The Reality of Riding a Classic Bike Over Winter

They dont like the cold!
I take the FJ out once or twice a week which should be enough to keep it happy but no. It difficult to get started everytime.
I love the FJ its all good character but it certainly aint no getaway bike.

Mine also has some difficulty with the temperatures around freezing but it does start. Only with full choke at first and a little bit of gas. It doesn't start with no throttle nor when given too much throttle.
Also if it's only for short trips (less then half an hour) I'd use a trickle charger to keep the battery charged.
I have a different problem though, clutch lost pressure so I have to replace my old brake fluid, it's really weird though since the problem started with the clutch lever returning very slowly and now I just don't have pressure.

Try cycle thé ignition a few times until thé clicking stops when you cycle it. Maybe that helps? Lot of air in the fuel system.
