I see Chamath, I click
Basically, yhh...
we are all simple men
I double click
The Interviewer simply ruined it for me :
-Checking phone while Interviewing
-Weird laughs and actions
-Inappropriate sitting posture
-Unclear questions
And Chamath, as always, raw, real and awesome!
Wow so much respect for Chamath for tolerating that rude, unprofessional interviewer
I have listened to NUMEROUS Corporate Leaders (over the last 7 days) .....My FAVOURITE TWO are Jeff Bezos and Chamath. Chamath is very special for his HUMILITY, CANDOUR, RAZOR SHARP mind and the manner he articulates himself. Truly amazing. I wish him the VERY BEST FOR HIS TARGET 2045. I have absolutely NO DOUBT that the World is going to hear a LOT MORE of him. God Bless
Also, Naval Ravikant
Such a transparent person
That feeling when hearing "Born in Sri lanka"🥰🥰 so proud ❤❤
Somehow he just turned this interview into his personal therapy session lol. Not sure how, but he got deep into his personal life.
Chamath *thumbs up*, interviewer *thumbs down*
interviewer is very very relaxed and thats why great contents came out of this thing
You’re just mad he made two grand
@@FighterFlash КККЖЖЖЖЖЖЖЖЖЖЖЖЖЖ
He seemed a little starstruck but... being fully self expressed and having fun next to Chamath versus tightening up isn’t easy
I urge you, Waterloo. Never put that interviewer on the stand again. This interview could have been so much better without him.
Absolutely agree. I saw another clip of barely 1.55', and the interviewer looked at his phone twice. FFS, the guest you invited is speaking, taking the time from his life, and he can't even put his phone away for a bit? Utterly disappointed, and sorry for the guest.
So many unnecessary interruptions too
@@RajjjjjS he was probably looking at his notes for the interview not who’s texting him lol
he is ok. he was mostly quiet, luckily. he seems to think like a kid, and i am not really into kid mentalities. so, i would prefer a more advanced mentality to present Chamath.
I agree about the interviewer but dont forget chamath hired and funded him. You and i are sitting somewhere watching this on youtube. Chamath is awesome.
Came here to listen to my favorite modern day visionary and forced to endure the worst modern day interviewer. Chamath was still worth it.
When as a person you did all the levels in the game.
Lolol! Nice
His recommended book: Adult Children of Alcoholic
I was in that crowd and met him post this conversation, such a privelage to discover and learn from his experiences
Probably one of the best lectures on CZcams
He talks, we listen.
who ever talked about the Interviewer probably dint get the message. Few of the things i learnt here....
1. Be open about learning from ( better ) ppl better.
2. The process of learning is worth all the risk.
3. There is work you can do on yourself to put yourself in a position to be excellent.
4. This work is Thankless. No one will see this but it is what makes you powerful.
5.You feel outta balance coz something that you value in life is outta wack. ( understand what u value )
7. When your'e outta balance, you feel inferior, you indulge in negative self talk, self doubt, you project this outwards onto your'e world view and everything around you.
8. When your'e outta balance, you feel stress, and stiffness in your body etc.. ......
9. Find your triggers and slow it down and get to work. you need to change something to get back that balance.
10. Finding that Balance is not everything, awareness is. Awareness is something you can actually work with.... it will give you a great start.... it will keep u going, there is always something new there....
11. Dont be an entrepreneur for the sake of it, there must be something that drives you, drives you enough to make u wanna effect that change. There is energy in it. That will guide you.
Greetings and blessings from sri Lanka. May the triple gem protect you both.
Not everyone is gifted with good decision making ability. And not everyones "gut instinct" is directing them in the right direction.
This isn't something you just have right off the bat. At least for most people. This is something that is tempered through experience and actually going for it. If everyone had excellent gut instinct and instinctually good decision making then we would have more billionaires and less miserable people
It's something you develop from your mistakes and learning from others from reading books to talking to more experience people.
I was already on the path of tearing down walls and Chamath may have just taken me all the way.
38:30 the sunk cost fallacy is especially relevant here. Thanks to Chamath for putting it into context
Interesting thoughts!! Liked his way of thinking and his perception for life! Get to work and stop fearing failures!!!
How do I mute the interviewer?
SWAPAN JAIN The Joe Rogan Experience would be the perfect platform for Chamath 🎯 #alphaiq
Andrew yang should be on jre as well. My favorite channel
Agreed, the "Freedom Dividend" would be a great topic of discussion.
Cmon man.
Pretty funny considering Chamath Palihapitiya's last talk at stanford had the best interviewer ever. These guys are obviously friends which makes it less cringey, but, if I were preparing for an interview with Palihapitiya, I would try and find a single digit number of questions that are really good and just let him talk. He's such a good speaker when the people interviewing him just let him rant.
I am happy for those of you in the US & Canada as he is an invaluable asset to your countries! Even though Chamath was born in sri lanka,we have not become lucky enough to have him here!
Move to Canada
Enjoyed this interview - although the interviewer is clearly very very young and the immaturity comes through every once in a while.
love this man!
18:00 to do what he says: learn to meditate and become aware of mental habits and pay attention to feedback. Keep being aware and over time you can slowly chip away at those patterns!
That man's laugh goes straight to 5th gear.
Love from Bihar, India 💛
I need to find out who Chamath's tailor is
Will never be a problem for me, I’m too fat and sticky to fit his style
Love listening to this guy
Chamath is beautiful!
Thank You Chamath for being honest and authentic during this Interview. You are always a true inspiration for me !!!
U look like u will be on a prepetual hunt for inspiration
This is comment is in understanding what the interviewer actually did for this interview. He made Chamath comfortable enough to deep dive into his life. I think its easy to get irritated because the interviewer has a very "child like" approach but I do think it added to Chamath's comfortability. I think the environment plays a huge part in what you end up talking about and somehow, someway this environment was perfect for the kind of reflection it provided for Chamath to talk about.
The interviewer is brutal...hard to watch.
Thanks!!!!!
I see this dude talking and I listen lol also as a minority is great to see someone you can relate to and listen to the trajectory of his life.
25:30. I heard him in another interview bring up the same point, which I agree with- that there’s a know-it-all culture in the U.S.
great discussion, thanks Dhananja and Chamath
wow that lady at the end sat through the whole talk and didnt hear a word he said. I can't believe it seriously... and most people are like this.. such a shame
That's the majority of the population.
she's an idiot smh then tried to shame him for his success. what a loser
Listening to him is incredible. I would love to talk to him, maybe I could try to even help him. Like 'relasing it' this trauma
26:00 is a gem
This interview is good as gold.
let's make 2021 our record year. it is possible. sales vlog here hey hey!
Instead of focusing on the interviewer, why not take the time to listen to what these men have to say?
Who cares how the interviewer acts. Focus on learning something instead.
I'll focus on what I want to focus on. Can I live my best life dawg??
The interviewer is ruining the whole learning experience with his awful sounds.
Chamath my man.
why did I miss this.
❤️ Chamath
He is the walking epitome of an entrepreneur
Man I like him already. He is good
46:25 FACTS!!!!!
This is very Cool.
Listen to the interviewer's laugh at 2x speed
Dudes playing on his phone while speaking to a living legend who just told him to stop playing with his phone...
he was checking twitter questions from audience members
The interviewer wasn’t terrible. He was just trying too hard.
Whoever cheered at 22:50 mark, must be a very very happy person today.
Too much wisdom
This guy is not a professional interviewer so give him break. But if you think the interviewer is bad here, wait until you see Chamath interviewed every time he goes on CNBC.
Funny, you have a way of making us feel like we're important.
nice job mail it in
clearly there's no audio engineering at this school because the audio sounds like shit.
you have found a vaccum
Yup was thinking exactly the same! that 615K down on that graphic eq plzzzzz
Interviewer is way too nervous and shouting/laughing for no apparent reason
Damn, Chamath was at Winamp? Cool. Remember those Winamp skins?
Of course. I used to switch skins all the time
Whips a lammas ass
How did he end up working at banks and tech companies with an EE degree?
Chamath is incredible. DJ the interviewer is the opposite.
That ending tho
Please remove these jokers who interview Chamath! Chamath is best all by himself while he is expressing his thoughts!! A questionnaire would suffice!!!
Psalm 90 vs 17: May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us-
yes, establish the work of our hands.

Chamath devuelve el Canal delos Titanes
A great thinker and investor interviewed by an obnoxious and clueless interviewer. I had to tune out the interviewer so much just to absorb the wisdom Chamath shared.

I wonder if Charmath has a spiritual practice like meditation or smth like that
Prolly
He seems like a mediator. Couldn't find any info on it though.

22:00 “teamwork is for losers” - founder of maxim magazine (died a billionaire)
oh so virtuous Chamath LOL
This guy is all hot air. Most of the interview was about feelings and emotions and being balanced and all that driven puff piece fluff. Watch him on another chat, he's literally yelling "follow the effin money, who cares about your values. Only when you have money and power do your values matter." Then in this talk he's like, Oh I didn't want to just be a slave to money, I wanted to do what made me happy. All hot air. He's show business, thats all.
Don't be afraid to change. He said it😂
