  • The Angel factory recently sent us some tips on keeping the stainless steel augers and housing free of any discolorations. We demonstrate the two methods in this video.
    Method 1: Baking Soda
Pour water into a container large enough to hold the augers and housing
Add 1T baking soda per liter
Soak the housing and augers in this solution overnight
Remove the augers and housing, sprinkle with baking soda, and scrub them with the cleaning brush or a stiff toothbrush
    Rinse and allow to dry
    Method 2: Lemon juice
Cut up and juice 2-3 lemons, leaving peel on
Remove the housing and augers, and place them on a plate to dry for 2-3 hours
After drying, soak the housing and augers in warm water for 3-4 hours
Remove from warm water and scrub with the cleaning brush
    Rinse and allow to dry

If you can afford the Angel Juicer, go for it. In my opinion, there is nothing like it out there. You can juice a whole stalk of celery. No need to cut it up in small pieces. It's amazing how you can juice greens like spinach, dandelion, parsley, etc. with such ease. The pulp is completely dry.

I have been placing the Angel Juicer bits into the dishwasher the last few years after each use. The first few months I only washed by hand and the holes started getting clogged but coke out perfect after being in the dishwasher. I have not seen anything saying it is not allowed to be in the dishwasher. Sparkling clean always. Better than soaking. I use my Angel Juicer every other day.

Wondering why it is now allowed to put extractors completely submerged FULLY under water, with baking soda, no less
and for them to remain COMPLETELY submerged for hours on end, when it was my understanding that the magnets in the surface
that contacts the housing was to never be submerged under water, before.
Has the composition of the housing and magnets changed, recently that they, now, recommend putting them under water
and the magets will no longer be compromised?
Do you recommend to wash fully submerged as you know that the magnet and sensors will not be compromised
and the unit will no longer turn on?
    also..
Do you really recommend putting lemons with RINDS in them through the juicer?
Do you have a source of lemons that do not have WAX applied to the rinds? or do you think
that it's not a bad idea to get wax all over the gears and in the inside of the extractor housing?
Thank you for your help, as all of these instructions are in conflict with what i thought i knew
    about cleaning the Angel juicers.

I finally understood how to clean my Angel Juicer with your helpful video. I used the baking soda and water soak. Overnight. I make at least 64 ounces of carrot daily plus others. Not typical user here. Residue still didn't totally come off after overnight 5 TABLESPOONS baking soda. I found the answer to looking spotless: After soaking I used Fuller Brush Stainless Steel Sponge, 100% stainless steel. Don't apply too much pressure. I did use the baking soda also on the gears and at times on the Sponge. This sponge can be used on pots, pans, sinks, appliances, etc. so used it on the juicer. The tray that sits over gears I didn't use on as it did get a few scratches underneath the top. Amazon may have similar of another Sponge brand. I was able to make it look new again on the gears. I had to gently use a knife to get rid of any excess residue on the gears. I'm pleased with results and will do this weekly so it doesn't happen again. Bar Keeper's may also help when trying to do a final touch to remove the residue with the Stainless Steel Sponge. Go gently on your investment.

@@euJUICERScomwelcome. I couldn't believe how the baking soak solution helped shine up the gears and other parts when submerged. Now because of my massive amount of daily juicing I am making it a weekly event. When I am sleeping it can be cleaning and then a few extra soak hours. I also found gently using the tip of a sharp knife on the gears helped loosen up the "stuck" debris and a paper towel to dry the parts too. Now I feel like a pro on cleaning. Just me perhaps but for others maybe they will appreciate the back to "new" look. The machine is about 2-3 months old only. But it is full of shine on the gears and the "top" covering that keeps the juice from splattering on me. I love that look.

Great video and much needed! I read several of the comments about the difficulty of cleaning and keeping those tiny holes in the "Housing" clear or unclogged. I own the 8500. There is a slight learning curve to keep this awesome machine shiny like new. Notice I said "slight." Baking soda and a toothbrush works for me. The "sensor" button on the Housing is being misrepresented as a huge insurmountable problem. I use a bucket (like in this video) or a tall soup pot. I turn the "sensor" right side up and add water to just below the sensor. I use the built-in hook at the head of the Housing to attach it to the rim of my bucket or pot, which prevents the Housing from submerging under water. It's a simple process. I have not dealt with Turmeric staining yet. If the baking soda does not work, I'll try the liquid Barkeeper's Friend and the lofty toothbrush. I will definitely soak all the parts overnight in a baking soda solution immediately after juicing turmeric or carrots! Once you find your sweet spot for perfect cleaning, the Angel Juicer is super easy to clean and maintain. The money it saves you on buying produce (dry to super dry pulp) is more than worth the initial higher cost of the Angel! The quality of the juice and minimal parts are bonuses.
I've owned all types of juicers and at least 2 models within each category: Horizontal Single Augers (Omegas), Verticals (Tribest & Omega), and cheap Centrifugals. I now own 1 of each style: (Super) Angel Juicer, The Pure, and Sana 727. I almost sold my Super Angel and am so glad that I did not. The cost of organic celery ($3.69 @ Whole Foods) and organic fruits makes buying the Angel a wise decision. It has the highest yield hands down, besides The Pure. About to do an extended Juice Fast and cannot afford to lose excessive amounts of juice (& money) via wet pulp. Reinserting wet pulp never works out and never tastes as good as the original pressing. It's also a time waster!
Once I decided to buy a twin-gear juicer, I knew absolutely 1 thing: If I could afford it the Angel was the one...like "Neo." Lol. Why? For me the Green Star has too many parts!!! Way too many parts to clean. I spend enough time produce shopping and produce prepping. There's no way I am going to spend excessive time cleaning as well. Each machine that I own is super easy to clean for that reason.
Good luck on your juicing journey and I hope my input helps!

I just switched from a omega nc800 to a Angel juicer. Best Decision ever! I just a lot of celery and leafy greens. To give a example on a average bunch of celery I would get roughly 20oz with the omega, this has moved up to 30ish with the Angel. Plus the Omega has a plastic auger that was starting to show wear over 1 year of use.. Lastly, buy the angel used if possible. I paid $400 for my Angel, it took me a few months of looking it, but well worth the search.

Letting everything air dry caused dark stains all over gears and housing. I removed it by soaking in baking soda and hot water overnight then using sonic toothbrush. I wash immediately after juicing with hot soapy water, let the soap soak for a minute or two then brush, rinse and towel dry immediately.

We contacted Angel about this, as their instructions with the baking soda method seem incongruous with the recommendation to keep the magnet sensor dry. They said it wouldn't be a problem to soak the housing with the magnet for "up to a day." You can also put the housing unit in water with the magnet side up, leaving the magnet out of the water.
The housing isn't dishwasher safe because of the magnet, but the augers and other steel parts are. This indicates juice getting into the gearbox. Typically this occurs from overfeeding the juicer with firm ingredients over time. The juicer can only process a certain amount at a time, and if produce is fed too quickly, there is back pressure which can wear down the gasket between the juicing parts and the motor. This will damage the gearbox. You might be able to just replace the gasket to prevent further damage. Otherwise the gearbox will need to have the bearings replaced.

It has been very hard work but it finally seems to be working. The tumeric bits are falling off and it is about 85% clear now to being as new condition. It is just some minimal staining that needs to be cleared to be returned to an as new condition !
I will soak after each use with sodium bicarb now and once a week soak with vinegar and sodium bicarb and see how it goes. This head is only about 3 months old. @@postscriptum9824 Hi Petra. We can't attach a photo in the comments, but if you send an email to info@eujuicers.com, we'll send you a photo showing the part. It's a raised circle on the bottom of the juicing screen, under the feeding tube, on the part of the juicing screen housing closest to where it attaches to the body of the juicer.

I can't shift turmeric stains from my angel juicer (have tried baking soda) Has anyone else experienced staining from turmeric root and found a remedy?

      Hey,
I got an old toothbrush and burshed each pice about 3 times with dishwashingliquid, after turmeric. After the 3. attend everything was pretty clean. If you are not that picky, you might be fine with 2 times. The big brush which comes with the juicer it too big to make that detailed work, but if you have a toothbrush handy, you won't have problems with stains. Good luck 😊

But stainless steel is dishwasher save or am i wrong?

    • @euJUICERScom
      @euJUICERScom  Před 4 lety +1

Yes, you could put the augers there. But the housing cannot be put there because the heat and water can damage the magnetic sensor.

Some people simply can't afford high quality, first-world kitchen appliances. These people need look no further than items made in china. china make very low quality, low cost appliances for third -world budgets and tastes.

@@toolate6971 oh, I hope the 8500 series has screens that last because this is what I have (bought juicer couple months ago). How can you explain that it broke so fast (every 6 months)? you put it in dishwasher? or put in water with the magnet part too? because the screen is quite expensive. I hope it lasts some years. I think the magnet is a problem. I wish there was none. This is certainly the part that will break first.
