The Attrition in Infosys is roughly 28%. This indicates that there is something murky that is going on in corporate sector.
Even I had a corporate job which paid quite well, but I ended up leaving it to pursue some other path. Why did I do so?

In short, if you are privileged enough to do whatever you want, you have enough money to go and explore , you have enough money to study abroad and enough money to take up the big move like leaving your job and taking risk then everything looks good. The major reason why people don't leave their jobs is the responsibilities they have, the dependents they have, loans, emi etc. If anyone is privileged to not having above responsibilities, one can definitely do what akshat is sharing in video.

After working 9+ years in the I.T Industry in 3 big MNCs and one small organization, I have realized that the more money I earn the more poorer I have become with respect to time... I have (somewhat) more money but I hardly have any time to enjoy that money...This is a Vicious Circle which most of the people fall into...We learn to Earn and then we don't have time to enjoy that money and by the time we get old we don't have the energy to enjoy that money earned and time left because we are just robbed of our mental and physical well being after having worked for so long in the corporate prison [home loan, marriage, childrens education and Ailing Old parents adds icing on this CAKE OF STRESS] ....Happy Realization !!

I quit my IT job a few months back after close to 20 yrs in IT. I had the same thought - the pressures, anxieties and lack of flexibility and freedom was too much to take - would be so sick & pointless living the life of an employee for another couple of years for the sake of money . Ive been into stocks for the last few years so am now only doin that even if im makin the same or less money - can now spend more time with family members, relax, have more time for my hobbies & passion, etc.

@@doncorleone3901 its not about love for tech Mr. The work culture, office politics, pressures, deadlines, dealin with some of the arrogant and egoistic bosses and coworkers, sometimes tough & demanding clients at work places can get sickening over time and the pay though good is not so huge here either. You would not have the flexibility and independence to do your own thing when you're an employee. Companies & bosses literally control your life. Like taking leave even when you badly need it can be such a big deal in workplaces - you are many a times made to feel like they're doin you a massive favor and then the leave will rarely be given for more than 2 weeks. If the negatives outweigh the positives it makes no sense to continue doin what you do whether its tech or non tech. Many of the workplaces and the people you work with can and will probably eventually kill your passion for tech. Go with what you think you should do and what works for you. Just cause you're into tech does not mean your world should end with tech. Besides my wife has a medical condition and though the problem is not at dangerous levels she needs help from time to time and then there's a treatment plan that needs my time & attention. So that was another reason for me to call it quits.

@@doncorleone3901 The scenario in India is quite different. Students take education loan to spend 4 years in an Engineering college learning nothing but only enjoying their time...The 4 years seem like a Picnic (which I too enjoyed) but the dreadful part comes when one joins Corporate MNC through Campus placements (more tough for those who do not even get a Campus Placement)...Now since the students didn't learned anything in their 4 years of So called Engineering College Duration they end up doing Excel and Word based work in Support projects in MNC (many unlucky ones end up in night shifts)...So where does tech come here when there is no coding...There are a lucky few who gets hands-on coding experience in projects in these Companies (but as I said these are only a lucky few)...The majority of people need to do self study on weekends just to switch the Companies withing a span of 2-3 years of joining and this continues till they get married or reach their comfort zone...And as little bit of Salary Increases after a Switch then also increases the Pressure and Anxiety Causing Deadlines
....This Cycle if not stopped will repeat till retirement with the many so called "100% Self Study and 0% Real world Coding Experience" Techies... Due to Lack of Physical Exercise many people will end up with Lifestyle related diseases like Diabetes and Hypertension...Psst (India is the Diabetes Capital of the World).
The scenario in foreign countries is different where there is less population..hence less competition...less notice period(15 days as compared to 90 days in India)...More pay and Good Work Life Balance... I have worked with many foreign clients and truly appreciated their Zeal for Work Life Balance...But compare that to Indian Managers in these Service based Tech companies and you come across nothing but Toxic Work Culture and Cringy Office Politics...
I too was a developer before but due to lack of opportunities ended up in QA Automation...Although i don't hate my work but the only thing I dislike is the Constant Pressure of Meeting the Deadlines...

I dont know about you Akshat but for me, yes, this is an obvious dream. Materialistic things are of least importance. I am glad you also realised this before you became 60. However, would like to point out that everyone is not at the stage of the life you are in so the words that you try to impose on others shows that you are trying to tell people you are living a much better life and everyone should follow your footsteps. Afterall you have left your high paying job and it is a risk for you as well and you want your channel and followers to grow hence you have atleast another source of income. I know you have a lot of investments and you were born with a silver spoon and you got a good joba nd you took decisions that would have a positive impact on your life in future but you must understand not everyone is not in your shoes. Some even have to start from negative (not even zero) to reach to a position where they can say they are living with a purpose. Some even have to sacrifice a lot. I used to be a subscriber of your channel but when I found out a pattern in your videos I unsubscribed. But lately, even youtube is showing me videos in my feed that i'd disliked or ought to dislike.

Bro! you have seen the real truth of life. what you said is truth of life. we should take calculated and informed decisions before quitting job! we should not take impulsive decision. i agree we must plan our exit and try to build skills with which you can survive.... i sometimes say to my wife in a lighter mode that i can atleast teach tutions to physics student i wont let my children sleep hungry!!! :D so that s a kind of approach you need to stay motivated and live healthy life after quitting job. love you bro for your honesty and courage to help people and have social impact.

I would like to share here that these days kids are more risk taking and have the confidence and are able demonstrate that they can confidently choose alternate career paths and be successful. My son is 18 years old and he has been freelancing over the last 2 years and has successfully established a career for himself. I wish I had the same kind of confidence then to experiment with my passion and make a career out of it.

He never claims that he is this and that.
Internet was a very beautiful place before the arrival of Jio.
Now every other so-called successful man comes here and boasts, I am rich, I am financially free, my net worth great. I am this, I am that and the whole world is a chutiya. Ambani, Sachin, Tata, Birla, is nothing.

Largely agree with most points. However, I wouldn't spend too much time on the "planning" part (plan B, C etc). People tend to waste a lot of time just planning rather building the ability to learn and adapt quickly (read develop new skills). That said, the idea is to not jump into the deep end of the pool right away but prep yourself to latch on to opportunities and connections as they manifest. My model is to always stay away from the comfort zone and learn something new every day.

It depends how the job treats you , how motivated you are to the job and how you are maintaining family relations. Unless you balance all these three things you can't keep mental balance and that cause turbulence in everywhere ? Most people loose balance while in the job and out of job. These things are not taught in school or by parents. You have to realize and built these skillsets and as usual Human beings always tend to blame others when they fail or caught up with heat exchange. That's why lot of professionals stay away from marriage and dedicate themselves in job or work.
Most people think money is ultimate but that is not the case always. Yes Money do play an important role but managing everything together to keep peace on every side is real skill set which everyone has to develop.
