    One of my doubts which I want to get clear is:
    Some students generally know the importance of MBA Abroad than MBA India, but they think that for doing an MBA Abroad we must have 5-6 years of work experience so they generally go for MBA India so that they get a good job as they might not have a job before!(basically to get good job fast)
    So my doubt is: can such students after having 5-6 years of work experience do 2nd MBA from Abroad???
    Does doing a 2nd MBA just to get INTERNATIONAL EXposure is a good option?

  • @rizwanrafeek4486
    @rizwanrafeek4486 Před 3 lety +57

    Really good video.
    However, there is something that is glossed over upon by you in this analysis. Immigration and Visa's. Given that it has been increasingly difficult for indian working professionals in the US to secure an H1-B visa over the years and even more difficult to secure a green card/citizenship, how does it make sense to invest over a 170,000 USD for a degree that can land you a job that you can do for 3 or 6 years max on an extended H1-B visa. The chance that you convert that H1-B visa into a green card over those 3 or 6 years is close to zero thanks to increased competition for green cards. So when your 3/6 years are up, you'll have to return back to India, where your american business degree can at best only fetch the same value as an IIM-A degree and at worst nothing.

    Hi Akshat, the video is very informative. But, your analysis is extremely biased towards top-tier B-schools in India and abroad. We shouldn't forget that there is a vast majority of "normal" people who attend B-schools which are not top-tier (per your list), but are still good. For example, how does an MBA from NITIE/SP Jain compare with the one from Ross? Would be nice if you could make your videos more inclusive and not obsessively focused only top 3 B-schools in India and abroad.

    loved the video! but I think it lacked 1 very important factor the trade-offs/ brand value involved (or to be considered)
    Sure Harvard/ Insead vs IIMA/ ISB, one should always choose the former. But the real question comes into picture when you have to decide between say a Top-15 or Top-20 US program vs ISB/IIMA in India. Example - Like how would you evaluate between McCombs MBA (T-18 in US) and ISB/IIMA in India for say a career in tech (Mccombs strongpoint)?

    Insightful and inspiring. Could you also shed more light on double MBA ROI and benefits? Let's say a student graduates from an IIM at 27-28, then enters Yale/Oxford/NYU at 34-35? Do you think that's a beneficial move to enter into the top echelons of global companies?

    Thank you for this amazing video, Sir! If one is considering Canada, say Rotman School of Management. Would it be a wise decision to choose it over Indian B school? If you could please brief about MBA Canada.

    A general question: What is a good work experience if I’m planning on a foreign MBA?

    • @kishanagarwal5369
      @kishanagarwal5369 Před 3 lety +4

      For MBA it's generally suggested to have around 5-7 years of experience before pursuing the same.

    • @mikejos5759
      @mikejos5759 Před 3 lety +7

      The pre MBA experience would be to work as an analyst in investment banking, management consulting, boutique asset management, VC or some in house corp finance role. I have seen people get admitted easily in MBA programs with such background. The truth is MBA programs are working in their own interest. These programs want good numbers with placements and network. So they look for people who are the most in demand in market post MBA. However they also have some quotas for diverse experience but barriers for entry for those categories are low. So the competition remains the same for those as well.. getting into MBA is one thing and having a solid career and job is another.. Ask any MBA after 10 yrs and they will tell U this.. so don't stress your finances for MBA it's not worth it.. put a 50% probability of getting a job you dream of after a MBA.. plan for the 50% when it doesn't go as you dream.. life keeps moving no matter what happens in your career.. so play wise

    I feel from the last 3 videos including this on your channel were kind of telepathic phenomenon.
    I was worried or needed clarity on those topics.. And I see notification popping up about a new video of yours covering that 😂.
    Great Going akshat keep up the good work.
