phalaenopsis orchid collection also around 40 and I'm going to do a repotting video of supermarket and Lowe's orchids and how to tell if you're buying a good orchid. Please come join me at my station or Channel whatever we call this on CZcams I really want to have a two-way conversation instead of one way with people that I love watching their videos thanks in advance for coming and joining and subscribing and commenting and liking

    Thanks for another great video. Thank you so much for addressing the issue of there being a small and a larger ZZ. I saw a huge one in a hospital lobby that was jaw dropping. I couldn't understand why mine didn't have the nice thick stems and big size after four years. Many people, like myself, thought that a ZZ was a ZZ. I am now in search of the larger variety.

    Awesome Nick, thank you for sharing these five plants, the Monstera is too large for my house, but maybe I could find a small one and then my space can adapt to it. I love my ZZ plant, super easy to grow. I always thought the scindapsus was a satin pothos, awesome I learned something new, and I have this plant, and I have noticed when it needs a drink that it's leaves curl like you mentioned. The scindapsus Exoctica is on my wish list along with the Silver Ann. Thank you again Nick this was a great and helpful video, see you again soon.

    Awesome information I’ve learned so much thank you, thank you, thank you. The only thing that I’m concerned about is that I share my home with several cats and I’ve been doing research on toxic plants. Which causes me to put all my plants on the wall or on high shelves where they can’t get to them. However I would love to have my place look like yours but I’m afraid the cats will try to eat them and it will make them sick. I wish the growers would put warning labels on plants that when you buy one you will know if it’s toxic or not and u would know where to place it out of reach. Just because a plant is toxic doesn’t mean I’m not gonna buy it of course I will or I wouldn’t have any plans because a number of them are toxic. I just wish that I knew which ones were without having to dig and research it. I got brave yesterday and placed a cat palm in my living room because I learned they were not toxic and my cat started munching away. I moved it because I don’t want it pruned daily. LOL. Love your videos.

I’m a new plant parent that didn’t think I liked plants / flowers at all but I’ve discovered that I love green plants (they’re so cool!!) & like 1,5 months ago I got myself two spider plants & yesterday I got an sansevieria & I love them! 😍 I have a question; do you have some type or artificial lighting to your plants that needs more light that you can’t live them through natural lighting? I only have north facing windows & I don’t want to be restrained in which type of plants I can get because of that. Keep on making videos! I love how chill & nice they’re to watch & it really shines through how much you love plants ☺️

    I am very interested in how ZZ plant get in a dark windowless bathroom or bedroom without a grow light in those rooms. You may as well tell them that they could quit a plant in a closet I'm not sure how that's going to work out have they ever come back and told you. my ZZ plant loves the light I have it outside right now and it's just loving it it's doubled in size the old-growth hasn't grown any taller but it's double the amount of stocks that has and they're twice as high as when I bought it. The pot is deformed the nursery pot that is and I've got to replant it before it breaks the ceramic pot but it's placed in as a cash pot. The microphone on my tablet keyboard doesn't know how to spell the proper cash CA c h e oh dear oh well I can't go back and correct it because it's too time-consuming. I also have been using the leftover nutrient water that has fertilizer seaweed emotion and epsom salts in it after my orchid soak. I know the seaweed fertilizer has hormones in the towel plant what to do grow leaves grow flowers grow roots and my orchids are doing wonderful with it.

    @sooth15 Před 5 lety

    I would love to have a Rhaphidophora tetrasperma but they're just too expensive, and I don't really understand why. They apparently grow really fast, and "like weeds" as you mention, so I don't know why the supply/demand hasn't brought down the price on them. The average price is about 135$ which is insanely expensive. I like Monstera deliciosa too, but I don't have the space for it, which is why I'd prefer the Rhaphidophora tetrasperma. I keep hoping I might just be able to get a small cutting.

      SuperChicChick ont prune the babies!! Are they sprouting from the soil? You can carefully dig those out and repot them. Fill the hole with some extra soil.
      If the leaf growth is getting out of hand you can prune at a node (where the leaves sprout from the stem and make sure it has a little root nubbin thingy$ you can pop it in some water and grow yourself a brand new monstera.
      Monstera propagate easily and you can give them as gifts and I’ve seen a lot of people selling their cuttings online.

    Zzs are not structurally appealing to me( that’s what I feel at the moment-my mind changes about plants).
