I got a “selloum” last year and it was in a 10” pot. I did not take care of it well so I ended up killing it and had only 1 brown stalk left. I left it on my deck and watered it daily. It got so big that it is at least 6’-8’ across now. It has so many leaves and still keeps on going. For that reason, I have named my plant Lazarus like in the Bible. It came back from the dead. I had to repot my plant into a 20” pot and is in a corner in my living room but still continues to grow. Because it’s so big now, I can not even take it out to the deck anymore. This is a miracle plant for sure! I love your videos! I’ve learned a lot from you.
After finding an 'accidentally' variegated peperomia a few weeks ago, I also found a variegated monstera deliciosa at our local garden center today. It totally made me think of you and I'm sooo excited to see it grow!
Love your excitement Nick. I have your Wax ivy from your Etsy and I love it too! It’s no where as big as yours though. Wow! I’m so glad you have that special monstera! You will care for it better than anyone and share its beauty on CZcams. I wish I could handle 350 plants but I can’t even imagine! You’re amazing! Thanks for the smiles!💚
Love your love and excitement for your plants! It is great that you love your plants not for their popularities but they have a special place in your heart.
I literally love allll of theses plants myself. And now you’ve made number 2 a wish list item for me. I’m a sucker for the under color leaves as well I was shook when you turned it around 🥰😩🙌🏾
Love that you are back making videos. Love your excitement and enthusiasm about plants. Wish I had your Plant 🌱 Brain 🧠. I am up to 300 + plants in my house and patio. I can’t imagine choosing a Top 5. Like you my favorites change, often. Right now my favorite is my Polynesian Ivy. I am such a Plant 🌱 Nerd 🤓. I could spend hours looking at it’s leaves. Thanks for the time you take to shoot your videos for us. Already Looking forward to the next one.
Great video. I love learning about your favorite plants. I also love that, while you are showing the favorites, the background is full of lush beautiful plants.
Hi Nick! WOW, 350 plants! That's amazing and they are all so beautiful! I love watching you and your excitement over your plants. I don't think that any of your top 5 favorites are boring. I like all of them. I may have to look into trying to find the senecio. I like the look of ivies, but like you, I've tried different ivies and no matter what I did, they got spider mites. I even purchased 2, sprayed with insecticide as soon as I got home, quarantined them, and within 1 day they had spider mites. Go figure! Thank you so much for sharing your love of plants. Already waiting for your next video!
I think they all are beautiful plants. I have the waxy one and the grape. I put them outside in the shade for the summer and they are growing like crazy. Great pics.
I got my Thaumatophyllum in 1983 from a grocery store in a 10” pot with multiple plants in the pot and it was stuck in front of the window at my dorm for the first year. I named it George. . It was big then and it is Huge now since it is always outside. I love it too. I like your plant that is red on the underside!
... and I just purchased a very NICE one from Pepper's greenhouse! Nick's plant in the background in several of his videos just put me over the edge to buy one!
wow love the Cissus Adenopoda that you showed, I would love to have that plant in my house and I also love when there is a different color on the underside of the leaves. And loved the ruby ficus you showed, I had not seen a ruby version before, would love to see this plant at the nursery.
Put on the lo-fi beats playlist on spotify on top of this video and instantly feel chill to Nick talking about plants! Great video once again, always excited for ur content!
Not sure if that one is a true variegated plant. Variegation sometimes happens on the newer leaves, for protective camouflage out in the wilds. The variegation might disappear on the older leaves in time..
Hi ,Nick I do have a couple of ur fav , but I also have ur number one favorite, the ivy. She’s is beautifully variegated. I found her at a nursery in Quackertown PA. I have her outside and it’s growing like crazy. Please continue to make more videos. I can actually learn the correct pronunciation on these plants. 🌿🌿🌿
Did not know the difference between the two Scindapsus plants! I have both and am happy to know they will most likely do well. They are one of my very favs too!
Hi Nick, 🌞🌈Your such a pleasure to watch, probably because you can tell your such a genuine, nice person. Thank you for sharing your favourite five plants, really enjoyed it and the stories behind them. 💚
Nick, love your 5 favorite, giggled when you talked about how excited these plants make you. Maybe I should try and get one of your #1 favorite plant because I can't seem to grow ivy's but maybe I could grow this one since it's more like a succulent. I just today acquired the Ficus Elastica 'Ruby' at my local grocery store for 4.98, and it's in a 6 inch pot and very healthy, this plant is or was on my wish list. Wow to how many plants you have, thanks for sharing this video.
Love this video! I would say my top 5 are 5. Fiddle leaf fig 4. Ctenanthe lubbersiana 3. Peperomia russo 2. Ludisia discolor 1. Macodes petola honorable mention: vertical senecio and trailing jade.
Omg... love your top 5. That monstera is awesome. Glad u got it. Looks like mutation in coloration. Keep it in its current lighting condition or even higher to keep its verigation alive. Rare indeed. I had a couple of plants harmed due to planters falling on them. They do heal. Just feel bad for the awkward healing phase. Thought I was the only one with accidents like that. Glad Im not the only one.
I loveeee you’re 5 and 4 choice because those are LITERALLY mine too! My scin. Pictus argyraeus is legit my fastest growing of every single trailing house plant I have and it amaaaazes me! It’s in a west window and gives me a new leaf like every few days I swear, but my exotica is in an east window and is getting bushy but didn’t start making moves until I put some coffee grounds in (I always forget to fertilize when I water and coffee is the only sure fire way my plants start growing like weeds). Also my Phil. Was labeled as a philodendron “hope Selloum” but you just taught me something today! I rescued mine after a night shift from a scorching grocery store parking lot and it hangs out by my sliding glass door at an east window looking like a damn mutant 😂😂😂 you’re right though, people don’t find them interesting but they are my baaaaaabies 😩😩😩👌
oh my god!!!!! Your favorite houseplant, the variegated wax ivy, is the exact plant I have been trying to find the name for forever! my housemate has one and she got it as a gift so she didn't know the name and Ive been looking for it everywhere! Hers is such a cool variegation too like its very pink on the front of the leaves. I totally agree with you though, it is one of the coolest plants and hopefully the cuttings she gave me survive/propagate ok because I want one of my own!!
Love this video Nick, I would call it a monstera camouflage:)) I actually like that one way more than the others that are WAAY more common, I love unique and different...something no one else has! great eye for catching him and taking him home!!! tnanks for sharing, really enjoy your videos (even though I don't comment as much as I should be) Emily
Fir some reason I have binge watched your videos. You spoken so highly of this wax ivy plant. I just bought one. Ivy is such a pain in the butt, I hope this is amazing.
Your monstera has the typical 2 tone varigation that we use on our clothes as generic "jungle camouflage" so it's kinda fitting that it has a name of undescribed....lol :-)....and there's NOTHING wrong with poison ivy. Nothing. And, I know that it isn't a houseplant, but I have a bougainvillea that I just can't kill and I bring it in every late fall (Canada) and after it drops its leaves it grows again, flourishes and flowers by February once again in front of my south-facing window! And if I'm careful to acclimate to the outside in late spring it will keep it's leaves from that move and take off even more outside for the summer. It is just amazing! I've had for a good 5 years or so and I love love love it! My next fave is a new philodendron "jungle boogie" that I got last October and it's been growing like gangbusters all winter. It too is in my south-facing window so I guess I'll have to bring it back a ways in the summer but it just loves its new home for now.
New subbie here. And this was my 1st time watching one of your videos and what a treat. My favorite part was when you were getting ready to introduce the #1 and you dipped back to notable mentions! The suspense! And I have struggle with ivy for years. In March I decided to try again with a hydera variegated. And its just living...and that is a success. But the crispiness ant the base...the constant misting. So to be introduced to an ivy look a like that I have never seen before is awesome! Thanks. I am going to look for it now. I saw a comment about yout Etsyshop. Do you have it?
I'm going to school to become a vet tech but now I'm thinking maybe I should have a job like yours because you have access to a ton of cool plants!!! That's a nice variegated monstera!
It grows as a huge outdoor plant in California. In other zones, 8 and lower you can put it outside for the summer. It loves partly sunny spots. My #1 fav houseplant.
That last plant is awesome in that it looks like ivy, which I really like. I’m dealing with spider mites on mine. 😩 I wish it was as easy to care for ivy as it is to care for a Sansevieria. I love it’s wild, outdoor look. If this ivy doesn’t make it, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing any more. Thank you for the hope of possibly owning one that resembles ivy plants without all the fuss! I had no idea. I’ll have to see if I can find it. Great video!
Its strange, but one of my favorite plants at the moment is my little ivy. Its simple and easy to come by sure, but I would argue that it is a true beauty. It has two green colors and alot of white! The beauty just hits me every time I look at it!
It is so funny you mention the labeling philodendron selloum. I litterally bought a monstera deliciousa last summer labeled that way at a Lowes! I thought to myself when I saw it, "That's not the right name, but for the price, I will take it!"😂
I rescued a philodendren sellum from Lowes a few months back for $5 in a ten inch pot. Inside it did nothing , I put it outside a month ago and finally produced 2 new leaves, so bright light is a must for this plant.
Must say your plants are really clean..please do a video on how to properly clean plants..as my leaves gets dusty over time..I used to spray water but again there r spots all over.anyway love your work nick
Thank you for a great video! I also got the same senecio recently. I had Ivy before and it definitely is the most terrible plant you can buy. Like, if you want a sure way to get spider mites, go buy Ivy! I did find this senecio to be easier to grow, but unfortunately, it did get some aphids on it several weeks after I purchased it. Now it's in my garden away from my other precious houseplants xD The aphids are pretty much gone, but I think I will keep it outside until early fall. I think it will do much better than inside. Also, it is super easy to find here where I live and it's not expensive at all. But then again, peperomias are hard to come by here, as well as any special philodendrons and other amazing plants that you seem to be able to find much easily. :(
Your super power is the ability to just rattle off the scientific names of the plants. I am in awe ever time I watch.
Kathy Williamson Right??!! I’m in awe too!!! If we keep watching we will eventually learn the names too!! Lol
Can somebody make a 10 minute compilation of Nick just saying the scientific names of plants?
It totally made me think of you and I'm sooo excited to see it grow!
wow that young monstera has such curious lime variegation :) I'd love updates on that guy :)
You're reaction when revealing the red on your cissus was adorable! Love it.
Love your love and excitement for your plants! It is great that you love your plants not for their popularities but they have a special place in your heart.

I love seeing how happy these plants make you
I loved watching your enthusiasm and love for your plants!! 👍
Great top five! I really enjoy your enthusiasm for your plants!
HOW CUTE ARE YOU?!!!! Omg I'm definitely an instant subscriber! I adore how excited you are about the purple backs of that cissus. So informative too!
I literally love allll of theses plants myself. And now you’ve made number 2 a wish list item for me. I’m a sucker for the under color leaves as well I was shook when you turned it around 🥰😩🙌🏾
Your excitement for your plants is contagious! Thanks.

I enjoy your connection and love for your plants!
These are my favorite kind of videos that you make. It's fun to watch how excited you are about these plants!
Great video. I love learning about your favorite plants. I also love that, while you are showing the favorites, the background is full of lush beautiful plants.
Congrats for highlighting your favs 🌱 your channel is so so inspiring ~ 👏👏👏😍😍😍🌱🌱🌱🤞🤞🤞
Really enjoyed this video - so nice to hear someone enthusing about plants that aren't the 'trendiest' and to see something different.
Hi Nick! WOW, 350 plants! That's amazing and they are all so beautiful! I love watching you and your excitement over your plants. I don't think that any of your top 5 favorites are boring. I like all of them. I may have to look into trying to find the senecio. I like the look of ivies, but like you, I've tried different ivies and no matter what I did, they got spider mites. love, love your plant collections, love your green space,
I think they all are beautiful plants. I have the waxy one and the grape. I put them outside in the shade for the summer and they are growing like crazy. Great pics.
Oh wow you cute Nick, love those blue eyes of yours. Anyways, good content, nice layout of plants as well. Keep it up, I’ll be watching 😋🌱🍀🌷🌵
My Scindapsus Pictus Argyreus is now growing up my bathroom wall. It is literally taking over, lol....
Love all you choices thanks for sharing!
I got my Thaumatophyllum in 1983 from a grocery store in a 10” pot with multiple plants in the pot and it was stuck in front of the window at my dorm for the first year. I named it George. . This is a joyful video. Thank you so much!
What a nice jungle!!! Your jungle is beautiful.
Love all of your beautiful plants...tfs.
What a great top 5! That monstera is pure joy! 😄
Love all your plants Nick
My scindapsus pictus exotica has been my favorite recently too!
That Scindapsus Pictus "Argyreus" is beautiful. I love the silver color with the smaller leaves.
... and I just purchased a very NICE one from Pepper's greenhouse! Nick's plant in the background in several of his videos just put me over the edge to buy one!

The oxygen level in your apartment must be off the charts your awesome love all the information
Wow, thanks for sharing. I got to ID the plant I just got last week at Home Depot. The Peperomia Graveolens. It is such a cute Succulent.🌵
You are too cute. Your 'grape' plant is fab! 🤗
cool. I like your taste in plants.
I honestly like that monstera better than the white variegation
Not sure if that one is a true variegated plant.
Variegation sometimes happens on the newer leaves, for protective camouflage out in the wilds.
The variegation might disappear on the older leaves in time..
kufujitsu wdym by true variegated plant?
4:20 that plant just assaulted you hahaha. love your videos so many plants I wish I had all of them!
I wish I could have that many houseplants! Your air must be so clean!
As always such a great inspiration. Now I want a wax ivy, I didn’t know they bloomed.
Wow my baby monstera started doing that with the leaves and I thought something was wrong with it ! That’s so cool, thank you for sharing !
You are a honey 🙂 and a real kindred spirit when it comes to plants ❤🙂
And cats..

Going back to this video just because and still in awe of how you pronounce these scientific names
Super score on that monstera! I’m praying for the same stroke of favor 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Yes! Was waiting for this!

My friends give me a hard time cause I have 25 plants! I’ll probably end up with 350 in a few years! Haha

Pure plant joy. :)

Nick! I just got a wax ivy in the mail because of you it's all I've been wanting!
350..they r all ur fav..love ur video ❤
Thank you so much for all your advice
It grows as a huge outdoor plant in California. In other zones, 8 and lower you can put it outside for the summer. It loves partly sunny spots. My #1 fav houseplant.
Yes, I love waxy ivy. Mine have purplish tint probably from strong light
I have the same plant leaf fetish! One of my favorite is the peperomia ‘ruby cascade’ 😍

I love these!!
Some Nice Choices :)
Must say your plants are really clean..please do a video on how to properly clean plants..as my leaves gets dusty over time..I used to spray water but again there r spots all over.anyway love your work nick
Nick, which would you choose if you could only pick 1 plant to keep from everything in your collection? :)
Wowwwww that monstera is amazing.
Thanks for sharing with us.
Excellent presentation.
Me encantan tus plantas. Gracias por subirlo. Saludos
Я не понимаю, что вы говорите... но это не столь важно. Я любуюсь вашими цветами, вы молодец 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for a great video! I also got the same senecio recently. I had Ivy before and it definitely is the most terrible plant you can buy.
