Fuel Filter Step By Step Replacement | Honda Accord 2.2i-CTDi

In this video we are going to show you how to replace fuel filter on 7th generation Honda Accord 2005 2.2 i-CTDi. This diesel engine (N22A 140HP 103KW) was found on Hondas like:
Civic (FK3 / FN3) from 2005 and 2012;
Accord (CN1 / CN2) from 2003 and 2008;
FR-V (BE5) 2004 and 2008;
CRV (RD9 / RE6) from 2006 and 2012.
Dirty fuel filters are bad for diesel engines. Regular filter changes can help to prevent problems like stalling, erratic fuel flow, long cranking before the engine starts and other problems.

Fyi you can do this without removing the airbox and black cover. Just use a 3/8 extension with a swivel attachment on the end to reach the 10mm nut at the back of the filter housing. Also take out the 10mm nut on the opposite side of the housing which allows the filter to angle forward which gives u enough tilt to remove the filter without impacting the body. Takes me around 15 minutes each time.

This has to be the most difficult fuel filter change i have ever done !!
Ive had 44 different cars and its never taken me so long (+1h) to take the filter off !!!
Why fix it in place in a bracket with 6 screws under the dashboard , accessing under the bonnet ???
There are 3 different areas it could have been put with longer hoses but so much easier for the person changing it !!!
Even the bleeder pump is held hidden in a bracket , like what is the point in that ???? The whole reason of having a hand pump is to get to it with your hand, but not in this case .
THERE ISNO WAY IN HELL IF IM GOING TO PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT CAME OUT.

This is the pre-facelift model. From 2006 to 2008 the filter is different and to have it replaced it's more time consuming.

It's not hard. Do it calmly and careful. There are some guides if you google.
The filter is bolt on. Remove all the piece, connectors and lines.
Unbolt old filter, remove water sensor from old filter, change oring and attach sensor to new filter, bolt it on, attach lines and sensors (mark each one with a symbol or diferent colour so you know what goes where).
Squeeze the "pear" till it gets hard to fill the filter with diesel and remove air. Turn on car and leave 1-2 minutes at 1500-2000 rpm. Turn off. Squeeze pear, do this 2-3 times and it should be bleeded.
If car fails under hard acceleration or turns off and blinks the "coil" on dashboard, you got some air in the system. Repeat squeezing the pear some few times. It should go away.
The hardest part is unbolt the bracket of the filter.
2x 10mm nuts that are between the firewall and the bracket... must go by hand feeling and use ratchet and extension...a bit tricky especially when you are putting it back as you have to hold the bracket so it doesn't move/fall.
