Cool video! Been working out with rings for 5 months and I'm loving it, thanks for sharing your workout :)

I agree, long straps are necessary if you want to use random trees. That's what I do. But long straps are a pain to manage so I made myself a reel for them out of plywood and a skate board wheel. The reel fits inside the rings and makes a neat package. The straps are 25mm x 7m long. There is a small length of strap screwed to the wheel (hub of the reel) and I buckle a strap to it, wind it up, and buckle the other strap to the loose end, and wind that on too.

I've just used the rings i bought for my birthday and i loved it, it is hard as fuck, you get humbled really quick, i can do 20 push ups on the floor, on barely 7 on the rings, 5 dips on bar, and not even one in rings, i set it up on a tree at my house, i thought the bough was going to break but it was great

Good stuff. You might comment some more on hand positions. I see you change them on certain exercises.

Good feedback. If I make more videos on rings I'll look into this.

Do you put something like chalk on your hands? Or Talk or something like that?

I do sometimes use liquid chalk. It's a nice to have, but not essential IMO.

Warning. Trees shed boughs. It's a good idea to have a good look to be sure the bough is alive and test it before committing. Young thin boughs are safer than old gnarly ones. To throw a strap over a bough I tie it loosely to one of my rings.

Very good point, regarding strap, would it be a bit like a tree protector used in slack lining? Or something else?

I liked the part where you said you could do a full body workout and left out the legs..... I love my rings but they really are not a full body tool. Not to detract from them they are amazing!

Right you are! If you hear of any ways to add them in with rings let me know.

you can do a weird horizontal angled squat against a wall with rings but even ring gymnasts do squats and other leg exercises.@@Optimalsleep
