    ➖ Recipe ➖
    Chicken Kyiv
    Garlic Butter -
    250g (8.8oz) - Unsalted Butter, Softened
    8 - Garlic Cloves, Grated
    1/2 - Shallot, Brunoise
    1/4 - Lemon, Juice & Zest
    10g (0.3oz) - Flat Leaf Parsley, Chopped
    Salt & Pepper
    Chicken Kyiv -
    4 - Chicken Breast
    1 1/2 Cups (180g) - Plain (All Purpose) Flour
    4 - Eggs
    1/4 Cup (60ml) - Milk
    2 Cups (100g)- Panko Breadcrumbs
    Oil for Frying
    Method -
Add the garlic butter ingredients in a bowl and mix well to combine. This can be placed into a blender if needed. Place into a piping bag.
Make a large slice in the largest end of the chicken breast, working your way through the middle until you reach the opposite side. Don’t slice through the chicken or create any holes, as all of the garlic butter will pour out when cooking.
Place the chicken in flour, egg wash, panko breadcrumbs, egg wash, and breadcrumbs. This is a double pane.
Heat the oil to 180.c - 350.f. In batches, fry the chicken Kyiv until golden and cooked through. This will take 10-12 minutes or until an internal temperature of 74.c - 165.f. If the oil is too hot, the chicken will brown quickly, and the centre will be raw. If you don’t want to fry the chicken, preheat the oven or air fryer to 200.c - 390.f and bake with a drizzle of oil for 20-22 minutes in the oven and 20 minutes in the air fryer or until lightly golden and cooked through.
Serve the chicken Kyiv with mashed potato, salad, or chips-the choice is yours. Garnish with flat-leaf parsley (optional). Dig in.

Согласно В. В.

I love Chicken Kyiv, I've made them before and I'll tell you when you said "these are SO easy to make as well" I just about pissed myself laughing.
But ... I'll be damned ... your way of making them DOES seem to resolve the issue that made them very NOT easy to make, which was either butterflying the breast and/or pounding the breasts flat and then wrapping that around a butter lump and trying to tuck it all together and have it not leak.
I'll have to give this method a try.
Also, I don't use lemon but do add tarragon to the garlic butter.
