  • This video looks at the horrifying and sad stories of detransitioners who share their experiences on Reddit. A detransitioner is someone who previously identified as transgender but no longer does. In almost all cases, they are left with the horrible consequences of the gender-altering process.
The purpose of this video is to educate and inform about a major issue of our time. For obvious reasons, be warned that the video covers heavy and disturbing subject matter.

@@Chefsupporter It is not 'trendy'. It is in lots of media now because it's important to have accurate representation. If any representation in media immediately makes kids gay/trans, how was anyone gay/trans before there were gay/trans people in media? Baffling, innit?
I wish I had good trans representation in my media/life as a child. I always had people around me with a positive attitude towards gay people and explained being gay in terms I could understand at a young age, which is, I think, the reason I realized I like all genders earlier than I realized I was actually a guy, and I think that if I had people around me with the same attitude about trans people I would have realized earlier and even potentially been able to get puberty blockers before my puberty started.
Also, you have no idea what other peoples' experiences are. 'they are gonna regret it in a couple years' you don't know that for a fact. Unless you're some omniscient being, you've no idea what other people will regret or not in a few years.

At some level, if you made that decision to deceive yourself though your own free will (if you weren't a child or chronically mentally ill being led into the decision by an adult (criminal)), it is one of the most extreme forms of reaping what you have sown that I can't say I pity much. There is no one to blame but yourself in who knows how many of these cases, where you chose to believe an obvious lie that can be dismantled with an hour or two of thought and paid dearly for it. If that lie had been "you can now swim in lava" and had someone lost their legs from jumping into lava, would anyone really feel sorry for them? If it's just plain stupidity and willful ignorance/pride it seems deserved.
Though it's likely that these "trans" tragedies are disproportionately mentally ill and/or broken/abused as children since it seems extremely unlikely that any sane human being would willingly go through that horrid transification pipeline, even without the surgery.
We should probably be guiding people to reach their full potential regardless of mental illness if possible rather than let all that potential be wasted and justifying it with Darwinism.

And as we're in a period where the most vile acts imaginable are being treated as good, and everything that is good is being labeled as evil, then we will always see a gradual increase in a desire to believe in something greater, because the world we live in now, we know is not right, we see the sin that's over taken and has become dominant in society, and rightfully we recognize it, rightfully we want to oppose it, but this requires a concept and belief of what is good, this is something that materialistic ideals cannot provide.

I went through depression for 8 years. I'm completely better now. :) Anyway when i was at my most suicidal point, I felt i was trans for awhile... I kept the feeling inside, never changed my appearance at all, And as my depression got better, that feeling disappeared completely.
My best guess as to why I had that feeling is that i was in such pain for so long inside myself that the feeling of becoming different, maybe gave me comfort or made me feel like there was a way forward, I wanted to not be me anymore.
It's really made my think if there's a link between feeling suicidal and gender dysphoria though... would make sense given how high the transgender suicide rate is.

The reason why I find this amusing is because gender doesn't physically exist. Sex does, but not gender. Gender is the personality-template (so to speak) that in most cases corresponds to ones sex, therefore gender is entirely psychological. If gender was actually whats in your pants then you'd be right and it would exist in reality, but doesn't. And unlike other psychological conditions, gender dysphoria, in most cases believe it or not, doesn't actually harm the patient or the people around them. Crazy right? All it takes a quick google search.

It’s the same situation as the legal age of consent. Children are far too easily influenced to make major life decisions like this. For a section of my early teenage life (12-14) I really though something was wrong with me. I liked keeping my hair short, I hated dresses and tight clothing, I didn’t wear makeup. Because of not fitting into feminine stereotypes, people online told me I must be trans. I’ve never thought of my gender as being some huge part of my identity, and I’m honestly confused by people who treat it as a defining characteristic. To any confused kiddos out there, there’s nothing wrong with you… we’re all insecure. You’re never going to feel like yourself, that’s life. You’re not a fictional character, you’re a complex human being. Love yourself for what you are❤

The thing about trends whether it's fashion or whatever. Those can actually be dropped, Your hair will grow back and you can always redye it. Clothes that you don't like anymore you can toss or donate.
But something like transitioning from male to female and vice versa is some serious stuff. I mean just look at some of the female body builders that took steroids.
Changing genders should not be a trend. Do your research and make sure it's something you want to do. Don't do it just because you think it's what you want and everybody else is doing it.

Don’t be so hard on yourself though, because you did what you thought felt right for you at the time you know? I hope those people are okay and getting help with their mental health. I'm trans myself (no surgeries, hormones for about 3 years) and find that stories like these really shine a light on the awful problems in the community, namely how much it's glamorized, I don't regret deciding to transition for a minute because I was apathetic to life before, but I feel like the community really likes to act like transition is the instant win button for life, I went in knowing the consequences and risks and accepted them as an adult, but hearing stories of people who transition as children or aren't carefully informed going in is just ridiculous, it just makes everyone look bad. You can't convince me for a minute it isn't a conspiracy to get people hooked on drugs so they can have a completely medicated generation.
As for legality, I feel like people should be allowed to do as they please, regardless of danger, I mean you don't arrest someone for trying to killing themselves, we can't nor should we bubblewrap the world, it only opens the door to tyranny.
Of course people should always be allowed to tell their stories for better or worse and I feel like people should be given both sides to figure out if it's right for them, in my view there's always a balance.

I feel horrible for the people and children who's lives were ruined because the media and politicians are marketing off of the existence of queer people.
Im trans and bisexual. I honestly wish I wasn't. I just want to live a normal life.
If there was some magic pill that would have made these feelings go away i would have taken it. But It doesn't exist, and I didn't choose to feel this way about myself. I've fought with myself for years and have done everything in my power to become "normal" I even found myself turning to religion and becoming a born again Christian, feeling just as defeated. All of my efforts have helped with nothing. I'm still stuck fighting the same demons and have been left to choose between the same options. To continue putting myself through this mentally taxing never ending cycle until It gets the best of me, or transitioning to living a life that would actually feel bearable.

      @Jupiter__001_ Před rokem +2

How do you know your life would be more bearable having transitioned?
Also, the struggle does not have to overcome you like how Peter sank into the water when he looked at the storm around him. With a genuine faith in Christ (no matter how small) and the fire of the Holy Spirit, we are called to struggle onwards towards the finish line. It will never be easy, but you must fight on. This is the cross you must bear, and it will possibly be with you all the way to your grave. But please note that it is not necessarily sinful to have these feelings in the first place, but rather to indulge in them (in thought or in deed).
I implore you, fight on, struggling soldier, and never lose sight of the final victory we have in Christ.

These kids need adults who think and act rationally with their best interests in mind but it becomes impossible when doctors lie to patients and their parents. We have to know what's really going on or it's malpractice. Doctors need to be held accountable, keeping transition cases that go wrong a secret is in the doctor's and pharma's best interests so the doctor won't get in trouble and pharma has a life long client/money bag. Kids deserve better, transitioners, de-transitioners, patients and parents all deserve better than this abuse.

As much as I'm against transitioning, I also believe it should believe legal but under very strict terms - proper psychiatric evaluations and long-term therapy, age limit increased to 25, exercise, nutrition, blood work - turns out when your bloodwork is out of whack, so are your hormones and it makes you believe crazy stuff. Gender dysphoria is a real condition, and we should treat it as such. What we shouldn't do is indoctrinate (young) people into thinking they're in wrong bodies and teach them to hate themselves a bit less instead.

The fact that this is being pushed on teenagers, let alone children, nowadays is monstrous. Depression, dissatisfaction with one's body, and feelings of isolation are common amongst teenagers who go through a stage of their life where their body changes, their hormones go wild, and can have trouble finding a legitimate community they feel like they belong to. Instead of addressing these issues, you have groups with what I can only assume is malicious intent pushing them to irreversibly surgically mutilate themselves - something which doesn't cure any of those issues directly, especially in the case of those transgenders who can't pass which is why you see so many outbursts over issues of misgendering (working as a bank teller during college, I even had a customer go nuts on me when I correctly gendered them in spite of their obvious transformation but expressed confusion when they offered me an ID with a male name despite the check being made out to their female one) but instead can very well make them worse. In the case of children, you have that same group pushing their agenda on people who barely understand the concept of sex and gender while being easily impressionable by authority figures. It only takes one manipulative teacher to plant seeds of doubts in a child, all while telling them to keep their discussions secret from their parents, to lead them to making a decision the consequences of which they couldn't possibly understand.
