There are so many mistakes in this run down. The worst error is stating that Margaret Court has only 11 Slams. She has 11 Australian titles alone and 13 other slam titles for a total of 24! That places her at number one on this fault-laden list.

You might say that Maureen Connolly never lost a Grand Slam tournament. She started playing at Forest Hills when she was 14. She didn’t win it until she was 16 (a week or two before her 17th birthday) but after than I believe she won every Grand Slam she entered. In 1953, at age 18, she won all four Grand Slams, and she had won the first two in 1954, but then her career ended when she broke her leg in a horseback riding accident at 19. Her career total was nine Grand Slam titles, but if she had been able to play another fifteen years until her mid-thirties, like players do now, her career total might have reached thirty-five or even forty Grand Slams. Of course even if she had been able to keep playing into her thirties she probably wouldn’t have because there was no money in it in those days. And as it happened she didn’t live long enough to play fifteen more years; she died tragically early, at 34.
She’s not in the list in this video, apparently because her titles were before the open era. That’s like counting which team has won the most NFL championships but ignoring all the years before the Super Bowl.

Monica never recovered from all her personal struggles and that is why she couldn't perform on the court anymore. Graf had a lot of injuries... her most severe one was her knee (and back). It forced her to reduce training in 1996 and made her compete only at the mandatory events which she almost all won. In 1997 Graf had to retire the season on and off and then permanently after the French Open. She needed 14 months to return to form and in summer of 1999 was back at #3 in the world rankings, with 2 GS finals to her name. Yes, within just four short years on the tour Seles won faster and more than anyone ever in the open era before the stabbing. To this day no one has won that many and that fast from the moment they turned professional.

Without the 1990-92 blackmail scandal and her 1997 reconstructive knee surgery (at age 27!) Steffi would have won far more than 30 slams.
In peak form she was unplayable for any biological woman. Trans Federer might have beaten her, though.

This is Grand Slam Singles titles. You need to take EVERYTHING into consideration when talking about the GOAT of women's tennis. Martina Navratilova won 167 MAJOR SINGLES TITLES AND 177 MAJOR DOUBLES TITLES including a WORLD RECORD 9 Singles titles at the greatest tennis tournament in the world Wimbledon!!!. She's the GOAT by a country mile!!!.

      Doubles?
This funny competition in which the great Gigi Fernandez won 17 slams?
Of which 99 % of tennis fans have already forgotten who won Wimbledon?
Martina has four slams less than the great Steffi. FOUR!
And Martina crumbled when the Grand Slam was at stake in 1984, Steffi won the Golden Slam in 1988.
Granted, Martina is most probably the greatest player of her home country (even though many think Serena Williams is greater).
