This is like a solo podcast & not just normal varun mayya video. I just want to add one point here, which I think soo many would've added but still I want to share & it's that when I was growing up society & people who were working in private & IT sectors used to scare when it came to grabbing first job/internship & when I actually went it was normal & new experience for me. Scaring should be wiped out & guiding to the Young generation should be prioritised more which millenials are doing right now.

It was during my internship, I had never worked with 3d images and i was fearful that i would fail. I interned for 3 months before joining full time. 80% of whatever's said in this video, I understood during my time here as an intern. One coz my founders are transparent about most stuff and two, because when you work at a startup, you aren't treated as an employee; you are accountable for your part as an equal. You see everything so closely that you kinda understand the workings of starting a company. It's not as glamorous as the media makes it and not everyone's cut out to be a founder.

And now Varun believes-like his parents-that GenZ are not having a realistic approach to their career.
From owning dedicated physical infrastructure for our product we did move to the cloud just like from working for someone we moved to being entrepreneurs.
GenZ or whichever generation is just getting started with tech, they'll be driving the next trend. No matter how much we "school" them the way our parents schooled us because "beta humne itne saal ghisaya hai" - this sound similar to I've been a founder for more than decade so what I say is gospel.

The part where Varun mentions about people asking for crazy salaries, i understand the kind. One of my friend constantly asks me to quit my job here and change companies so I can get a salary hike quickly. But I always feel like, even if I'm paid more, will I be able to do justice to my salary, because I'm still learning and I haven't driven any real results.
For example, we hired an experienced person for a role at a fairly big cost but 4 months later the company had to fire the person because there wasn't any active participation from their end. Companies might hire you, but if you bring no real value, no one will keep you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, a thousand times thank you! I thought I was going insane from asking these valid questions and speaking for embracing reality. I had to fight to keep my common sense amidst the ridiculous illusions the internet spins. I am not a millionaire and don't wish to be one. But I am glad I can be mindful of my hardwork, take calculated risks, and wear my victories and failures on the beaten down cap that sits on my head. Things that are built to last are built steadily over time and much evolution.

I am a 21 year old fresh graduate , extremely under confident and over stressing , had the opportunity of landing an internship at swiggy in sales from the last week i've been feeling very scared and tensed about my capability of proving my worth . This video gave me the motivation and inspiration on the things i can work on , and to be an employee who can really contribute for the betterment of the company rather than throwing jargons. Love you Mr. Mayya ❤❤

I think the reason why it takes five to 10 years to succeed in business is that trust is not easy and it takes time.
You might have the best product in the world and you may be in a hurry to sell but the customer is not in a hurry to buy.
This is why I recommend to my students that whether or not they have a product or a business now, they should start earning people's trust starting from today.
This way when they have a product to sell the trust will be there already and they will get sales much faster. They can also get investors faster because they have a proven track record.

Well this is a really great video, as I myself want to eventually start a company of my own, but also because I currently work in an early stage startup and this video gave a pretty good understanding of a founder's perspective as well as other components of the business that are essential in keeping it running.
Also I checked your Aeos company website. Just a little nitpick that the footer of the webpage (bottom-right) has the following texts - "Terms & Conditions" and "Privacy Policy", but these don't work and redirect to any specified page (unless they are not designed to be hyperlinks, but I don't think so). So I guess you can either make them functional or remove them altogether.

@@VarunMayyaDamn, you guys just wanna get rid of your website 😅
How will that work? I guess maybe when AR becomes better and affordable, then some new form of visual interaction/discovery might come into play.
Either way, all the best in your journey ahead!

    • @Skyvastern
      @Skyvastern Před měsícem

@@VarunMayya Yeah sending directly is how I think it works most of the time.
In the context of a website, I think discoverability is about users making the action themself to find more information about a company, rather than company doing it themself.
So if user wishes to search more about a company, then if we consider this discoverability, then I think here website will be needed.
